  1. After the Dark Side of the Ring episode, and what happened at the H20 Exploding match against Tremont(his association with RF), i would honestly be okay if Onita went away and never was seen again. Out of the pioneers of "Death matches" he's the one that I really couldn't give a shit about, despite respecting what he did in starting FMW.
  2. Only time I enjoyed the Russian Leg Sweep was Sandman doing it with the cane and it being so lovingly called a "White Russian" Leg Sweep.
  3. With the starpower and match quality of AEW, I'd say Hangman is vastly underrated in the credit he's given. So many top matches have him involved, but you always find him a second thought to his opponent (see his matches with Bryan Danielson)
  4. I just wanted to chime in to say that I really enjoyed the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, however, I think I've enjoyed all of them in some way or fashion. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4 with Matthew and Renee is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen in my life. I don't think I've ever laughed harder than i did the first time I saw that, so it holds a special place in my heart.
  5. I'll be honest, Cody being the one to finally beat Roman would make me genuinely happy as hell and excited to watch WWE.
  6. I'm in Glen Burnie for work off and on, maybe I'll make a thinly veiled suggestion that this is where I work in May....that looks fun as hell.
  7. So Cody is wrestling's answer to Mad Max? Every time he leaves somewhere to starts another "civlization" (Wrestling Promotion). That could be a gimmick i could get behind.
  8. .....Well, shit. (Speechless, that looks incredible)
  9. So over in the "Best AEW Matches Ever" thread, someone mentioned that while we all laud Omega, Danielson, etc, etc, Hangman is usually in at least 5-7 matches in everyone's top 10. He consistently the best thing on every show and while i wouldn't mind him not bleeding in a defense, im not mad about it. That dude is on an absolute roll, and i hope he doesn't lose the belt anytime soon, it's just getting started.
  10. I've seen a lot of hand-wringing(not here) about the size of the roster, budgets, etc for AEW and using it a reason to insult the company. I love what @zendragon said above that it feels like anyone can show up at anytime. I'm hoping it's Lee tonight. He was a force in NXT, had his legs cut off on the main roster and I think he's someone AEW sorely needs in the main event spot (clicking the obvious boxes), but he's also someone that doesn't have any ties to "The Elite". I feel like the top tier of the card is centered around The Elite/SuperKliq, so having a fresh faced credible main eventer with none of those strings would be awesome.
  11. Honestly, when Goldberg and Saudi are put together, no booking decision is out of the question. It wouldn't shock me if they fed Reigns to Goldberg the same way they did Bray a few years back (I'm admittedly STILL pissed off about that, not only as a huge Wyatt fan, but it strikes me as one of the stupidest booking decisions of all time)
  12. The wrestlemania match that was promised......and no one wanted int he first place!
  13. I'll admit, I'm mostly soured on Lesnar and most of what constitutes "part timers" these days, but at least LEsnar admittedly moves the needles and I've said it before, this is one of my favorite versions of Brock(him winning the rumble, not so much). But Goldberg? I feel like every time he is trotted out to undercut someone's push, etc, there is a collective groan of disgust from the audience. If you have to pull him out of mothballs to do 2 moves horribly, he doesn't need to be in the title scene, he doesn't even need to be close to it. If he had a sell by date, he's well past it (I'm biased though as I'd argue his sell by date was the late 90's, early 2000's). I'm with you on Fuck Hogan Natural, but I'm also adding Fuck Goldberg too, lol
  14. Yay. Goldberg. Someone said Saudi Arabia and he shows up with his pockets turned out. Can't fucking stand that guy.
  15. and by "one of them wrestles a singles", 99% of the time it feels like it's Ethan Page. Scorpio Sky barely wrestles it seems like(im not 100% up to date on Dark/Elevation so i could be wrong)
  16. This might be sacrilege to say, but I think this is the most fun I've EVER had as a professional wrestling fan. I went to ECW shows at the arena, saw the beginning of CZW and ROH in the early 2000's live and have been to a bunch of live WWE events. I don't know if it's because for so so so long we just had the WWE monopoly, but this is an absolute blast to see the resurgence of wrestling and wrestling fandom. You could feasibly watch AEW 4 nights of the week, smackdown/raw, NXT 2.0(im still not all out on it) and it's just an absolute overflow of stimulus. I do need to get myself more into Impact.
  17. I'm not sure who said it on here, but they said Wyatt should be put with Butcher and Blade should he ever sign and that is a Trios I'd like to see, though depending on his presentation, it might be too similar to House of Black.
  18. I hope so, it had to have been more entertaining than what happened in full view.
  19. I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did. But I did.
  20. That 2015 Rumble being in Philly didn't help it at all. Extremely shortsighted by them to dump Bryan and shoehorn Reigns. I'm shocked no one would think that Philly miiiiiight not be the place to do that, lol, I live in Philly so I know what kind of mutants we can be but this reaction almost felt deserved.
  21. I'm watching the 1998 rumble for the inclusion of the three Faces of Foley/Funk
  22. Anyone else think it was shitty to keep showing Deebo Samuel and not only showing him, getting close ups of a man obviously having a personal moment after the loss? I might not be an OBJ fan, but good on him for going over to Deebo. Deebo Samuel did it all for SF, that man deserves better QB play next season...Bring on Lance.
  23. There are people on FB praising this show as a 9.5/10 and that it makes them excited for Mania. I'm aware that everyone has varying tastes and im happy someone enjoyed it, but am I wrong to be completely bewildered as to HOW this was enjoyable? Also, i have no idea where Asuka is, and was hoping she might pop up....is she injured or just left out?
  24. Oof. That's all I can say. Also, they can kiss my ass for the quickness and abrupt nature in which Sasha Banks was eliminated while my 6 year old daughter was watching with her Banks plush.
  25. I went from having absolutely no idea about Danhausen to thinking he may be one of the funniest people in wrestling.....outside of R-Truth of course.
