The Boys sis FAR superior to Preacher. I love preacher but it definitely dives into parodying itself after "War In The Sun". The Boys is satire throughout and the dropoff in story quality doesn't quite drop off the way Preacher did. James

Terry Gordy was KING when it came to selling the Superkick. The thing about the Superkick early on was, he'd miss his mark with it when he really started using it a a finisher but the time around the time of Gino's death he really had the damn over as a killer move and would usually get a guy clean on the chin, or at least on a body partthat would later become a focal point of selling during a match. There is a na early Adams match, with his buzzed head against Gordy where he Gordy's arm. Its a botch as you can tell Adams didn't have the reach on or timing down yet but Gordy sold it like his arm went numb for a few seconds and ten adams worked the arm. Later in the match Adams hits the Superkick clean on Gordy's chin and Gordy takes an over the top bump as only Gordy can James

The Wild Geese isn't, technically, a good movie. I mean it is so bloated with stars, its pretty much like a British version of the Wild Bunch, you just take out the mercenary cowboys and replace them with British Commandos/Mercenaries and put the thing in Africa. It also might have the king of all downer endings. Speaking of overbloated with stars, Jackie Chan's worst American movie is like Citizen Kane compared to Island On Fire (which ironically re-enacts the end of The Wild Geese!) James

The writing on Smith's first series was much tighter and they weren't as concerned as trying to tell this overarching Epic with the Silence. I liked the mystery of of that series (the cracks in time and space and how The Doctor was responsible for it) and it just had some really great fun episodes. It was like everything after "The Big Bang" has been a maddening descent into mediocrity. James
