    Hannibal season 2

Thanks for that interview link, Reed. I was shocked that the budget of this show is roughlty $1 million less per episode than you average network drama. You can't tell by looking at it. As for season 3...Fuller continues to insist that Red Dragon is season 4, but it'll be interesting to see if he builds in an out to the finale this season that might allow them to skip to Red Dragon if he feels like season 3 will be their last stand. From the way he talks about it in interviews, it sounds like he REALLY wants to do that story. At this point, I would guess that season 3 has Hannibal on the run as a fugitive (in other words, they'll do the season of DEXTER everybody wanted to see but the show never had the balls to do).
  2. Rob Liefeld claims to have read the script and says Cable and Deadpool are in it. That's all we really know.
  3. Apparently Jennifer Lawrence took another pratfall on the red carpet. She has to be working it at this point, right?
  4. Mark Burnett knows how to make a dollar, doesn't he? Repackage some used footage, stir up the Christian base and get churches to buy tickets en masse, profit. I wish there was some way to track how many purchased tickets were actually used. I mean, surely enough of these people had to realize they had seen all this stuff before when the miniseries aired last year.
  5. I won't be. Fox and Sony are feeling the heat to start matching Marvel's cinematic output. Since they already have a script and a director lined up, I don't see why they wouldn't move ahead with it, unless DOFP bombs and they throw the breaks on everything to regroup. It honeslty seems more likely to happen soon than the possible Mangold/Jackman Wolverine sequel that's been talked about a little.
  6. There is so much echo on Beck's voice, it's almost like he isn't singing live.
  7. Jost couldn't make it through one joke without smirking at himself. Terrible.

    Hannibal season 2

Kind of a good news/bad news deal on the ratings front. The premier did 3.4 million viewers live, which is way up from the end of last season when it actually dipped under 2 million. That's the highest viewer count since before the episode they skipped because of Newtown. On the downside, that was still way down from the first season premier, it lost a good chunk of it's lead-in, and the key demo was roughly the same as DRACULA was doing. I guess we'll see how the DVR numbers help. I know I had to watch it on a slight delay because of the move to Friday. I think it's good for the time being, but if it tails off as sharply at the end as season 1 did, it could be in trouble on NBC, co-production or not.
  9. I KNOW, RIGHT? It's absurd. You kill the hooker. Nobody cares about another dead hooker. She won't be missed. Problem: Dealt with.Episode 4 is the high point of the season. It never gets better than that.

    Hannibal season 2

SO GOOD. I have no idea why more people don't watch this show. It has everything - great writing, unique characters played by fantastic actors, the most beautiful cinematography on TV this side of TRUE DETECTIVE (which this show is better than, for the record), good action when it goes there (as evidenced by the kitchen fight that perfectly walked the line between being inventive in it's use of various kitchen utensils and appliances without drifting over into campiness), and, of course, some of the most insane horror imagery you will find anywhere. The dude waking up in the middle of the sewn-together-corpses-in-the-shape-of-an-eye was beyond fucked up, but I think the sound of that plastic flex tube going down Will's throat is the thing that's going to haunt me forever. Next time I hear a kid playing with one of those bendy straws, I'm going to compulsively vomit all over the place.
  11. The plan right now is to reboot the character in the X-FORCE movie and then move on from there, provided that isn't a piece of shit that nobody likes, too.
  12. No love for the Aries tribute to HBK reffing in disturbingly short shorts?
  13. Thanks. I heard some weird things about the PS4 app, but I can go either way if the PS3 app is good.
  14. So how are the PS3 and PS4 apps working now? I'm trying to wait until things settle down before I sign up.
  15. So the premier was really good, for reasons extending beyond this show's continued efficacy in pushing the boundaries of how much of someone's nake body you can show on basic cable. But the ratings were not so goo. Way down from last season's premier, only slightly up from the finale. Not TERRIERS bad or anything, but it doesn't look like all the critical praise in the world is going to make America care about this one. (Should've put it on Netflix!) Too bad. It's a good show.
  16. Man...As long as Robert Rodriguez is making half-assed in-jokes that pass for "movies," Alba will always have work.
  17. You guys are slacking... Adam Driver has reportedly been cast in a villain role. Maybe *the* villain role.
  18. Funny you bring him up. I recently ran into an old friend who worked on a shoot with Jane a few months back, and he told me Jane is legit the craziest person he's ever met (and he worked with Nic Cage!). Like, a shoot psychopath.
  19. Do what I do... Don't tell them. If they find out, tell them to mind their own business, shut up and watch Lifetime.
  20. I think the Honest Trailer for THOR 2 pretty much nailed it by describing it as "another perfectly adequate Marvel movie that pleasantly killed a few hours of your time."

It really hurts my heart that Art and Raylan can't be in the same room with each other anymore. One of the great relationships on TV, ruined. But I give the show credit for having the cajones to follow through on the storyline, even if it robs me of something I love.
  22. If you hated the first two episodes, I eagerly anticipate watching your meltdown over the next 6 episodes or so. Which reminds me: How implausible is it that a reporter working at a major DC newspaper has virtually no knowledge of THE DEEP WEB or Tor? All that stuff was only a critical part of one of the biggest stories of the last 10 years.
  23. FYI you can manage your fleet from the AC4 app, so you can mine that minigame for cash even when you're away from your console. Also, if you have a friend playing, get on their ass about sending their ships out, because you get +1 fire barrel for every friend's ship you assist, which are incredibly helpful for clearing the "dangerous" routes.

It is too funny that Kendall has an "Uncle Jack."
