Wow, I had somehow never read the Eartha Kitt/Lady Bird story. Eartha kicked so much ass. My great-grandpa was a fairly big player in the Texas Democratic party when LBJ was coming so there are a lot of family stories about him coming over to the house and being way-too-friendly with my then-teenaged grandma and her sister.

Your opinions about meeting presidents are whatever but LBJ was one of the all-time great crazy people and would be fascinating to meet, even though there's like a 70% chance he would show you his hog. I would meet any president presented to me so I could either have a conversation with them (LBJ, Carter, Obama) or yell at them (the field).

Pete Thamel has an article up suggesting the ongoing FBI investigation is going to blow up a lot of top-tier programs. The breathless tone makes me think he's overselling it, but he's generally a pretty reliable reporter. And college sports could sure stand to get blown up. I was at Wisconsin's win over Purdue last night and it was lots o' fun. They did one of those 3D projection things on the court before the game, which is super-cool to see live. They retired Frank Kaminsky's jersey at halftime and he gave a really nice speech while absolutely stunting in a red suit and matching Jordans. And I got to see a court-storming live for the first time. The game itself was dogshit, but it was nice to see one bright spot in this UW season.
