  1. Loved Cena/Dolph. Awesome match with some very good near falls. Opening tag was good stuff too. Kane was fun throughout. My favorite being when Kane tells HHH that it's him and he goes "I know it's you, Kane, but who is the opponent" CorporateKane/DemonKane rules
  2. Didn't this happen to them once before? I could've sworn the world title was held up because the champion was injured and the ensuing tournament ran so long that the injured former champion was back before the tourney was over. 2010. Abyss "injured" RVD (used up all his contract dates I think), title was vacated and a tournament was held. RVD returned to face Abyss at BFG the same night that the tournament final crowned the new champ in Hardy/Anderson/Angle.
  3. Storm was one of the best babyfaces in wrestling in 2012 during his feud with Roode, delivering killer promos all the time in addition to great matches. Looking forward to what he gets to do here. Very cool to see, hope they continue bringing in these veteran free agent types.
  4. Going back to the Hardys, just to repeat - those 06-07 matches were MNM were fantastic, showstealer kind of matches. I'd probably say their best. I also remember really digging their series after that with Cade & Murdoch.
  5. This is how the World Title Series will play out, at least mostly. As noted in the TNA/GFW thread, it appears to lead to who becomes the new TNA World Champion.
  6. I enjoyed the whole presentation of this World Title Series, wacky as it is. I love the little studio with Josh and Pope, has an oldschool vibe to it. Aries/EC3 was good stuff, great to see Aries back on TV again even if it was taped before. Loved Josh saying how the internet would be questioning Aries losing a career match and basically just saying "Well, he found a way!" Kind of reminds of the BFG Series. They'll have like over 40 matches so should be a long tournament, hope it continues leading to good fun matches like tonight.
  7. The 4 knockouts are in their own "group" so they all face each other, then the two with the most wins/points go on to the next round and face men. 32 wrestlers, 8 groups of 4 wrestling round robin style, 2 from each group with the most points move on to a 16 person single elimination tournament.
  8. Asuka's debut was absolutely perfect. Had high hopes and she nailed everything. She is such a dynamic performer, totally captivating. Excited to see her next matches already. The "you fucked up" chant was so great in that context. And yeah Dana Brooke was excellent in her role I thought. Balor and Joe both looked good, nice to see them win and I dug the finals. the Corbin/Gable finish was slick. Main event was another classic. Obviously Sasha wasn't going to win but some of the near falls towards the end were very well done. Dug the call back to last time's amazing finish. I think the first one had the better finish, didn't care a whole lot for this ending but good stuff all around. Sasha is just indeed the best.
  9. Looks like the big Team Challenge Series taped with all those matches is going to be used now as the World Title Series starting tonight. This isn't the Gunner/Bram tournament as this never had a conclusion to it , the matches just kept going. Assuming it will carry through the next 2-3 months.
  10. Really great 24 special. Even disliking the outcome of their match as a big Sasha fan and not a Bayley fan, damn that match was incredible and this was a fantastic special look at it. I loved the reactions from their mothers too, awesome touch that really hammered home the emotions involved in the match overall. Watching the match at the time, I wasn't convinced Sasha was going to lose so I hated when she did but at the same time it was a match that sucked you in as a fan, gotta love it. Always great to see proud HHH after with Balor and the girls. Owens came off real well in his bits too. Haven't watched NXT since the last Takeover but this made me feel like I at least have to see the main event now and of course Asuka's debut.
  11. Awesome finishing stretch in the opening six man tag. Burial Steph seemed more noticeable than even usual tonight. Great to see Sasha get her hometown victory. Liked Natalya/Paige a lot and was surprised to see Natalya get a clean submission win but real good little match. Figured either Kofi or Dolph was accepting the US Open. Guessing they do something with Dolph/Cena off the accidental superkick. Dolph wins the US then they can go back to the never-ending Dolph/Rusev saga since Rusev is demanding a WWE gold. Disappointed that Rollins/Demon isn't in the Cell. Figured it was a reach with already doing two even though they did three at the first HIAC PPV in 2009. Seemed like it was a perfect fit for Demon Kane's title shot.
