  1. I figured I'll take full advantage of the ten bucks I spent on Honor Club and started watching Supercard of Honor 2022 last night. I got around the ending of the Interim Women's Title match, but just wanted to say that my life is now complete after witnessing a poison rana off the ring apron to the floor, courtesy of Alex(?) Zayne and Swerve in the opener! FTR vs Briscoes I is next!
  2. I second that. I wear bandana most of time, even outside the gym and I'm not even hiding a skullet!
  3. So, obviously that would eliminate The Rock n' Roll Express from the equation.
  4. The 4th episode of ROH was crazy! Briscoe vs Nese was good, the six man was ok, Taven vs Darius nice but then Skye Blue vs Lady Frost kicked all kinds of ass, Silas Young vs Shane Taylor too, Starkz vs Alize was surprising and the Aussie Open vs Daniels & Sydal was phenomenal! Ok, the main event ended up being a squash, but it heated up Joe vs Briscoe. And there was the sit down with Kingston and Claudio. Eddie don't dare to lose this one after the brow-beating he got from Castignoli here!
  5. Probably true for me as well. I mean I took 6 months off from watching wrestling all together in 2007 when that one slightly uncomfortable thing that has happened in the business happened, but even then I was reading about wrestling pretty much every day. Also, these days my chances of watching wrestling are severely limited even though the available material exceeds my wildest dreams. Still, there's always enough time to read through the Discussion threads.
  6. I've always liked the 2nd ladder match more than the first, even with the slightly botched ending and other problems you mentioned. Then again, I like the SummerSlam'92 match with Warrior and Savage way more than I do the Wrestlemania VII, only difference being the post-match angle being awesome at WM VII and quite shitty at SS'92. I'm sure there are other similar instances, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
  7. Ok, from zero workouts last week to five this week. Nothing too intense, but getting a good pump going nonetheless. Trapbar on Thursday wasn't spectacular. Topped out at 617 for one rep off the platforms, then failed several attempts at heavier weights. Got frustrated and used the double height platforms for 662 and with rest-pause, I did 5 reps. But yeah, even I must admit that with platforms that high, it's not to be considered any kind of a lift. I did 3 fast reps with 572 from the same height and decided to stop there. Earlier I got two reps with 479 without Versas, but even that isn't as good as a few weeks back. The snow has been kicking my ass two ways, from biking and from plowing it, next week, same shit. My recovery has been far from optimal, but my belated winter break is looming ahead in a few weeks' time and there's Easter a week before that, so maybe then I get some proper rest?
  8. Wow! Worth it! Seeing OC get in the mood and put that much effort into his face paint was quite surprising. Entertaining stuff in the opener. I wonder who will challenge OC next? What was that thing about hotels on QTV? I have a feeling I missed a really good inside joke there. Hobbs vs Penta is natural progression. The FTR career stipulation is a very good way to build suspense. Are they leaving or staying? You'll know after that match. Stokley trying to get out of the match with not only a shitty doctor's note but also attempting to retire right then and there was spectacular. He did better for himself than I expected, but he's dead now. The Young Bucks attacked by BCC smells fishy, but them attacking Omega after the match did point into that direction. Red herring all the same? Find out in a few weeks, I guess? Ok, Adam Cole is back and that's nice. Garcia being the first opponent makes sense, but the way some people feel about Cole is pretty much how I feel about Garcia, and I'm not talking about how DEAN feel about Cole, either. Toni and Skye Blue ended up having quite the competitive match there! Nowhere near a squash. I definitely second @The Idiot King 's love for Skye Blue's growth, but it seems so sudden that I'm a bit iffy on the part about it being natural. Also, I'm not 100% sure if we are talking about the same thing here? Apart from a few clips this was the first Vikingo match I've seen and yeah, that's the stuff right there. My bold prediction of high spots came true. Don Callis just can't not stirr shit, now can he?
  9. Chris Hyatte has left this mortal coil, but Keith is still among us.
  10. Considering Cena does have a special relationship with the US Title, you'd certainly think it would be. The Open Challenge-era was awesome!
  11. They definitely have more of a WCW Saturday Night feel to them. What I would like more is matches with the end result more in doubt, though. I guess it would mean more young people on the same level facing each other, star vs star doesn't seem to happen there very often. Actual WCW Saturday Night-level main events would also do wonders.
  12. So glad to see a bit more of Silas Young! Him vs Shane Taylor should be pretty badass!
  13. Technically, the bar should be higher on this one, since the other thread only had the "not recent" qualifyer, while this should have "hard to find" or "forgotten classic", right? How it plays out, however, is anyone's guess.
  14. There's also the hard foam roller that is ribbed, certainly NOT for my pleasure, but it gets the job done! You're welcome for that image as well!
