Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase III Discussion
StuntmanCrowley replied to RIPPA's topic in "COMIC BOOK" MOVIES & TV
While not a true "villain" I thought Winter Soldier was extraordinarily well done. Had a true "terminator" vibe to him in that he got little screen time, but when he came on, you knew shit was about to go down. -
I feel like this series revels in being bleak, heels overcoming and overcoming at every point just to hammer in how pointless all of it is unless you're a total scumbag. If Jon's death is permanent, I'm checking out permanently.

Pretty much spot on. I'm a huge Foley guy, but there was no point for that to transpire......and while I know it's common to laugh at how badly the Wyatts have been buried, but holy shit, that was like burying someone alive then building a skyscraper on top of it. I don't even want to get started on the piece of shit Ambrose and Lesnar was.

Wow. This was a sad, sad, sad wrestlemania. I'd argue that the only worthwhile matches were the woman's three way title match and the ladder match. I don't even want to watch the main event.

This build up to Negan has been spectacular thus far.

All time favorite movie characters

Denholm Ellioit as Marcus Brody for me.... It didnt hurt he looked like just my grandfather did. -
This is a blatant piggyback off of the "Great characters in bad movies" thread, but when I was trying to think of some, all I could harken back to was some of my all time favorite performances. One in particular. Norman Stansfield(Gary Oldman) in the Professional. This performance alone has made me a fan of Oldman for life, and consequently, has made me hate the Academy, as he has never won one, albeit they are watered down pandering as of late.

Lance Henriksen in Stone Cold "It's at times like these I remember my fathers last words....DONT SON THAT GUN IS LOADED!"
-
Tim Roth as the Emil Blonsky in The Incredible Hulk. Hated that flick, but thought he nailed it.
-
Well that was just.....fucking terrible.

I liked the rumble until the end. I thought it was as close to perfect as they were going to get....and then Sheamus is 29 and I knew it was all to shit.
-
I wanted Ambrose to win......if only to see a full blown attempt to recreate Brian Pillman

Not the raw thread, but that didn't take long.

I would greatly enjoy if BOTH McCoy and Chip Kelly just vanished

I have and always will despise the fucking Undertaker -
Absolutely tremendous episode, and a continuation in what is, imo, one of their strongest seasons ever.

Is Dallas the new Oakland?
