  1. The only thing I remember about MTV animation shows is watching Aeon Flux reruns in the early 2000s as a preteen and being really confused.
  2. How does CBS All Access work? If I do the free trial, can I burn through the new Twilight Zone episodes, or are they being the anti-Netflix and releasing new episodes a week at a time because "lol CBS"?
  3. I mean, the only time before this that I've had a Nintendo product was when I was really young and I had a Super Nintendo. I played the WWF games and stuff like Power Rangers and the Marvel games more than the original Nintendo titles (except for Donkey Kong Country, my Mom & I loved playing that). At least I'm giving it a shot, finally? By "world" you mean all of the stages in the levels, right? Because I've been running through the start of a level all the way to the Bowser battle at the end, then quitting and picking it back up later (or the next day). Although, I did just rage quit on the stage in the second world where when you jump, the platforms disappear and go infront/behind each other, if that makes sense.
  4. I only liked that post because I also thought Christian/Jericho was a fantastic match. I disagree vehemently about anything concerning those HBK, Taker, HHH matches. They do absolutely nothing for me.
  5. It means basically nothing, but Takeover: NY is the 500th episode of NXT.
  6. A week or two earlier, Michael Che was on and they promoted it a little bit too.
  7. Tessa Blanchard versus Brian Cage Hey, it's just as believable as Rey Mysterio holding his own against someone like Mark Henry.
  8. I don't care about JR being signed, but Excalibur, Alicia Atout and Justin Roberts are good signings. Although I don't know if you could consider Excalibur one, since he still runs/announces for PWG.
  9. I watched The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann last night/this morning. Man, everyone in involved were just shitty. Gonçalo Amaral is a piece of shit, the parents were grossly negligent and were lucky they weren't charged with that, the Portuguese police were corrupt as fuck and only concerned about tourism and how this case (and others) effected the GDP... coming out of it, I'm only left feeling sorry for Madeleine McCann and her siblings. I hope her parents learned to not leave them out of an arm's distance when they're in a foreign country (and staying in rented apartments, not a *mostly* secure hotel). But, then again, I do kind of feel sorry for the parents, due to them being (falsely?) accused of being involved in her disappearance/murder, and then taken advantage of time and time again by people that promised results in the case that they likely knew they couldn't produce. Kevin Halligen in particular was a real piece of work - promising things like spy satellite photos of the area at the time/date of the disappearance and then producing GOOGLE EARTH images. Likely the only good thing that came out of all of this was Julian Peribanez uncovering that paedophile ring on the dark web in his search for Madeleine, and then turning over what he found to the police (which eventually resulted in arrests). I've never seen a documentary before that left me mad, but at the same time, more just... really bummed out about the entire thing.
  10. I got my 3DS in the mail last weekend, and I've been playing it ever since (mainly Pokemon Crystal). I forgot how much of a grind it is the level your Pokemon up, jesus christ. But it's still as addicting as it was when I was a kid playing this on the Gameboy Color. Also popped in Super Mario Land 3D and Smash Bros... I like the latter way, way more. Never been that into Mario games anyway, but it's fun for like an hour or so and then I have to put it down or switch to something else. Super Smash Bros is fun (and I've found my characters in Little Mac and Captain Falcon), but FUCK THOSE GIANT FLOATING HANDS. So far I've bought Ocarina Of Time, A Link Between Worlds, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Monster Hunter Generations and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. I'm waiting on them to be delivered, probably won't be until the weekend though. I'm excited to get into Ocarina Of Time, since I've never played a Zelda game in my life, and STEAM looks really fun. I'm a little pissed though, because the eBay auction for my 3DS listed it as the *New* 3DS XL, and it's just a regular 3DS XL. Which is fine, I'm still going to get a ton of use out of it... but I mainly bought this to play Earthbound (and other SNES games), and now I can't even do that. That's the perils of buying stuff of eBay, I guess. I'll probably upgrade to the new one towards the end of the year or something.
  11. Penis Party is the show of the weekend, don't @ me
  12. Yeah, anyway, moving on from that weird fucking discussion. A new TV spot appeared tonight on TNT during a basketball game.
  13. Kingston/Otani ain't got shit on this.
  14. So because I lurk 4chan for MARVEL SPOILERS I'm now a degenerate, shithead, racist and a pedophile?
  15. He (along with a lot of the roster) was asking months in advance how it was going to affect their PPV pay but they never got any response about it.
  16. I can't fucking roll my eyes hard enough at this.
  17. Uh, okay? 4chan had accurate leaks regarding Infinity War a week (probably less) before it came out. It's where I originally saw a screenshot of Peter turning to dust. Just because you don't like 4chan or whatever doesn't mean they don't have correct information sometimes.
  18. The fact that they aren't even trying to hide that Stark & Nebula make it back gives me hope that the whole "drifting in space" sequence isn't too much of the movie, like 4chan/Reddit "spoiler" posts usually suggest. Doesn't look like it'll be a significant portion of the movie, given the shots we see of Tony & Nebula are ones we've seen before, but extended (IE at the Avengers HQ with everyone).
  19. Nobody with half of a brain is expecting John Oliver, of all people, to completely transform the way the business side of wrestling works. Glenn Greenwald didn't change the way the NSA operates, but he started a conversation about their monitoring practices (with the help of a whistler blower/traitor, depending on your viewpoint). I'm not comparing John Oliver to Greenwald, but they're both trying to bring awareness to topics that most people wouldn't normally give a shit about. And I'm right there with you on the signs/chants thing - it's especially stupid considering one of the first things he touched on in that piece was WWE's social media following and then later, the whole #GiveDivasAChance thing. And he usually does hashtag campaigns too, or at least something more proactive than asking fans of something to disrupt what they paid hundreds to thousands of dollars to participate in. When he did a piece on the FCC, he posted a link to their online complaint forum (or whatever it was, I forget) and they got flooded with messages. The two times in recent memory that they've bowed to fan complaints was the aforementioned Divas hashtag, and then Moolah battle royal when fans contacted sponsors and complained about it. So it's possible to do through social media and the like, however mundane and stupid the more recent examples might be in the grand scheme of things, and especially compared to serious real life things like wrestlers being covered for health insurance while employed by the world's biggest wrestling company.
  20. It's also unrealistic to ask your local po-dunk indie that's headlined by Local Wrestler #5 versus a Doink The Clown ripoff to offer full health insurance and a pension plan, etc. before the world's largest wrestling promotion does.
  21. I thought the implication was that the entire team knew from the start what was going on, but Carol obviously didn't since she was indoctrinated from the beginning.
  22. It's really sad to me that people are saying the only way WWE should offer insurance is if smaller companies like your local indie has to as well. If you don't have an exclusive contract, you're an independent contractor and can work wherever you want and when you want. If you're signed to an exclusive contract anywhere, not just WWE, that requires you to only work for that company, you should get health insurance and be considered an actual employee. It's not that difficult to understand.
  23. I feel like a hashtag or something directed at WWE's Twitter account, or Vince/Stephanie/Triple H could do more than encouraging fans to bring signs or start chants next weekend. I mean, what do you figure the crossover is between people going to 'Mania and people that watch Last Week Tonight (or care about the employment status of wrestlers)? When Oliver did a piece on the Saudi Arabia stuff, it wasn't a full blown 20+ minute segment, I don't think. Pretty sure it was just a couple of minutes long, not like this where over half the show was dedicated solely to the topic.
  24. Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed about 2 hours ago outside of his clothing store. RIP.
  25. But he could come to America, get paid better, and STILL get wasted in WWE AND turned into a stereotype. It's a win-win-win!
