So 4 months after my dad underwent a stem cell transplant and the doctor told him he would "Never get cancer again"... the cancer is back. And more aggressive. It's in his spine, knees and feet. The doctor he's seeing now is not optimistic about the chances of beating it. I'd like to find that first doctor and cave his fucking face in.

So some of you may remember that my dad had a stem cell transplant back in March to try and knock out the cancer that was in him. Well, it didn't work. Not only is it back but it's in his feet, knees and spine so he can't walk without crutches (which means he can't go back to work). The prognosis is... not a positive one. He's getting some disability pay, but it's not near what his regular salary is. Him and my poor mom are having a really hard time keeping their heads afloat with their finances. He's already drained (yes, drained) his 401K. My sister and I have been trying to help them out when we can, but she has 4 kids and I only make 30 grand a year so neither one of us is exactly loaded. Dad's too damn proud to ask for help (but has always been the first one to volunteer when someone else needed it), so my sister did it for him and started a fundraiser to help them out. I'm not asking everyone who reads this to send a hundered bucks or anything, but if you've got a spare 5 or 10 or 20 it would be greatly appreciated. It's set up to allow anonymous donations, and I'm not even asking anyone to post in here if you donate. If you can't afford anything (which, believe me I totally understand and relate to) maybe at least share the link on your facebook page or something. Any kind of help would be appreciated. I'm kind of feeling the same as Super Ape. I still enjoy a lot of the in ring product that WWE is putting out, but by and large their storylines just aren't doing anything for me. Ambrose vs Rollins was getting me hooked, but I feel like they took a lot of the steam out of it by not having the match. I mean hell it could have ended with Rollins running away and being counted out or something. Now it just seems like it's going to be another month of "Ambrose jumps Rollins in parking lot, Ambrose jumps Rollins in locker room", etc. Steph vs Brie is fun but in a campy sort of way and I doubt it's going to be any good once it finally takes place in the ring. TNA hasn't interested me in months. Until I can be assured that I will not see anyone with the last name Carter on my screen, I watch Impact with the fast forward going. Has there been any word on that AAA/El Rey promotion? Is the idea of it that it would be licha libre but with english commentary?

Season 2 comes out on DVD in late September, so I doubt you'll see it on Netflix before then

My favorite thing about Fallout 3 before the Mothership Zeta DLC changed it was finding the ludicrously overpowered Alien Pistol and using it to turn Deathclaws into piles of ash.

I agree Rock would be eons better as Black Adam, but DC's gonna want to use him in multiple movies. Unless they go the Loki route, and slowly turn Black Adam into a sort-of hero.

I'm betting Truth will feud with Woods, Kofi and Big E so they can have him on TV regularly in a (somewhat) high profile angle when the album comes out.

I dunno, I could see that happening if it were a lesser known actor but Rock's such a beloved megastar I don't think people give a shit who he plays as long as they get to see badass action scenes.

We found a similar rate to CC at The Quad, but she ruled that out right away. She found some promo thing where you can eat twice a day at the buffets at Luxor and Excalibur, so I'm trying to convince her that the $ we would save doing that would make it enough to spend a few bucks more on a room. We're also taking her parents with us as a surprise gift so she doesn't want to spend too much on rooms, since we're paying for their room too.
