My domination of the Emeritus league continues, while my up-and-down in my pay leagues also rolls along. Think I'll end up 3-3 in all 3. Took a gamble this week and am starting Austin Davis over Foles (from Austin). Nick did his usual 17-point performance, hope I played it right.

I'd like to thank the Texans for letting TY Hilton go off. His point outburst (and damn wish I had that first TD too) *might* help me make up for having to have Bernard Pierce and Roy Helu as my two starting RBs. This is that 14-team league I mentioned with too many bench slots, and I was drafting #11. I missed out on the top RBs, and then forgot it was a 14-team league so I didn't get my almost immediate flip. My best RB is Ryan Matthews, followed by Mark Ingram and Shonn Greene (winning early didn't help me get any waiver wire help either).

Yeah, and they'll definitely want payback for last year's shocking blowout. Whatever, everyone better get their licks in this year.

I'm in a 14-team league with too many bench slots, and the waiver wire is to the point where I think there are only 3-4 RBs on the waiver wire that are projected to score any points at all, and Peyton Hillis is the #1 guy available.

Red River Shootout. I want to believe, but at this point I'm just hoping my team doesn't quit and the offense shows some sign of a pulse.

Fred Jackson is hurt, so now isn't really the time to cut Spiller. Martin hasn't been very effective. It remains to be seen if Oliver is more than a 1 week filler. I can't believe that Brian Quick is still available, you really should pick him up as either your #3 WR over Patterson or as your flex. If you have a back-up TE or D drop them for him IMO.

I've always been one to use a mid-round draft pick for a dominant defense, figuring that the 5-6 ppg difference at that spot was worth more than your #4 WR at that point. But I'm starting to warm to the idea of streamer defenses (already do that with kickers to a degree), especially after getting mad points from the packers last night. Not sure yet if the success rate really carries over from week to week, as many guys are homers with their Ds.

One of the greatest parts of FunFunFun Fest is that they do 4 nights worth of FREE "Nites" shows for passholders. This includes bands already playing the festival, as well as bands brought in just for the Nites and a lot of local bands. It's another reason it's the best fest! I can't imagine wanting to be coked out while working in a toll booth. When I was young, I thought The Barber was cool. Of course, I also hated Greg Valentine. I'm grown up now.

I agree with these two, and definitely felt that way about Dark City over Matrix at the time.
