MAY 2021 Discussion of Wrestling.
Happ Hazzard replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Vince was a great announcer back in the 70s and 80s. And even in the 90s he was still better than anyone today. The announcing and overall production is the one thing about WWE that has inarguably regressed the most in the last 20 years. It's utterly, utterly awful and would make the shows very difficult to watch even if the wrestling was good. -

This picture jogged my memory of rumours of a proposed Jackie Chan vs Ernest Miller match in WCW, IIRC at Halloween Havoc 98. -
I can't see what their argument is. The National League doesn't have relegation because the leagues below that abandoned their seasons fairly early on. League Two and the National League are both playing full seasons so there's no reason not to have teams go up and down. Dover deserve to be relegated from the National League but they'll just get a large points deduction next season instead which will probably doom them to relegation. Also, Fulham are soon to be no longer "All Elite". They're 2-0 down to Burnley at half-time in a game where a loss relegates them.

They used one at WM17 when Undertaker threw HHH off a scaffold. The bump looked great when it happened but then for some reason they showed a replay that showed the crash pad. I'm sure they edited it off the DVD release/network version though. -

They should have put the NWA Jr. Heavyweight championship on Mike Jackson. -

Yeah I realised afterwards it was just an angle because Lance Storm co-hosted for one show. -

What's this about Mike Sempervive being suspended from F4W? Is it just an angle or did something happen? -

They could allow some of the beaten quarter finalists to take the places of the banned clubs.
-
Why don't they kick the guilty clubs out of this years UEFA competitions? So Europa league final is Roma vs Villareal and Champions league winners are PSG, no need for a final.

2021 Post-Mania WWE Purge
Happ Hazzard replied to ChesterCopperpot's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I don't have a problem with WWE cutting guys, they should cut a lot more, and more often. The roster is so stagnant it's unbelievable. Every WrestleMania for the last 15 years is largely indistinguishable from the last, they just shuffle the same guys around. If you look at the roster changes between WM1 and WM5, and any 5 years for any of the first 20 years of the expansion era, not just the roster was greatly different, but the whole feel of the promotion was completely different, night and day. It would be to everyones benefit if they cut 25% of the roster every year and anyone that had been there for more than 7 years got automatically cut, with the proviso that they can be re-hired after spending 2 years elsewhere. -

They might as well just rename all PPV events to "WrestleMania" now and just keep using the numbering, so WrestleMania 38 next month, WrestleMania 39 the month after etc. Before long they'll get to WM50 and they can make a big deal of it. -

I'm not saying you're wrong, but Hoffman doesn't have an arm tattoo in any picture I can find of him.
