  1. Every James Bond Movie. Starts hot to shine the babyface., at some point the heel cuts him off to get some heat leading up to the big comeback in the finale act. going further this is my argument when people say things like "the royale rumble is too predictable" , every James Bond movie follows pretty much the same formula and its the correct one because often the obvious storyline is the right way to go.
  2. I hope if the Inner Circle continues its shifts from being Jericho's backing band to Jericho mentoring Sanana/Ortiz & and Sammy similar to Darby & Sting. Plus him doing commentary.
  3. On the subject of Hogan, I kinda feel that people have been dumping on him for so long that he's kinda come full circle and is kinda underrated inring
  4. There's a decent amount of attitude ear stuff that has simply not aged well. For everything great Austin -McMahon storyline, you get some real garbage, plus the whole "not enough wrestling on the wrestling shows" complain that was true.
  5. I'd like to see Sammy beat MJF to win Blood & Guts. Maybe have him beat MJF one on one down the road to set up a "I've got your number" storyline
  6. The woman's division has kinda treated water with regards to the Champion not really having a story or a feud just random title defenses. I've enjoyed the matches themselves but they've all been kinda stand alone affairs. hopefully with Britt Baker breaking out that can change. regarding Tessa huge fan of her work in WOW and PCW shame she canceled herself. I kinda wonder if bring her in would be a Barry Bonds/Randy Moss situation where the negatives of having her in the locker room would cancel out the positives of her talent.
  7. I think when discussing the women's division we don't give enough credit to how Red Velvet held that angle/match together for Jade. Brandi getting Preggers was the bet thing that could have happened. I don't know if Red becomes a "star" but she certainly has a spot in the solid hand category. I'm finishing up watching WOW on AXS and AEW should think about bringing in Reina Reyes. She's impressed me a lot and is Lance Storm trained.
  8. I've been of the opinion that the announce booth is too crowded, three commentators with no clearly defined roles (Like when WCW had Tony as lead, Bobby as Color, and Mike Tenay doing his Professor bits)and often they add a fourth person. I feel cutting it in half would help a lot. JR tends to get lost when trying to make his points and I do feel that him and Tony tend to step on each other. Send Jr and Jericho (as he's seemingly winding up his in ring career) to the second show where they can play off each other with the Ray Stevens references and leave Tony and Excalibur on the main show
  9. I love Darby getting a win by a different means every week, Ditto on the love for the Bret Spot. I also love that in AEW microphone shot equals death apparently. does this all lead to Kingston vs Kenny at DON? Star turn from Nick Comoroto tonight, and Sammy continues to look like a rising star. Loved the Bob Dylan promo. Also loving psycho Miro
  10. Also in regards to Darby he wants to be a fighting champion so he's taking on all comers pretty much
  11. I haven't seen enough of Dick Murdoch but I was really into Trever and Cade's tag team back when
  12. There's a reason Metallica and Led Zeppelin rarely if ever have their music featured in movies. I think it was Scott Keith who used to refer the the Cruiserweight division as "Jobberweight", and I kinda think that is how post 1997 WCW fans see anything labeled junior/light/cruiser. I'd rather them add a US title (I think Miro would be good with this one) have that be more storyline focused and have the TNT title be just guys doing open challenges every week with the focus on the work rate.
  13. A while back someone metionted instead of three people going half and half with the face paint someone should go top bottom, tonight it happened
  14. Probably Midnights vs Road Warriors, probably midnights vs others as well
  15. Really fun episode, so much blue chip talent on display. Ricky Starks has a ton of Rick Rude in him, maybe he can feud with Cody and put Brandi's face on his trunks or something. He certainly deserves to be more of a main event player. Loved Darby winning with the last supper as I really like guys having more than one way to win a match, plus it puts over Darby as not just being a daredevil but a guy who can actually wrestle. I like the Nightmare Family vs Factory feud but it would be better if it was the main feud for AEW Thunder or AEW Saturday night. Wardlow feels like Batista right before he split off from evolution
  16. It appropriate seeing that Marty was last seen on TV stalking Cage's wife
  17. I buy Sid kinda for the same reason I buy Mongo "lets go get the biggest, meanest kid on the block as back up". I like Dean and Benoit as a 90's version of Arn and Ole.
  18. Meltzer's also of an age where he might just never have been diagnosed as a kid. I think its fine to understand that the WWE is a business and they are under no obligation to pay people forever, It's also fine to feel that they way they conduct their business is shitty (lay off during record profits and a pandemic) at least when the go to excuse was "creative has nothing for you" that was somewhat true. You know it used to be that we had a ton of "characters" and not a lot really good workers. Now its flipped where almost everyone can go in the ring but a lot of wrestlers leave a lot to be desired on the "character" front. In that I would have a hard time defining who they are beyond "wrester". So I enjoyed the Illconics getting over on character work from what I saw of them. I'd love to see them show up in AEW and be chased around by Abadon.
  19. Steve "Mongo" McMichael was not a bad horseman, Flair and Arn going out and getting a big, rough, tough, ex-football player as back up made sense. Now I think putting the US title on him was a mistake, he would have been better used as an outside the ring enforcer and in multi-man tags
  20. I'd like Sammy to be the one to take the TNT off MJF in that situation, so then they can renew their feud over the World title in a year. Christian vs Hobbs is exactly the way they should be using him work with the young guys not just other veterans Along with that I'd have Dustin team with Billy Gunn against various combos of QTs faction
  21. the real question is how the hell did he not get hurt in that spot!!!
