Armie Hammer is supposedly in talks to be in Matt Reeves' The Batman. Armie and some others have went to Twitter to debunk these rumors, but... I mean, it's not like they're going to come out and confirm it, either.

I'm really getting sick of this Lacey Evans bullshit.

Wasn't Kevin Owens the NXT Champion when he debuted on the main roster (May) and didn't lost it until July (and had a rematch the next month)? Ciampa can easily be on RAW/Smackdown and not even lose the belt until WrestleMania weekend. It's been done before. Hell, even what @RIPPA is theorizing has happened - KO defended the title on RAW and Smackdown before he finally lost it to Finn Balor at "Beast in the East".

If you pluck all of those shows from the Network and put them on FOX, then you don't have much original, first-run wrestling content left (if at all). Moving NXT is fine, but leave the UK brand and 205 Live on the Network or else the Network just becomes an archival tool and something that only has a live/first-run wrestling program once a month.

didn't Bret offer to drop the title to Austin (and a few others) shortly before Montreal? That would seem to indicate that Bret wasn't that opposed to working with Austin, even though he didn't like Owen due to the injury at SummerSlam that year.
-
Yeah, and that hasn't been brought up in quite some time if I'm remembering right. If senile old Vince wants to pluck Charlotte from Smackdown, and insert her into the WrestleMania match, he can. Because he's the boss. But can Ruby Riott just walk over to Smackdown and challenge Asuka to a match at 'Mania? No.
-
It's possible because he can do whatever he wants, he's the owner of the entire company.

Speaking of Jessica Jones, according to that Twitter thread I posted, the audience for that show was really different than all of the others. It had the most unique audience out of all the Marvel shows on Netflix, likely hitting the most non-comic viewers.

FEBRUARY 2019 WRESTLING DISCUSSION.

Hey, if you miss baseball that much, and still love wrestling... Matt Striker has a new podcast you might hatelove! -
The other speculation I've seen is that it'll be announced that NXT will take part in the Superstar Shakeup. So, yeah, that means NXT guys can leave - but main roster performers can also get traded to NXT.
-
According to Meltzer, that actually might be the plan.

basically, Netflix doesn’t need Marvel anymore and the viewership decline in all the series’ (even Daredevil) made it hard to justify the mark up they were paying. In the beginning of the relationship, Netflix needed Marvel, but now they have deals in place and movies/original series’ that are more popular. Marvel shows weren’t even in the Top 10 of most watched on Netflix for 2018, according to Netflix themselves. There’s also stuff in that Twitter thread about the likelihood of the shows being revived on Hulu or Disney+ Or wherever. Basically that won’t happen either, because all of the original seasons will be on Netflix, they won’t sell them to Disney, and Disney doesn’t really want/care about them. If anything, you’re looking at complete reboots of the characters, like what happened to Spider-Man when the Sony collaboration came along.

There's a serious lack of Bad Luck Fale on these shows. No wonder I keep cancelling my NJPW World account.

On 3/4/19, they'll be in Philly. That crowd would have went nuts for the NXT guys, most likely. 2 weeks after that would have been the perfect time, since they'll be in Chicago. Next week is in Atlanta, though, and that's usually a hot crowd if I remember correctly. According to someone on Reddit who was there live, the crowd was actually pretty hot and loud, but for whatever reason, it didn't come across that well on television. Take that for what it's worth.

Who gave Thibs the password to @SorceressKnight's account?

The actual line was "You can call Paul Heyman a lot of things, but "liar" isn't one of them". And that's true in the context that Rollins was speaking about, when it comes to the domination of Brock Lesnar in WWE (and UFC, even though they didn't touch his losses in UFC, and rightfully so - it would go against the narrative they're trying to build). Obviously Heyman is a liar, but like I said, Rollins was pretty clearly speaking about the video package and shit Heyman has said about Lesnar, not his ECW days fuckin' 20+ years ago.

Face Miz versus Heel Bryan as a World title match at WrestleMania is the definition of a cold program.

Denzel Curry fuckin' killed a cover of Bulls On Parade by RATM. I think I might like it more than the original, honestly.

