  1. Huh. Weird. I wonder what happened. Usually they had the surprise runin at the end, which led to a match the next week, and then they were gone. He came in after the main event with Ron Killings on the 3/26/03 show and gave Christopher Daniels the Viscera Driver. On the next show, Viscera came out in Killings match against Elix Skipper and did the same to Skipper, but then Killings didn't wrestle the next few weeks and had a newish storyline when he came back (forming 3 LIve Kru) so they probably just decided to stop using him because of that.
  2. I agree, I couldn't ever justify those types of bars because I eat "easy to grab" snack food way too fast and it gets expensive. I can't keep that stuff in my house or I go through it like a tornado.
  3. Actually in terms of what was available I think they did the best they could. The obvious best solution would be to not try to run Sumo Hall, but if they are going to, they need help. They can't run Funaki/Takayama and KAI/Sanada for the sixth time. So of the promotions that could help (excluding WWE since they wouldn't), the best option would be New Japan. But after that... who draws in Japan better than W-1 is? Dragon Gate? That would have been neat. But after that they may as well have TNA as they are no worse than NOAH or All Japan in terms of interest. TNA's general dysfunction really has nothing to do with their match quality, and 1.5 million people do watch them every week which is better than most promotions in the world can say. Yes they offer lots of WTF stories for the IWC and their booking is suspect at best, but in the past no matter the booking they always had quality wrestlers here and there. The real problem here is that TNA currently doesn't really have any stars known to fans of wrestling in Japan. If they could have had Angle, Sting, and Styles all in big matches I think that would have helped the draw. Not tremendously, don't get me wrong, but at least those are names that fans in Japan would know and probably seen wrestle at some point. But the crew going to Japan, it is quite possible that they are all virtual unknowns. I still think it will help since promotion vs. promotion is a concept that still seems to help in Japan, but if this event had happened a year ago it would have had more potential.
  4. The first Sumo Hall event of the year for any promotion in Japan. In an attempt to not make the event a total disaster, WRESTLE-1 has teamed up with TNA wrestling to put on a joint show. I don't know if that will drastically help the attendance but it sure as hell won't hurt. Here is the card as announced so far (will be edited as needed): WRESTLE-1 Outbreak March 2nd, 2014 Sumo Hall Announced Attendance: 5,800 fans 1. 5. I have a bunch of bison meat coming in today, I like red meat a few times a week (chicken the other days) but was trying to find something healthier. Anyone ever cooked with it before? I have heard it has to be cooked on a lower temperature and watched closely since it cooks quicker than cow beef. My current plan is just to cook 4 oz of it and plop a poached egg on top, I try to save my bread intake for the day for hummus toast. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. My go-to meal this month has been salad with chicken tenderloins cut up into it, but with a slight twist. Before I cook the chicken I do a dry rub of berbere spice, so when I mix the chicken with the romaine lettuce and light olive oil dressing, it makes the whole salad slightly spicy and gives the whole dish a good kick. The whole thing is right at 200 calories and is quite tasty, that with a piece of toast with hummus just about fills me up for lunch. Amazon sells quest bars if there aren't any GNC nearby.
  6. I added a Mega version to, in case it was just mediafire acting funny.
  7. Hell no I didn't get to that. I play a video game until it goes from being fun to being a chore. Then I find something else to play That game crossed that line at some point around World Mushroom.
  8. Hmm works for me, anyone else having issues? Do the other ones work? I didn't re-encode them so I dunno how they were originally made, I just always use VLC since it plays everything. If it is a issue with the file type I can try to convert it to a different file type.
  9. I guess I better start doing some research, good thing I have a month
  10. Well Muta would win that easily, he doesn't have anything left in either of his knees to blow out. I think Angle only has one bad knee.
  11. I've never played Fantasy Baseball before but I have played Fantasy Football for about a decade and of course I follow baseball. I'd have to do some extra research but if there is still a spot open I'd like one.
  12. Since I nominated one of the matches on this event I reckoned I should probably upload it so other people could watch it too. NOAH "Monday NOAH" February 3rd, 2014 Tokyo, Japan 1. Daisuke Harada vs. Hitoshi Kumano 2. Genba Hirayanagi vs. Mitsuhiro Kitamiya 3. Hajime Ohara vs. Yoshinari Ogawa 4. Taiji Ishimori vs. Xtra Large 5. Jonah Rock vs. Shinya Ishikawa 6. Naomichi Marufuji vs. Ryuichi Kawakami 7. Mikey Nicholls vs. Mohammed Yone 8. Atsushi Kotoge vs. Takashi Sugiura 9. Katsuhiko Nakajima vs. Kenou 10. Shane Haste vs. Takeshi Morishima 11. KENTA vs. Maybach Taniguchi OR Mega Upload
  13. NOMINATE: Atsushi Kotoge vs. Takashi Sugiura, February 3rd When I skimmed the matches on this card I didn't see any that stuck out at me as potential must-see matches. I figured this would just be a 'welcome back' demolish job by Sugiura. I was incorrect. This was Sugiura’s first match in about six weeks after suffering an injury. Maybe that is why he was so angry. This was a really good match from start to finish, Kotoge has a lot of fire and got in a lot of offense but Sugiura was just too much for him, and he was not gentle with the elbow smashes. Lots of hard hits on both sides here and there was never a dull moment, it was action from start to finish. It wouldn't finish in anyone's MOTY lists I think mostly because it was a mid-card match, but add a few minutes and slap it in the main event and I bet it would have gotten more notice.