  15. Yeah, the black rubber ball to lay on top of and squirm. Glutes and lower back is where I use that one and quads ever so often, but that's probably the most painful area to work on. I usually break into a cold sweat when I'm doing that, but that may be due to the circulation as well, not just the pain.
  16. Yeah. Me, for instance have no idea what my protein intake is these days. I know it is A LOT, but also way less than it used to be. These days whenever I gain any significant weight, it all goes to my gut anyway and most times, gaining any weight above 185 lbs or so is very difficult, certainly in a way that would look good. But still, counting calories etc is not worth the effort at this point, since it won't yield reasonable results. When I need to get more ripped, I know what to do at this point and nothing I do will get me any bigger.
  17. As said above, sleeping and proper nutrition are key elements to recovery. If possible, try to stay limber, as in a little bit of active stretching each day. Also, make sure your magnesium, zinc and potassium intake is somewhere within the normal range and adjust accordingly. Muscle soreness will ease up once you get into the routine, that shouldn't be a problem if you just hang in there. However, that's still something that is very much part of the physical excercise. If for some reason I have to take more than a week off from working out, my muscles will be sore for at least two days whenever I start again. That hasn't gone away ever after a decade of doing this. So yeah, no workouts at all last week, just the bike rides. Yesterday, it was back into the grind with all around upper body workout, I'll go and see what I can do today in a few minutes.
  18. I was going to mention those head-drops, but I couldn't think of anything funny or constructive to say, so I opted not to. Maybe I should have said that those suplexes were the reason they can't pull off their dance moves anymore?
  19. Yikes, looking at the thumbnail (and some previous thumbnail a good while back) is EC3 having Paul Orndorff-like nerve issues on the right side of his upper body?
  20. Big win for Hobbs. It's not that long ago he would have never beaten Fenix one on one. I guess the Book (and TV helped)? I guess Marshall has something to do with it, maybe? Taya looks good. It's kinda weird to see her smile a lot, because Frankie Monet was mostly smirking. JAS.0 wins and it looks like Bollywood Boys' dance move(s) have actually regressed from 205 Live days. Their wrestling couldn't have regressed all that much, to be honest. That was like Garcia's third biggest win ever, or tied fourth with one of the Kingston wins, anyway! I guess the better half of JAS will continue the hunt for the Trios titles. Well, there could be a multitude of possible combos they could go with in that feud, if they had the tv time for it. I think strategy-wise, it's time for Hager to throw his hat into the ring and replace Sammy in their next attempt. Anybody could see that Stokley's training wasn't going to be all that effective, since the montage was missing the proper music. It just doesn't work like that, guys!
  21. I saw a little bit of the opening recap at the beginning of this after Rampage and I have to say that Impact's production values look amazingly slick for something that, to my understanding, has to work with a tight budget. If I have the time, I'll be sure to check it out more, and not just keep up with @DreamBroken 's results, like I have for more than a few years now.
  22. Sammy would have a hard time getting another crack at the TNT-title at this point, and while Jungle Boy has had big wins in the last 12 months and last 6 months, especially, those aren't big enough to get a World title match. As for other contenders, Wardlow just lost another big match, Mox and Hangman still tangle with each other, Kenny and Jericho seem to still be mixing it up with the trios scene. Darby hasn't had a match since losing the TNT-title, but was on a roll before that. Starks won't be climbing back to top contention before others get their chance. This leaves the current champs like OC and Hook, who have theoretically had so many wins at this point that they are owed a title match (as does Sting, who is undefeated too, if I'm not mistaken). None of those 3 should be the one to unseat the champ, but I would be entertained by all of them challenging for the title. To be honest, there are enough potential contenders to have a monthly title defence until that 2024 deadline. In any case, whoever will get the next shot, will not very likely be the one to unseat MJF, either, so I guess everyone should hope it will not be one of their favorites. Which reminds me, that PAC kicking the shit out of MJF, but somehow coming up short would probably be very entertaining, too!
  23. I bet there will be highspots! Holy shit!
  24. Can they somehow work it so that it'll be Davey Richards on a pole? That will take a better booker than myself to make it make sense, though! (edit... weird timing, just read that he's out of everything, so he'd be free to just sit on top of a pole from now on). So, yeah after being thoroghly dissapointed with the watchROH "App", (not the actual product, though, it was really good), I just said F it, and and got the DAZN subscription. The first impression is good, the fast forward option is better than the one I have on FITE. Also, getting the option for watching Impact, too, for the same price is a nice bonus. This is probably well worth the ten bucks per month and very convenient for me, which is the top priority. This week's Dynamite was entertainment heavy, but you know, I don't mind it, after watching wall to wall wrestling of the ROH episodes one and two.
  25. The first ROH episode was really good, despite awful platform. Peppering the roster with New Japan folks makes it even more hardcore.
