  1. Has TK said when he's dropping this latest announcement or was it just a "I'm working on something big" thing?
  2. After Suicide Squad, I thought I’d like a Peacemaker series. I did not expect to love it like I did. Definitely one of the most purely-enjoyable things I’ve watched in a while.
  3. So, is Cody definitely signing with WWE? Has he already signed?
  4. My brain just won't accept Pittsburg and purple and orange.
  5. As someone who was a skinny fat kid that grew into a sweet-ass dad bod, yes. That is correct.
  6. You call your buddy. "Hey, I got tickets to Dynamite in February!" "Oh, nice! Where are the seats?" "Right across from the hard camera. We should make some signs." "Oh, definitely." Ok, great. Makes sense. But then, after having a couple months to come up with some funny/witty/cool/whatever signs, you show up with "Bryan Danielson Cries at the end of Old Yeller" and "Adam Cole has a Dad Bod". That's what you come up with. You think of these sentences in your head. You take the time to make the signs. You lug those signs with you all the way to the show and into the arena and to your seats. You hold those signs over your head the WHOLE DAMN SHOW. You really think you've shown the audience in the arena and those watching at home what a witty person you are. Jesus. That's just fucking sad. I went from being pissed at this distracting asshole to just being sad for them. However, the "A Winner is You" sign was genius. Love it. And the person who brought it had enough sense to only hold it up after someone won a match. Bravo. I'm sorry, but of course Danielson cries at the end of Old Yeller! What kind of heartless psycho doesn't? And that's not a "dad bod" on Cole. Do you even know what a dad bod is? Is it just a term you heard and thought it was a general insult. Oh, goddammit! Why have I given this so much thought and energy. Now I'm mad at me. Anyway, this was a great show. I need to go back and watch the TNT title match. I was distracted by my kids during it. Danielson/Moriarty was a match I wanted to see as soon as Bryan was signed. It's going to do those young guys so much good getting to be in the ring with him and picking his brain backstage.
  7. Cody must’ve got the middle entrance in the divorce.
  8. I'd be lying to myself if I didn't admit that I love the backstage drama as much as (hell, maybe more than!) the stuff I actually see on tv when it comes to pro wrestling.

    2022 NFL OFFSEASON

My wife and I always laugh because her parents (both in their mid-70's) just can't comprehend that there may be pop culture that they're not up on. For some reason, Woodley and Rodgers dating came up in conversation. When my wife said Woodley's name, my mother-in-law angrily exclaimed, "WHOEVER SHE IS!" So now, every time we see anything about her, we yell out "WHOEVER SHE IS!"
  10. I think Howard is actually in the big Endgame battle too.
  11. Honestly, is anyone other than @John from Cincinnatituning in to AEW to see Cody or Brandi at this point? Is there anything to show that their reality show drew any new viewers?
  12. I do have to say that it is fun (IMO) that we really don't know if this is a work or not.
  13. I can’t wait to see all the cool things Brandi and Cody will do in WWE!
  14. Who is that with Brad Armstrong? Halme? Ah, never mind. Looked it up. It's Sean Royal.
  15. I do like it when a title has its own set of rules. Something like ROH’s pure title or the early iteration of the tv title where it was a 10 minute time limit.
  16. I love how the Apter mags had certain things they just wouldn't play along with. I just want to know how it came down to taking an editorial stand on Warrior being from Queens?
  17. You touched on a good point here. The issue is, that most of the people doing these gimmicks, don't wrestle appropriately for them. You can't come out looking all scary and then throw light-looking strikes and a bunch of cooperative spots. If you're gonna look unhinged, wrestle that way. That's my biggest issue with Abadon in particular. She just doesn't seem like a threat in the ring. I mean, between the ropes, I'm going to be way more scared of Emi in her frilly purple outfit beating my ass than the girl with the demon face paint. I know Abadon is fairly new to wrestling, so there's still plenty of time for her to get there. I think (hope) that AEW is smart enough to present all of these people as "dangerous wrestlers employing mind games" and that's cool. I just don't want to see Adam Page crying in a corner if Bray comes to work for them.
  18. Wasn't Anvil always announced as being from Las Vegas? Didn't he play for the Raiders? Kinda funny they're there now.
  19. The real question is, how big is @just drew?
  20. I love my ridiculousness in wrestling as much as the next guy, but I'm over "spooky" gimmicks. I especially think they hurt the opponent when they're a champ. Seth Rollins and Shida were both high-profile wrestlers who had to act scared of an opponent because they dressed spooky. You're a trained fighter and an adult. That's a person in makeup or a mask, you know this. Just fight them.
  21. Didn't Hangman win a ladder cluster match to get his shot against Omega? I know that's a little different because it was a "back door" way for him to get a shot after losing that elimination tag.
  22. I should preface any "advice" I give on here as being severely un-educated. I'm just sharing what has worked for me. I only say that because I don't want anyone thinking that I believe myself to be some kind of expert in the least when it comes to lifting. Anyway, aren't back issues fun?!?! Even on the chance that you get "better", the prospect of doing something to screw it all up is always there in the back of your mind.
  23. Fans with "gimmicks" is my least favorite thing in pro wresting right now. Anyhoo, man, what a fun show! My son totally lost his shit when Lee yeeted Cassidy across the ring. That's the kind of thing that sticks in a kid's mind. He won't forget that any time soon. I am shocked in that I thought the Inner Circle segment was really strong. I can't remember the last time a group breaking up wasn't just one (or two) of them suddenly jumping the others. It's actually good storytelling that PnP would lay out their issues to Jericho and not just attack him out of nowhere. IC is supposed to be "family", so they at least tried to talk it out. Who knows, maybe I just liked that they didn't really let Jericho talk?
