  1. Besides booing Moon for being from Dallas, the crowd seemed pretty tepid responding to her. She was getting some cheers to be sure, but the crazy thing was they were way more into booing Shayna. I don't know if it can stay that way, but she's not a cool heel right now. Once she gets her hands on someone the audience truly likes she could be a nuclear heat magnet.
  2. Everyone in Philly/South Jersey is in a great mood, which means they'll be super polite to each other and enter the building in an orderly fashion before doing Eagles chants during boring spots and shitting down the throat of whoever's pointing at the sign by the end of the night.
  3. I'm okay with Johnny's selling because I grew up a Shawn mark and I'm not bothered by theatrical selling. Even though he lost, there's not a doubt in my mind that Gargano is now the ace for the brand. The match and the commentary was completely designed to put him over, and Almas got a minor "You gotta hand it to him," from Mauro afterwards. I wouldn't be surprised if the grudge match with Ciampa goes on last at Takeover New Orleans over Almas versus presumably Black.
  4. It also makes Ciampa look like an even bigger cold, calculating prick to let the match play out. If Gargano wins, attacking him guarantees Ciampa gets to cut in line for a title shot that Gargano will grant just to get revenge. If Gargano loses, Ciampa gets to beat him down immediately after his hopes and dreams have been crushed.
  5. That was my first time seeing Fish and O'Reilly. They were pretty good, but Fish needs to lose the mouth piece if it's the reason for his egregiously noticeable spot calling. The tag also had the most notable use of silly Dunnesque quick cuts all night during one of AoP's beat down segments.
  6. I thought Cole took the chair spot about as safely as one could. The electric chair bump onto the ladder looked like it could have hurt him a lot more.
  7. It wasn't the standard chain wrestling two guys use to start a match or just show that they know how to go to the mat either. It was serious grappling and they made it look easy.
  8. Great show. Shayna is fucking terrifying. They need to strap a rocket on her.
  9. Vince got an executive producer credit on some of their movies while they were still under contract. I sincerely doubt he's seen any money from their movies for a long time.
  10. That was a scandal-ridden couple of years in the early 90s. If all of that had happened at once now, Vince (and maybe the entire company) would likely be done. Although, some really hairy, insane shit has happened subsequently and they're still standing. Props to @Raziel403 for posting a Claude Rains meme.
  11. If the story's true, then it's probably because he thought some pleb working in a strip mall tanning salon would want to see his dick, and if she didn't it was his word against hers.
  12. My favorite part is the "forever" in the top left corner.
  13. Okay, I want Kofi to go over.
  14. I remember seeing that live and thinking I'd just watched someone die.
  15. I'd like to think Vince was a little humbled last time he tried to shop the programming around like it was worth NFL or NASCAR money and no one would give him a better deal than NBC/Universal. But if he wasn't humbled by XFL bombing then it might take him physically injuring himself just by doing a light sprint into the ring...no wait...I think this guy might be shameless and beyond embarrassment.
  16. After Braun eviscerates the Miztourage, Maryse should get into the ring begging for her husband's life. Braun grabs her, and then it's like that scene in Predator 2 where he spares Maria Conchita Alonso because he uses his Predator vision to see that she's pregnant.
  17. We've been saying this for five years and counting.
  18. Oh come on, that's absurd. It would have to be all three of their kids on each other's shoulders in a trench coat.
  19. I've always been curious about this: Everyone involved in Taker/Foley HITC has always maintained that the second bump through the cell ceiling was a legitimate accident. I've doubted this because I've never seen anyone, including Foley, explain what was supposed to happen next. Presumably they'd have to make it into the cell at some point, and I don't see the point of going back up on the roof without another spot planned. Does anyone remember someone describing what was supposed to happen? I'm almost sure it's not in Foley's books or any interviews I've seen.
  20. If I don't see Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd seething mad at each other in the offices of Blue Moon Detective Agency before the revival fad dies I'll be really disappointed.
  21. You can't admire someone else or put them on a pedestal like that. It's like Matthew McConaughey says, be your own hero. Man, McConaughey really turned his career around and seems to have a great balanced family life, which is rare for...aww shit.
  22. Taker's best run on the mic was during the Big Evil phase and it's not even close. He did look shook Monday coming to the ring without his normal lighting.
