Craig H
The show is so much more awesome when there are more comedic elements used. Sutter tries to be a hard ass 24/7 when he actually excels at writing very funny scenes among all the bleakness. The show fails when it goes super serious. And I don't know how they pulled it off, but I went from cracking up when you know who showed back up again, to tearing up and almost crying, to nearly cracking up again when Jemma has the way awkward look. Walton Goggins is so fucking good.
Hollinger.
Last night was by far the best of the season so far. Finally feels like SOA.
stiffshots
Bobby as the moral core of SAMCRO has been absent for far too long. Welcome back, Mr. Munson. And welcome back, too, Ms. Venus Van Dam, whose sudden appearance was once again a "holy shit" moment of the best kind.
Craig H
Am I weird or wrong for actually being moved for Walton Goggins scene? I thought he turned it from something silly to something kinda real and touching.

I thought he turned it from something silly to something kinda real and touching. I agree, but that's why I didn't like Jemma's eyeroll at the end. I thought they did a good job of having a trans person who starts as a joke but becomes a real person during the scene. The last shot went back to "No, don't worry; we're still laughing at the stupid tranny!".
LethalStriker
Last night I got a Walton Goggins guest appearance on SOA and a Dean Winters appearance on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, all in all a good night of TV guest appearances.
E.J.
Juice going badass feels wrong, like Miz having the figure-four wrong. But they're setting up something with him.
Craig H
Jax going about .8 on the Meng Savage scale was awesome, though. Juicy is just learning from the best. At some point, as much as I like Chibbs, there needs to be a round 2 between Juice and Chibbs.
Hollinger.
Well, Bobby just brought back some bodies for the table. I'm guessing that means Juice isn't long for the world. The rat was only alive out of necessity.
Ultimo Necro
Popped hard for Venus Van Damme, probably a poor choice of phrase. Probably the best ep this season and felt like SoA of old. Now just get Clay loose and we will be good to go!
driver
Pretty sure they will try and work in the guards trying to get all rapey on Clay and shit.
Curt McGirt
I missed the last one but this one was a damn good ep. Goggins' Venus indeed got a proper inject of humanity and it's great to know she isn't a punchline anymore if she's gonna be on more often. Of course this lead to more wild chases and dead bodies that nobody seems to see/report/find, but what else is new. Tara's trump card was great but I can see it blowing up in her face later. And hey, they saved the table! Also, that was a really moving song at the end. Sutter knows how to pick his music when it's necessary.
ivpvideos
Tara is such a dick in all this. They are all terrible people. All except Venus, she is the best.
E.J.
Was that really 6 minutes worth of montage?
tigertooth
Also, that was a really moving song at the end. Sutter knows how to pick his music when it's necessary. The song at the end of this episode was fine, but generally I think this show has the absolute worst music. Case in point: the song at the beginning of this episode. Nice to see Ruthie from Carnivale as Venus' mom.
Execproducer
That whole scene I'm like "No Jax, you aren't going to do it, right?" Then he starts to puff up and I'm like "Slow down, Bro!! That don't make any sense!!!"! And then he kills her and confirms that he is the most arbitrary homicidal maniac of all time. Hopefully Tara is the Jesse Pinkman of this crazy ass show and has a relatively happy ending.
Hollinger.
I don't know about that. Listen to Barbeau's rant again. The argument she gives as to why Venus can't raise the kid is the same argument Jax has been having with himself about his kids and about his own father for six years. He was essentially shooting his own conscience.
LethalStriker
I would think this is the last we see of Venus for awhile. Goggins probably would have to start filming Justified around the time this episode of SOA got done filming.
Curt McGirt
Jax killer her because of the similarity to his own story as a child, and she deserved to die anyway because she was a fucking CHILD PORNOGRAPHER. And thank you to Hollenger for realizing that was the great Adrienne Barbeau.
Ultimo Necro
Tig's puppydog eyes at Venus made that episode.
HumanChessgame
Decent episode but suffered from a lack of Clay. It looks like after everything that went down with Gemma Nero is going to turn on the club (even though there's ample evidence Toric was setting him up). Are he and Clay in the same prison? I'm wondering if this season ends with Clay or the club killing him. Robocop's character tends to be a great addition. I'm interested to see how he continues to play into things. After last night it looks like he's more firmly on the club's side.
tigertooth
I'm just hoping this ends with Robocop and Jax opening a chain of cookie and ice cream shops. Sons of Confectionery
glfpunk
The Nero in jail storyline seems like it will be a waste of time. They have the murder weapon and way more evidence against Toric than some lame DNA in Nero's truck.
GuerrillaMonsoon
I wonder what order they'd bat in if the Sons of Anarchy fielded a cricket XI?Jax and Bobby open the batting? Chibbs at first drop, Tig kinda reminds me of Mark Waugh so he'd be 4, Happy at 5, Juice at 6, that Rat Boy at 7, Clay at 8, Jimmy Smits at 9, that old bloke who used to be sheriff at 10, and then either the guy with no hands or one of the hookers at 11?Fuck Im glad that fat **** with the glasses got shot. I wouldn't play him at all. He looks like a right fat ****.

They have the murder weapon and way more evidence against Toric than some lame DNA in Nero's truck. Not sure I follow. I think the deal is Pounder knows it was Toric, not Nero, but she's using what Toric gave them (DNA) to put pressure on Nero to turn him on the Sons. She knows the case will fall apart eventually, but before it does, she wants to get Nero to rat. Also, as somebody else said, it's possible that Nero and Clay will cross paths in jail, so that might be interesting. Maybe Clay tells Nero about the rapey guards and what they did to Gemma...
