  1. Did we ever get a full list or was it just the usual standbys?
  2. This would explain why they dropped the Show/Henry tag team SUPER quickly.
  3. Oscar was still around in 95? I thought MOM turned heel late 94.
  4. He did it with Johnny Ace and Cena already, why not again?
  5. Gordman this time coming from regular Mexico. Also, this video shows three reasons why I love watching tapes from 1970's WWF: 1) That classy ring color scheme, dark blue with silver ropes and posts (not a fan of the red middle turnbuckle, though) 2) Vince shilling non-wrestling things, in this case a BOWLING tournament 3) That the audience is a mix of blue collar workers, kids, and pimps with their women
  6. That's the one. It was during that brief period that the E was putting out strange budget DVD releases. That one and "The Best of The Intercontinental Championship" (a.k.a. Shawn Micheals wrestles everyone during 1992-1993) DVD were both sold for about 9 bucks retail.
  7. "You see these Tennessee women around here? What do you think about them?" (camera cuts to crowd of children and men) Edit: That's gotta be one of the ugliest rings I've ever seen.
  8. May be a simple one, but what was the legit reason Savage no-showed the 1991 Royal Rumble match?
  9. That was Roy Shire's territory, right? When did he go out of business? The only reason I'm bringing it up is because on the WWF Andre The Giant VHS/DVD released around 1984, they feature an Andre vs. Gordman/Goliath match that is clearly from the Olympic. I'm wondering how Vince managed to get a tape from that territory for use on one of his tapes if it was still in business.... Also I love how Ric Flair mentioned that Gordman and Goliath were always late for things because they were too busy going out with hookers.
  10. I seriously thought when he was US Champ that he was going to toss it out and bring back the European Title. It would have made sense, as he was still in his "Europe is better then all of you" stage.
  11. That belt is WAY cooler than anything else from Hogan's run. I've never seen it before and my memory is borderline insane when it comes to stuff like that... Me too, brother...and I HAVE NEVER seen that belt before. That match looks to have taken place in late 86, early 87...maybe to coincide with Andre getting a new belt made as well, I guess they temporarily were adamant about getting a new belt made to replace the Hogan '86 belt? Whatever reason, they went back to the Hogan '86 and kept it until the Main Event 1988 in February when it was replaced by the classic Winged Eagle version. I would imagine this has gotta be a prototype of the pre-WM 3 belt, side plates are similar. The belt in question has been verified as being worn by Hulk at least two times in 1986, both against Paul Orndorff, but it's story is still greatly unknown. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RR89rRLzYz4
  12. "Engerland" wasn't terrible but I thought his theme before that was pretty solid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6HC3nHclY4 Both of those are great but I still prefer the one he used right before joining up with Swagger and Coulter.
  13. In other news, we got a Yoshi Tatsu sighting, as apparently he's taken Alex Riley's old job of "wrestler you see backstage randomly".
  14. Re: Undertaker/Shinzaki match - Is that Bruce Pritchard as Undertaker's second?
  15. Now that you mentioned the seats, and I had a look at the green/yellow/white color scheme, I think it may be the Met Center in Bloomington, Minnesota. The time frame is right, and the color scheme matches the one they had for the North Stars. I've also seen that same area used in WWF segments (namely the one where Hulk trains Mean Gene and they run up the steps.)
  16. Oh wow, there are so many to choose from....a few recent ones: KING BOOKAH Commentator CM Punk (a.k.a. Men's Wharehouse CM Punk) "Dashing" Cody Rhodes (mainly for the theme song and promos on beauty tips) Phantom of the Opera Cody Rhodes (that version of his theme song was just so much better) Winking ADR Racist Big Show David Otunga, Attorney At Law Sexy Repairman Dolph Crazy R-Truth
  17. What promotion is that from? The ropes and turnbuckles look WWF, but the ring apron is black.
  18. I thought this was going to be a thread about old wrestling sets for television. I got ready to hear people demand they bring back the Smackdown fist.
