  1. It was 2000, and it was a very protective brawl. A bunkhouse brawl no less. It wasn't too bad for a garbage brawl either. Was kind of a template for the Summerslam match against HHH. Now that you reminded me of it, I have it on vhs somewhere and need to transfer it to dvd.
  2. I don't know what to think about that last episode of Hell on Wheels. An interesting departure from its normal formula.
  3. Add in take out the goddamn trash, put your dirty clothes in a hamper and wash them in a timely manner. I just don't understand filthy people. I'm not a neat freak either but I won't let a sink just pile up with dirty dishes or let the trash overflow. I've lived with people like that before and it baffles me how disgusting some people are. I have a question about the game. It might be a dumb one but here goes, if I'm playing on a PS3, will I be able to interact with people playing on a PS4?
  4. IIRC, for most of his ECW tenure, Jason mostly wrestled like a manager would wrestle so it might tough to gauge how good he actually was. Kinda like how JJ Dillon and Bobby Heenan were perfectly decent workers in their day but once they switched to managing, they worked like how an untrained guy would. I think Jason wrestled a normal style at the beginning of his ECW career and did some job duty in the WWF but I can't remember if he was actually any good or not.
  5. Currently reading The Sister Brothers.
  6. I wouldn't say refreshing. I find it quite upsetting to hear anybody doing coke to be honest. I guess in certain circles its more readily available. Well, I didn't mean the fact that he did coke, more so the honesty to admit it. He's been pretty honest on the podcast, so it didn't surprise me. He doesn't go into full detail, but he makes frequent mentions of "gimmicks" and living hard and fast. He's admitted to steroid use, heavy drinking, drinking and driving, soma and pain pill abuse.....he's not shy about talking about this stuff. The one thing he doesn't talk about is his failed marriages and the domestic abuse situation with Debra, but who can blame him for not wanting to dredge that stuff up? It seems like he's in a pretty happy and healthy place with his new wife I think he's not legally allowed to talk about the Debra situation.
  7. T-Bag vs. Michael Scofield in Prison Break was a surprisingly good fight.
  8. I loved the promo he did after Hall, Nash and Hogan attacked him in the back. "You see we are the original and most vicious gang out there. You forgot the most important rule of gang fighting; they send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue!" I know he stole that line from Sean Connery in The Untouchables but it was awesome.
  9. That was Mark Curtis. Some fan jumps in and Curtis chokes him out.
  10. I never found Bischoff to be a good announcer. He was always irritating as hell to me. Calling a dropkick a "back leg round kick" and dumping on the WWF at ever opportunity. Sabu was so out of place in WCW at that point. Awesome as fuck but he definitely didn't fit in.
  11. I don't know if Austin is going to bring Sting on but I've heard there's a good chance we're going to get an interview with Real Estate Steve. The entire interview is just going to be Real Estate Steve telling Austin that he needs to use deadly force when dealing with PED using rats b/c they bring down property values.
  12. How crazy is it that Funk was considered a crazy old man in 198frickin9!
  13. Speaking of Liam Neeson, so is he basically just going to star in different versions of Taken and sequels to Taken? Not that it's a bad thing. Was just wondering.
  14. Wait, people think The Patriot sucked? I thought he was a fairly solid wrestler. His character was definitely out of place in 1997 WWF but he was pretty good in the ring.
  15. "This is the biggest thing to hit tv since the old lady asked where's the beef." I'll say this. Mongo had a lot of awful lines but he definitely put over the product and the guys in the ring. You can tell he had respect for those guys as athletes.
  16. Well yeah I get that, but Graham is portraying himself as being the one that decided to replace them with PPV's like he's some great booking mind. That dvd is hilarious b/c if you listen to Mike Graham, damn near anything WCW did that was successful was his idea. He did get off a great line though. "Jeff Jarrett broke a thousand guitars but never drew a dime."
  17. That is so needlessly complicated. It reminds me of when Triple H's big master plan was to manipulate Eugene into helping him win the world title and it basically boiled down to that the so-called "Cerebral Assassin's" genius plan was to have a retarded guy hit the champion with a chair.
  18. More important question: why doesn't the WWE protect guys and play to their strengths? That's the thing I don't get either. It seems they go out of their way to make guys look like idiots. I remember when they put The Hart Dynasty on commentary and it was cringe worthy. On the one hand, yes, The HD should learn to talk better and sell themselves better but on the other hand, they clearly weren't ready for that sort of thing and were awful talkers, so why even put them in that position in the first place? Why not give them a manager or a valet?
  19. I remember reading old results and seeing in a dark match Tazz & Spike Dudley defended the tag team titles against the team of Batista & Brock. I can't even imagine how ridiculous that had to look. I'd love to see that match.
  20. Even though Tazz was about 3ft tall, he definitely did a fantastic job of projecting himself as the baddest ass dude on the planet. I showed my stepkids a couple of his ECW matches and his debut against Angle and even they bought into how badass he looked. They were asking me if he ever fought Brock Lesnar and would he win if they ever did fight.
  21. JR also said that the money that Vince was funneling to ECW came out of the budget that he (JR) oversaw.
  22. Didn't Buffer get like $100K every time he did his "Let's get ready to rumble" spiel?
  23. Are the Nitros that have Arn's mini-winning streak over Hogan up? Just like the ring steps are Brock Lesnar's weakness, ladies shoes were Hogan's kryptonite. Hot coffee was The Giant's Achilles heel.
  24. I'm plowing through Nitro today as well. I forgot how much shit Bischoff used to talk about the WWF. I'd also forgotten that they used to try to pass The Giant off as Andre's son.
  25. Was there ever a wrestler who didn't fit in somewhere as much as Sabu in 1995 WCW?
