Elsalvajeloco
For a guy throughout stretches of his career characterized for not having heart in tough situations, Edson Barboza just showed all the heart in the world to come back and win against a tough young fighter in Sodiq Yusuff.

Elsalvajeloco
I know Eduarda Moura missed weight, but I don't think it's possible to be that much bigger than opponent at 115. It was an atomweight in there with a bantamweight.

Elsalvajeloco
It's weird cause Almeida is probably best when he's super aggressive. Maybe this is indicative of what his approach might be against guys as he moves up the ladder. I guess it's win this one and tried to look better next time. I dunno. jaedmc
I certainly don't think it was a "Yeah let's give this guy what he wants: Ciryl Gane." Kinda performances.

I mean, if you have an interim champion why run Stipe vs. Jones for the title when Jones comes back? Like are we looking at a potential card next fall, where there are two different heavyweight title holders defending against different opponents on the same night? Heavyweight is a fucking mess. I think it's quite possible that next week's winner fights either Gane or Almeida in April/May for the interim title and Jones/Stipe fight around then with the unification coming later in 2024. I mean you could always have the chicanery we had with the LHW title with the vacant title staying vacant cause it ended in a draw.
