That's got to be the most random reference in this thread in weeks. It was just something I remember from the old Robotech Art books. Macek lamented how daily syndication wouldn't broadcast a 36 episode series and was told by all syndicators that at minimum a package of 75 episodes had to be available. By adding two more shows totaling 49 episodes he not only got the magic number of 75 but padded it by 10 episodes, thus providing a full 2 1/2 months of weekday syndication viewing. Random Robotech Viewing Fact: NYC was a tough market for Robotech because it originally aired at 6:30AM on Saturday mornings on NBC before its national syndication deal kicked in and the show moved WPIX at 8AM for weekday airings. WPIX already had GI Joe and Transformers at the plum 4-5PM slot and for some reason WPIX didn't want to give-up on re-runs of Heatchliff at 3:30. So Robotech got a terrible morning slot when most kids were already in school. James

I believe the magic number is 75 episodes, at least that what Carl Macek said when he told the story of why he used Sothern Cross and MOSPEDA and tied them into Macross to create Robotech James

RESSHA SENTAI TOKKYUGER A lot of sentai fans are already saying the costumes are too simple and lack detail but I think making it simple will allow later Super Forms to make them look snazzier (at least I think). I personally would have loved if they had made them look more like train conductors a bit since the theme mecha are all trains. In other news... New GARO TV series in the spring (following Kouga and Karoru son) and the ZERO video series plus a new GARO movie "The One Who Shin In The Darkness" cast. Also... Kamen Rider GAIM has been ridiculously fun! Next week the Energy Riders get introduced, including the suits for Cherry, Peach and Lemon arms! I love how over the top insane Kamen Rdier BRAVO is on this show! James

After reading everything I could about Heaven's Gate and decided to try and watch it last night. Netflix has the 219 minute cut up. I'm 90 minutes in and so far the only thing that has happened is Kristofferson slapping the fuck out of Sam Waterston. Otherwise I'm bored to tears. I'll finish it up tonight and hope it picks up. I will say some of the visuals are just beautiful. James
