I'm 2 episodes in and the show's pretty OK so far, if not leaning a little hard into the whole "Ethics of AI" argument, which is funny this show is doing it when we're getting lots of news of all the old Stark AI's that are getting "human forms" for Vision Quest and here we have Riri making her AI accidentally completely patterned on her friend, complete with PTSD. The soundtrack is fucking KILLER too.

Paramount announced that Strange New Worlds is greenlit to Season 5. Which will also be the last season. I'm guessing by end end of S5 all the characters that weren't on TOS will be phased out and replaced by the characters they have yet to introduce (Which at this point is only really Sulu, McCoy, and possibly Rand. And probably Chekov if they're not doing a redo of TOS.) I imagine we won't get anything about Legacy or a possible TOS redo until we see how Academy pans out.