  14. Love the three Braves signings this year. I am resigned to the fact we are losing Kimbrel in the next couple years which I don't have a real issue with (since most closers fall of a cliff suddenly and generally aren't worth long term deals worth 9+ mil a year), but the deals they did do all seem smart.
  15. I just got done reviewing this event for my site, but to summarize: Ishii/Okabayashi is great, everything else I'd only recommend if you see a wrestler in it you already enjoy anyway. Some of the other matches were solid but I wouldn't consider them must-see. But do watch the Ishii/Okabayashi match.
  16. NOMINATE: Tomohiro Ishii vs. Yuji Okabayashi, Legend Pro on 1/13/14 This probably won't surprise anyone, but this was a man-sized match. What I really like about matches like this is they make every move look meaningful. Since they both wrestle like powerhouses, even a suplex or a powerslam is made to look like a big deal, and nothing is a throw-away spot. Also there was no overkill, Ishii weakened Okabayashi, hit the brainbuster and it was over. They also only really had one "rest hold" in the match, which I define as just a move to kill time and catch a breather, otherwise they were just throwing elbows and chops at each other while mixing in various power moves. I knew going into this match I would like it since I enjoy both wrestlers, and they did not disappoint, I wish Okabayashi was in a promotion that made TV more as I really enjoy his work. The only negative I can really think of is the chop battle at the beginning went longer than I'd prefer, but otherwise just a great hoss match.
  17. Nice of him to put over the little guy on his way out. Shame he won't get an 'official' retirement match since I think he has had the type of career to earn it. He was never my favorite but he was usually really solid and he had some great matches over the years.
  18. This is very similar to what I plan on starting soon. I wanted to get my cardio up first since I was out of shape so I decided to do the C25K before I started with the P90 (and then ideally going to P90X) and I already ordered DDP Yoga. I am on Week 5, Day 3 of C2K so I think that puts it right around March 1st I will be done. I already have my eating right (we talked about it a lot on the old board but I am a big fan of myfitnesspal.com and I also use a fitbit) and between just eating right and running I have lost 15 pounds in the last month. But I am looking forward to starting P90 and DDP Yoga to further me along, currently I am my lowest weight since 2003 but I still have about 25 pounds to go.
  19. I guess this event was taped after all 1. Mitsuya Nagai, Bear Fukuda, and Taro Kurashima vs. Alexander Otsuka, Super Tiger II, and Hayato Mashita 2. El Solar and Gran Hamada vs. NOSAWA Rongai and MAZADA 3. Akitoshi Saito vs. Daisuke Sekimoto 4. Hiro Saito and AKIRA vs. Manabu Nakanishi and Jushin Thunder Liger 5. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Yuji Okabayashi 6. Legend 40th Anniversary ~ Dream: Riki Choshu and Yukio Sakaguchi vs. Tatsumi Fujinami and LEONA The first match has some stuttering sound issues (it also loses the video for about a minute) but the rest looked like they were ok.
  20. I updated the title so y'all don't have to use those silly spoiler tags
  21. Generally anytime Ditch requests something I go out of my way to find it since I have downloaded so many matches off his website(s) over the years. (CHAMPION) Shuji Kondo vs. Kaz Hayashi for the All Japan Jr. Heavyweight Championship Date: August 27th, 2006 Event: All Japan Pro-Wrestling Love in Ryogoku Reason: All Japan Jr. Heavyweight Championship Link: Download Here Size: 378 MB My thoughts of the match at the time: And stolen without permission, Mike Campbell's thoughts of the match at the time just to give a different perspective:
  22. Women's ski slopestyle was shockingly sloppy. I say shockingly since it is the Olympics and all. I haven't read this thread enough to see if it is spoiler free, I'll just say at least 30% of the runs ended with someone falling/crashing/failing in some fashion.
  23. If you put Keiji Mutoh in, I promise I will participate in the tournament. I may also create a few socko accounts.
  24. If you were looking for full shows that may contain multiple big matches, for many years their 5/5 shows were their big yearly events. Kinda like their WrestleMania. You can see the full cards here, some of the matches on these shows of course also line up with BAHU's top matches list.
