  1. So, the second half of Blood and Guts shows a drop 17,000 viewers overall while actually adding 23,000 viewers in the main demo, which means 40,000 people outside of the demo tuned out? I'm laughing at the idea of a bunch of parents walking in and seeing Junior watching what they thought was wholesome WWE style sports entertainment and seeing Moxley with a crimson mask lying on a bed of nails and pulling the plug.
  2. I see people saying the props were too much whereas my comment was that the props didn't do much. Both Jacksons bladed randomly during the build to the feud and then can't be arsed for the blowoff?
  3. I'm pretty sure the pre-match video was supposed to be Jack Perry burying the Jungle Boy character, but I think they got the boots wrong?
  4. I still just don't see it with Jack Perry, sorry, and Beethoven's Fifth was really weird. Props to @Matt Dfor being able to succinctly phrase my muddled thoughts about Britt: Britt has made a career off of belittling her opponents, one or two garbage matches, and being the best in the world at looking into the camera. You have to sort of respect it. Lots of people complaining about the women's match being forgotten and then this shitty squash thrown in as an afterthought. They have a good point. The Cole-MJF skit started strong and then got a little hokey and dumb. The backstage with the gifts was good until the weird Roddy Strong segment at the end. The match itself was a ton of fun, definitely not something I want to see every week or become dominant, but something that is currently working well for this team and storyline. Pure late 80s-early 90s WWF schtick. Didn't personally care for the long "stagger and fall into the crotch" spot, felt forced. The rest totally clicked (and excellent form on Max's tope). I do want to point out that using the double clothesline to "finish" someone who has already basically been KO'd is a bit of a heel move, ala MJF beating Darby with a side headlock takeover. Keep them together, but let it be MJF luring Cole back to the dark side and ruining his life. I can agree with and felt all of the compliments and criticisms of Blood and Guts I've read here. It was a little long, very choreographed, really lacked in Blood considering the use of forks, glass, tacks, and nails. I cringed and marked out for every bed of nails spot because that was new to me. The thumbtack rain was a great visual, but led to just one more of the numerous moments of the Elite pulling a Roadrunner on the BCCoyotes. I don't really care for PAC and having him be involved didn't do much other than the double stomp spot. Takeshita didn't get to do much. Ibushi looked bad. Page was mostly just there until the end when he got to hit his lariats and earn his nickname. Yuta was once again the unsung hero of the match. Omega and Mox did most of the hard work. I'm way more of a BCC fan than an Elite fan so ultimately I was let down by the match and the finish.
  5. The story definitely came across to me. The irony, of course, is that it only happened that way because Danielson got hurt and Kingston was booked for G1.
  6. Hard same. He had several bad whiffs then kicked Mox square in the mouth hard with the toes of his boot, definitely knocked out at least one tooth (you can see it lying in the ring at the end of the show). In general, one team did all the work and the other team got the win.
  7. Holy shit I totally forgot about Veteran Presence! Also just fantastic writing from the both of yas
  8. given how much Mario Party cheats, this is a good choice.
  9. Louie Spicolli on Nitro was so great, I remember him when he did the announcing and something along the lines of "I don't know what the name of that move is, but it was awesome" in a very sincere Chris Farley-esque manner that really worked for his character. And then he went and died suddenly from drugs. Has the WCW racing segment had the NWO turn yet? One of the many many awful tie-ins over the decline of the once mighty WCW.
  10. I'm about to be ridiculously house poor so can't make a bet, but would not be the least bit surprised if its Christian helping him win.
  11. I always forward through QTV, can't stand any aspect of it, if anything the fact that she actually has decent flow doesn't fit with what they're trying to do with her in theory.
  12. She actually has a pretty impressive flow considering, if they wanted to go for some Iggy Azalea deal with her (as a heel) it could work. In terms of in-ring, I only recall one match and she was fine. I would not putThe Acclaimed with her, though.
  13. I trashed a couple thousand cards in anticipation of my move, lots of 90s rookies and inserts that are worthless now, some 2000s football cards I got when I briefly caught the bug, and some older stuff that was just beat to hell because I was a kid who liked reading them and wrapping them in rubber bands. Kept maybe 40-50 of favorite players and have a couple hundred to take someplace and hopefully get at least 10% of what they're worth because I can't be bothered to sell on eBay and I sure don't have the money for grading.
  14. Only wish the announcers hadn't missed that Willow responded to Athena's mockery by using one of her moves and her big celebration, minor complaint for an overall great match.
  15. Main event salvaged an otherwise below average Rampage.
  16. Collision was so great, MOTYC tag match and two shocking Owen Cup winners. My wife heard me from the other room when I yelled “holy shit” when Willow won. Battle of the Belts was pretty terrible. The countout finish to the OC-Archer match was different, I’ll give them that. Wasn’t really into the Storm-Valkyrie match before it glitched out. And the TNT title match was trash.
  17. I don't do stars or watch NXT but I thought it was fine, it gets better after the early stretch..
  18. I haven't been keeping up and am waiting until after my move to sign up, but even still I've been wondering about their three main men's belts being on people who are mostly part of the main roster or another promotion. And Athena is also in the women's Owen Hart tournament. I've been wondering whether Tony is going to give up on the experiment since it seems as if they're not getting a streaming deal anytime soon.
  19. Still slowly doing my ECW on Peacock watch, still in the first season (so 1993) when it was Eastern Championship Wrestling. Wanted to watch from the start to see the transition to Extreme, and the past few episodes (leading up to Ultra Clash 93) are clearly part of the shift. Past few episodes were based in-studio with Jay Sulli actually showing some personality and a clearly wasted Eddie Gilbert just riffing, funny stuff and they had a weird chemistry. Anything is better than Steve Wonderful. And then, in the final show before the PPV, Gilbert (and whoever Freddie Gilbert is) are no longer in the PPV or the promotion and the Championship belt has mysteriously gone from Tito Santana to Shane Douglas.
  20. You bring in Nick Wayne against some enhancement talent where he doesn’t get to do the things he can do and people will bitch. Have people totally lost the concept of a solid, competitive loss?
  21. That list is like 90% of wrestling moves.

    THE STRIKE

Seeing that some of the actors walked out in the middle of the Oppenheimer premiere when the strike was officially instituted.
  23. That was a fantastic payoff of long-term storytelling and character building. I was getting very emotional about someone I don't care for at all.
  24. Matt D is right, not for everyone (including me)
  25. Gravediggaz is out of print? Or just vinyl?