  12. I was surprised but they were treating this as the end of EC3's streak despite him not being pinned. Josh said something like "The end of 714!" after. Of course they could just have him keep claiming the streak since he wasn't pinned.
  13. Yet Kong still managed to get in 2 WWE video games in that time too. Forgot about the mentioned John "Big" Gaburick bump at the end, that was indeed hysterical.
  14. Thought this was a very enjoyable show with good matches top to bottom. Ultimate X was a fun little spotfest opener with the guys doing some crazy stuff like Tigre's 450 to the floor and Everett's springboard 630. Helms appearing was random, wonder if it leads anywhere. Gauntlet for the Gold was super fun, loved it. Fun little surprises with Snow & Dreamer. Tyrus winning was interesting with the setup after vs EC3. Tag title match was good stuff as was Roode/Lashley, both real solid. Gail/Kong was good and stood out as different from the rest. Angle/Young was strange with the match being called off but not really then just continuing randomly. Liked the big fight feel for the main. Thought EC3 might retain somehow but a cool moment for Matt. Hope to see Drew as champ in the future but happy for Matt to get his moment and world title run. Good show IMO. Hope new tapings are announced as I'm looking forward to more after this show. Results:
  15. Thought the show was disappointing with nothing really happening. Figured it'd feel a bit more like more than just another house show. With the TV build, I expected a Dudleys win or at least not another DQ after they just did one on Night of Champs. I doubt they'll drag it out till TLC for the tables match. Owens/Jericho finishing sequence was cool.
  16. Got mine in as well, thanks again SKOS!
  17. Really dug the Reigns/Wyatt segment. Simple and effective that put over the feud/match real well. This has been one of the more enjoyable Wyatt feuds and I hope they deliver a good one in the Cell.
  18. Vince coming out to "Obsession" was the absolute best, favorite part of that whole show. I was surprised they even used it, such a great little detail.
  19. That's Demonkane! I wish he would win the title. Love Charlotte and especially Becky.. enjoyed their match. Fun opening with Cena and the New Day. Weird last two matches with a double DQ then a double countout, strange closing to the show. Fun brawl though with the great table spear.
  20. Very enjoyable interview that flew by. Bischoff was a great guest to have as someone that hasn't been featured much in WWE projects in years. Love the format, like having another podcast on the Network to go along with the occasional Austin and Jericho shows. Also love the Table for 3 show. The first two were highly enjoyable, especially last week with New Day. Now they've got some real interesting pairings coming up starting with Madusa, Ivory, and Molly Holly this week, that should be real cool and different with people we don't usually see/hear much from.
  21. Corporate Kane and Demonkane is the best. Figured Paige would turn soon but didn't see it coming just then. Another fun Show/Cesaro match and a good long Cena/Rollins match. Hoped they would have some update on Sting but I guess he'll just disappear again.
  22. The double main events were good. Never thought Sting had a chance at winning but he did a great job and I wish he was going to work matches more often. Cena winning the title back makes taking it off him in the first place seem strange but I hope the US Open is back tomorrow. Enjoyed Charlotte/Nikki for the most part though didn't love it being more of a 'Nikki dominates, Charlotte hits two moves and wins' type match. Did love Charlotte's consistent selling all throughout and in to the post match. Great job putting it over as a real moment too. Dudleys/New Day was pretty fun. Jericho as the mystery partner worked and made sense but the finish made him look dumb then the post-match was confusing. He's supposed to work Owens at MSG.. wouldn't mind that as an IC title feud. Love the Brock Lesnar "Go to Hell" Tour. Should be an interesting podcast and very much looking forward to Lesnar/Undertaker in the Cell. Big fan of the exciting end to the show with the Return of the Demon. Kane's a great logical choice for Seth's next challenger to finally blowoff their long rivalry. I wonder if that will be in the Cell too.
