I had read about 8 of Laymon's novels and never noticed his over use of the word rump.Then found a podcast that had Ketchum,Ed Lee and I think Brian Keene talking about Laymon and IIRC Ketchum mentioned how often Laymon used the word rump. Now every book of his I read I notice it.

Love Laymon,but how can you write about the man without using the word Rump at least once sir?

IIRC I first saw Newman's name in some review or article he wrote for the sadly now gone Video Watchdog magazine. Wasn't he also in that BBC made documentary about Ken Russell's The Devils?

Damn about 4 years ago met Matt at Wildkat sports Luke Hawx vs Matt Hardy show. Matt was asking 5 for autographs and 10 for a pics with him or him and Reby. Matt was a bit shocked when I told him "Hey John Henry Delong says Hello". I doubt Matt was expecting to hear about the old OMEGA time keeper.

Saturdday 3 of us made the 2+ hour drive to Sandersville MS for a SWA show. Now SWA rarely brings in anyone known outside of the AL/MS/LA scene.but they always have fun shows and very loud crowds. We got invited down to film/do commentary/do security. Still waiting on Bodyslam Media Productions to post their stuff. But I was also filming with my camera,but my cam has a shitty mic so you won't hear the commentary. Anyways saw something I had never seen before. Second match of the show was rookie Aztec Warrior Alex Cruz vs long time vet Lukas Frost. Now each match,outside of the Sandersville Street Fight and the main event had 15 minute time limits. The Cruz vs Frost match went the full 15 minutes. Got a 5 more minutes chant started,most of the 350 people were chanting along. But they didn't get 5 more minutes. Guessing maybe they will have a rematch at the next SWA show in May.

There is a semi Lucha themed place in NOLA called Juan's Flying Burrito. 2 locations,one is on Magazine street,but it is a bitch to find parking. The other is smaller but has better parking. Good food,use to hit it up before Wildkat shows years ago.

Our nearest Golden Corral is a freakshow. Seen people get shoved out of the way cause the person by them wanted the food more. Watched kids stick their fingers into the chocolate fountain. Plus it is below average food at above average price.

There was a match that went viral. Fat Fake Doink,who just goes by Doink vs John Hedenriech in a Golden Corral parking lot in Mobile AL. Sorry still getting use to a virtual keyboard. Feeling old I learned to type on manual typewriters.

There is a Commie Clown that I have seen teamed up with Fat Fake Doink,from the Hedenriech Golden Corral match,running around Alabama.

Every year ,since I usually spend the holidays with my family on the coast,my lady makes me a stocking and sends it down. So I have something from her waiting on me X-mas morning. This year since I stayed home she gave it to me X-mas day. All the above was stuffed into one tiny Avengers stocking.

That was also how many years ago. I was surprised. But in AL every wrestler has to have their blood pressure tested before they are allowed in the ring. The doc at the show kind of hinted if someone's blood pressure was high he would still let them wrestle if they greased his palms.

See I am the opposite. I hate the film and find it boring as hell. Love the novel and found it as scary as people told me the film was.

In Mississippi you have to have a license to wrestle. To get one you have to be 18 or older and pass a blood test. All they test for is HIV. Not that there isn't plenty of indy guys working that fake the blood test,to save money,or are under 18. It is ran the commission is at a show. Now in AL they have someone at every show. The woman that runs Wrestle Birmingham got fined last year cause during their June show Curtis Hughes called the crowd "The biggest bunch of redneck PORCH MONKEYS I HAVE EVER SEEN."

Andy is a guy that if he was 5 inches taller would be somewhere on tv each week. But yeah he has been around what at least 8 years now? I know 5 years ago he was headlining NWA BIW shows in my town.

Talked to one guy that worked for that fed,The Prince of Pain Joe Kane.He says he knows of a few matches up on Youtube waiting on him to link them to me.

I know nothing about it but know who to ask. Gotten to know lots of the MS vets over the past few years.

Yeah OML started to get away from the original concept around the last issue I have read,I think it was issue 8. Just like how Squadron Supreme kind of shit the bed after 4 issues.

I have only read the first story in the new Moon Knight but it is damn good. The first 8 or so issues of Old Man Logan have been good. So far nothing from DC's Rebirth has caught my attention.

The Gulf South Wrestling Bullet retirement match was suppose to be Bullet vs Ricky Rocket. The Wrestle Birmingham Bullet retirement match was suppose to be Bullet and Tracy Smothers vs Jimmy Golden and someone. That was the match that replaced the Bullet Bob retirement match at the Wrestle Birmingham show.
