Surely he is changing up the name to run away from creditors or something equally scummy.

Judging from the poster I would love for the promotion to be shootstyle with death match main events. Let's go back to the original FMW and get some karate fighters and ex-boxers!

The FMWE is done away with. This is a new promotion.

No, FMW-E still exists. They are running two shows in Hokkaido on October 1st and October 2nd. They have pretty much been dead since December though as they are only running house shows bought by sponsors. They were losing money running once a month shows in Yokohama so they stopped doing that.

Fire Blast Wrestling is not a new promotion. It is a name change from Fire Pro-Wrestling that started back up in 2016 and ran as recently as July. Onita does not run Fire Blast Wrestling. The company just bases their shows off him.

Onita hasn't put his own money in a company since FMW in 1995. Even Onita Pro was financed by sponsors to where he wasn't putting up his own money.

Tonight's 9/18 NJPW show is canceled due to the typhoon. The 9/19 show in Fukuoka is also canceled but it wasn't going to be broadcast anyway. Stuff happening in Tokyo won't be affected but there is a lot of rain there right now.

Lot of shorter matches.

Almost double what I expected.

All the right people won, at least.

Short as in one of the matches in the upper half of the card was under a minute.

I’m assuming that was due to the limited amount of time they had for the live TV stream (combined, as well, with bad planning).

Spoiler

Or maybe Nomura can’t do two big singles matches in two days?

Jake Lee announced the dissolution of TOTAL ECLIPSE.  So Kuarashi and Koji Doi are on their own together, those two will challenge for the World tags.

So AJPW Army, Voo Doo Murders, GOA are the units.

Nextream and EVO are basically tag teams for now. Evo just has Nagata in the associated member like Bret Hart was for nWo.
