Silver? I thought there was only red, blue and gold? Am I missing one as well? I had the time to do it today, so I shook about 50 of the other three today. The snow stuff hasn't been as fun for me. I'm on a two household island, so I'm not getting any of the snowman DIYs because I leave the snowman stuff for my wife. I might be "Player One" on the island (she didn't start playing until late May/early June), but I leave a lot of that stuff for her...

L.A. Park pretty much saved Monster Clown’s life on that dive. Lots of bad ideas on this show. That said, I enjoyed it from top to bottom. I’m maybe turning the corner on Omega. I’ve never really *disliked* him, but never saw what everyone else saw. The last few matches I’ve watched, though, have been pretty great.

Best live experience was easily my first ECW show. It was also the first (and only, I think) ECW show in Harrisburg, PA. 6/5/98. Dudleys whipped the crowd into a frenzy, of course. Not sure I’d call the result a “riot,” but it was in the neighborhood. This is after a fun Credible/Lynn match, a Candido/Snow match that I remember fondly and RVD vs. Mike Lozansky, which blew me away at the time. It was also the show where Sabu threatened to stab me with his spike. If I’ve never told that story here, he tried to jam it into the ring, but it bounced and rolled under my seat. I went to grab it and he apparently thought I was trying to take it. He snatched it, grabbed me by the head and reared back. Pretty clearly working the entire time, but being on the other end was something to remember! I’ve mostly been to WWF shows that generally had one or two good matches and a lot of folks taking the night off. Wouldn’t trade those shows, though. Live wrestling is fucking great. My first live show had a Piper/Perfect match that warrants mention. Two of my all time favorites and it was great to see them face off. Best match I’ve seen live was the Bret/Bulldog bloodbath from IYH. I was probably closer to the hog pen than the ring that night, but you know when you’re seeing a classic, even from a mile away...

I caught the show after not watching much NXT this year. Enjoyed almost all of it. When did Damian Priest get good? I actively disliked him on the indies, but he had legit star quality here. WWE house style has done wonders for him.

I guess in this years NHL release, there was a preorder bonus with an NHL ‘94 throwback mode. That standalone mode has gone up as part of GamePass today. I’ve only played one period so far, but it feels pretty much like I remember that game feeling. I haven’t played it in years, but muscle memory has me absolutely bodying the CPU, so that’s probably another plus in terms of how accurate it plays to the original. This wasn’t on my radar at all and now I feel like I’ll be playing this more than anything else on the Series X...

Anyone know offhand how long the black and white nWo Saturday Night segments ran? I assume they were done by the end of '96? Watched a random WCWSN from October '96 and had mostly forgotten that they even did these segments. This era of Saturday Night was really fun in general. Dusty and Schiavone on commentary and some weird matches that are sorta "dream matches" if you love the B and C-level shows (the show I watched had the Faces of Fear vs. Bunkhouse Buck and Mike Enos, for instance).

Stringfish is the last fish for me as well. No go after 40 baits. I only saw 3 XL fish, all black bass. There's plenty of time, so I'm not too concerned yet. My nightly (and ultimately fruitless) quest for the Golden and Giraffe Stags earlier in the year make me realize that it's not a given that I'll find one, though.

K.K. Birthday is my last. I might also have your missing song on display. I'd planned on getting them all, but lost steam at some point. Certainly not lacking funds, as I went over 10 million bells today. And that's with exactly one week of buying turnips. My economy runs on fruit and underwater critters. Well...that and me rarely buying anything. There were snow flurries on my island this morning. First time I've seen that.

My replacement Series X turned up today. Setup was fine and, after installing all of the streaming apps we use, I was able to spend some time with Valhalla. That load time stuff is the real deal. It wasn’t even something that bothered me much, but man...it feels like a feature I won’t be able to live without now that I’ve experienced it. Not sure I like the textured controller. Or maybe it’s just that it’s a bit smaller. As someone with big ass mitts, that might be an annoyance during a long play session. Hardly a big deal, though, as I think I could just use the older XB1 controllers I have if necessary. It’s also something I’ve dealt with since the NES, so I’m used to it.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting these. I've always found wrestling in PR fascinating, but it's probably the territory that, other than the Brody story, I know least about in terms of behind the scenes stuff. The podcast notes you've been posting sent me down a youtube rabbit hole this past weekend that I rather enjoyed!

Got an email from Microsoft saying that my (replacement? Repaired?) Series X has shipped. I don’t expect to see it this week because of the holiday, but hoping it gets here quickly.

No one comes to my island, so I normally just drop a stack right off the pier at the airport. That way, when I want to travel, I just pick up a ticket and go. I do the same with the tickets that Label gives out. They just sit outside of the shop rather than cluttering up my inventory. I guess that wouldn’t work if you have visitors you don’t know, though.
