Brady got away with an intentional grounding prior to Gronk catch.

He's been borderline on a couple before that too. . . .

The league really should do something about the intentional grounding rule, but I'm sure they won't. The rule is seriously broken when it allows for Brady to be in the grasp of two defensive players and about one foot from the ground, and then shovel pass it into the dirt 10 feet from a receiver who is not even looking.

I think the intentional grounding rule needs to be completely revamped. No more throwing the ball out of bounds when you're out of the pocket. No more airmailing the endzone. No more throwing the ball into the ground on a screen that gets blown up. And then stuff like the situation you're mentioning.

None of these will ever happen because they'll lead to QBs getting hit more and the league doesn't want that. But all these rules do is punish the defense for playing good defense and that's not right.

Exactly.  Here's the rule: did the QB obviously throw the ball away to avoid a loss?  Then he intentionally grounded the ball.  The rule is right there in the fucking name.  A sack is one of the most exciting plays in the game and to have a QB take that away from you by throwing it at the ground is the worst.
