I loved it when matches from Toronto would show up on Prime Time because of that ramp. I fashioned my own out of a shoe box to use with my LJN toy ring.

Roux Rollins? Is it pronounced Row? Row Rollins?

ROH Will 2020 be the last Ring of Honor Thread...

Hold up. Are you telling me that ROH, born and raised in Philadelphia, has moved to Bel Air after their life got flipped-turned upside down (by Covid)? -
Hulk's so full of shit. Doesn't he remember when Taker broke his neck in the 70's?

One of the worst offenses of modern WWE is making every wrestler think they have to have some stupid-ass hard cam pose.

Help me out. Who’s the fanny pack guy? Perfect?

Was there any sort of tease before the Undertaker’s debut or was it just DiBiase having a mystery partner on his team and that was it?

Eddie was great early, but those last few years was when he put it all together and became one of the best ever. So, no. It's not sacrilege in my opinion.

Agreed. It’s weird how WWE has made all of their announcers, male and female, sound the same. I also can’t stand Justin Roberts in AEW. H has that same WWE style. It’s be better if they found their own “voice”.

Listen, I love Leonard Cohen, but can we fucking stop with using “Hallelujah” in movies?

I don’t know if this is any indication, but my three-year-old will devour any SW content you put in front of him. I was trying to find something for him to watch and when I suggested Resistance (he had watched a few episodes), he said, “No. I don’t like that one.”

Braddock was good in OVW. He went by his real name, Michael Hayes, there. He's changed it for obvious reasons. When he was just starting out, I shot and edited a news story on him. I was a news photographer for 15 years, and this was my personal favorite story I ever did: I'm not positive, but I think the match in this story was his first match in front of a crowd. In the times I've seen him after doing this story, he's always been really cool to me. I watched that PPW show. I think he did great. I'm hoping that gets him some more exposure and more opportunities.

I wince thinking about the gimmicks Vince would come up with for a guy named Willie Peeters.

Word. I'd rather fight a dude that looks like Brian Cage than a dude that looks like Eddie Kingston any day.

And Brian Cage agreed with the post.

I totally forgot that Miro had his first singles match this week. That's telling. He was a guy that I was really excited to see "let loose" without the constraints of WWE on him. So far, it seems like he might be someone that's better off being told what to do. His gimmick is just so muddled. Call me old fashioned, but I can't buy a gamer as a legit threat. It's early with him, so they have time to course-correct, but I'm not digging him so far.

If I get Eddie Kingston holding the world title of a major company, I'll take back all the bad things I said about 2020. There were so many things I loved about that segment. I loved that they didn't just do "your turn/my turn". King was interrupting Moxley until he got too pissed to talk. I also loved him just walking away because he knew he couldn't contain himself if he stayed. The PPV is actually looking pretty stacked. Mox/Kingston, obviously, but the tag title match, Omega/Page and Cody/Darby all have potential to be show-stealers too. They also all have the potential to be very different kinds of matches, which is nice. Some other random thoughts: Nyla needs to work on her striking. That punch to Shida to save Vicki was feather-light. I'm interested to see where they go with Pac. Seems like he may go after Kingston and his group since the Lucha Bros left him. The beginning of his vignette had the audio clip of Kingston asking "Where's your little British friend?" Say what you will about Billy Gunn as a wrestler, but he is a very handsome man. His son, not so much. MJF needs to work on coming off as dangerous. He tells Jericho that he'll show him how vicious he can be, and then doesn't do that at all in his match. I've heard people say before that he needs to pick Tully's brain backstage. That's true. He needs to find that Blanchard thing of being the asshole heel, but still showing that you can bring it in the ring when you need to.

Yes. Both as a worker and as a horrible human being.

Ive had a good time at all do the shows I’ve gone to. When I was 9 or 10, I went to a marathon Superstars taping. It was cool, though. It was the taping that started the angle with Rude trying to kiss Jake the Snake’s wife. I went to Survivor Series 98. That wasn’t a great show, but my friends and I were so drunk, it ended up being fun for us. I did go to a couple Nitros that weren’t great. Not good or bad enough to be memorable.

Stevie headed up his own faction in WWE (Right to Censor). They were actually pretty heavily featured. At least they were featured enough that a group of my friends were them for Halloween one year.

It's tough to do a good invation angle nowadays. Not that WWE could under any circumstances. People forget that the initial appeal of the nWo was that fans really bought the idea (at least at first) that it was WWF actually invading.

Oh shit! I went to this show. I drove over three hours to Louisville to see it. I’d never been there before. Seven years later, I’d move there and I’ve been there since.

I don't know, man. The dude down at my local coffee shop has had some pretty great matches.