I'm really digging Sonya Deville and Ronda Rousey's new looks. I think the latter might have been a one off cosplay type deal, but I hope not. I was never a fan of either of their attires and the long tights really suits them. Speaking of Sonya - I was really rooting for her and Mandy once it came down to just them against Sasha & Bayley. I felt like that was an obvious choice for the "first ever" tag team champions, but they're hell bent on making the NXT Horsewomen be remembered in history, since they've all won the inaugural titles (Charlotte - RAW, Becky - SD, Bayley & Sasha - tag team). It's fine, but Mandy & Sonya are really good and deserve their moment in the sun. Of course, Liv and Sarah Logan eating pinfalls courtesy of Nia Jax and Tamina was pretty awful. I'm generally fine with Nia's work, she's a good "big monster" type, but my fucking god Tamina just gets worse and worse every time. That superfly splash is atrocious. We all know my feelings about Liv Morgan, but Sarah Logan really deserves more than she's been given on the main roster. She's fantastic. Ruby Riott deserves more than the extended squash she got tonight, too. I might not like Charlotte's inclusion in the RAW women's title match, but at least she tried to build up Ruby on Twitter and make it seem like this match might be something more than what it turned out to be. The Becky/Ronda/Charlotte angle was pretty great, but, uh, yeah, Graves & Cole have a point. If she's suspended, the referees and security should have swarmed her the minute she entered the ring. Entering through the crowd was pretty pointless, too, since she just waltzed right by security and into ringside by the timekeeper. I'm glad that Monday's horrible angle didn't sour the fans on Becky, though. It sucks for someone like Ruby Riott, who probably won't ever get a substantial push with all of these names around, but the crowd not caring about Ronda or Charlotte and just chanting WE WANT BECKY over and over is pretty great. WWE is either determined to fuck up Becky's hot streak, or they really and truly don't know how to book something when it's organically hot and not something that they've manufactured. And that's sad. Some other stuff happened on this show but, goddamn, I just don't care about the men's side of things in WWE anymore. Balor winning is cool, I guess? Skipped over Shane & Miz vs The Usos because I hate everyone involved. I get why The Usos won, since the Shane vs Miz angle needs to be furthered, but I'm pretty sure this is the second DUI for the Uso brothers and both times they were immediately given titles like right after it. Corbin vs Strowman is so boring, and I honestly don't care at all. Braun being bumped down into a feud with BARON CORBIN after being so fuckin' over last year just shows you why people have so little faith in that they'll handle Becky Lynch's rise the proper way. The men's Elimination Chamber was a thing, I guess. I bought into the "Kofi might win the title" stuff, but that's all I really cared about. And honestly, if they run Kofi/Bryan at WrestleMania... sure, it'll be a good match. But, let's be honest. That's more of a Fastlane PPV match than a WrestleMania one. I mean, I wouldn't complain, but I doubt it's going to happen. They could have done it tonight, given him a token title run (either until Fastlane, or Smackdown on Tuesday) just as a thank you, but, man, people are dreaming if they think Kofi Kingston as WWE Champion is going to be a thing that would last more than a few weeks (if at all). (That Mark Henry special started out really good but man it time jumped super fast and that made it suck. Give me full length documentaries or don't even bother)

Damn, UpUpDownDown just uploaded a video with Carmella a few hours ago. Comments are disabled on this one. -
He hired Michael Cohen's criminal defense attorney. CNN is now reporting it as "breaking news" that he staged the attack.

So there's 10 fights on ESPN, am I reading that right? ESPN+ has its own prelims, then a handful air on the actual channel, then the main card follows? That's not normal, is it?

I know when I think of fun multiplayer games, Tetris is the first thought in my head.

Michael Waldon, of Rick & Morty, will be be the Loki mini-series' show creator and executive producer (and write the pilot). Apparently the leaks of the plot for this series either wasn't true, or has changed drastically, since according to the Hollywood Reporter, it'll be: Which could be pretty fun, actually. I like that premise way more than what the leaks suggested.
