  1. Bound wasn't bad though. But somehow the success of the first Matrix movie made them rubbish forever (some people liked Speed Racer. I'm not one of them). Joel Silver's fault?
  2. What did the leper say to the prostitute? You can keep the tip.
  3. That's true. All of the action was good and shit actually happens. Is Hayden Christensen that bad of an actor? He has one good performance, in Shattered Glass, but that's him playing a guy who's a cocky prick that thinks he's better than everyone else, who is then shocked and humiliated to discover that he's not actually that talented and everyone hates him. So maybe not too much of a stretch for him. But people who only watch Star Wars think Natalie Portman is bad at acting too, so I'm prepared to blame George Lucas for the bad performances. And the terrible script, too. Everyone on this board could come up with half a dozen lines better than "From my perspective the Jedi are evil".
  4. Machete order is 4, 5, 2, 3, 6. No 1. Just because.
  5. Scott Keith used to complain about people putting the figure four on the wrong leg. I emailed him to ask him how isn't the figure four supposed to attack multiple points, and he responded with the Gordon Solie line about attacking seven different points of the lower anatomy. So I asked him, isn't it therefore impossible to put it on the wrong leg? When it clearly damages both legs? He didn't get back to me. He still hasn't got back to me, and it's been over a decade. But I'm sure he'll think of an answer one day. He didn't stop complaining about people putting it on the wrong leg though. I stopped reading stuff he wrote soon after.
  6. And also, he wasn't even the best Sniper in the Coalition of the Willing: EDIT: Broken Link. Bloody newspapers. Just google British Sniper and you'll see it. Plus: Plastic Baby~! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLwAcU0bYl0
  7. How to fuck up the ending: From 1:10
  8. If the horn we heard was the horn from the crashed truck, then for it to be that loud at where the convoy was, the convoy must have been really close to Alexandria. So therefore the first walkers investigating the noise would have been not far behind Morgan... even when the horn stopped, walkers tend to keep going the way they're going, right? That's why the convoy idea worked at all.
  9. This was better than last week's episode. But there was a big unexplained thing from last week (the air raid siren) that they didn't explain. Also, Carol should have explained why she was killing captured Wolves before they could be questioned. Knowledge being power and all. Also, the truck was being driven by a human, right? How was the driver all rotted up like a months old walker, two minutes after getting shot?
  10. The only people in England who know who Sally Jesse Raphael is are obsessive Faster Pussycat fans. And there's an outside chance one of Paige's parents might have been, but probably not. We did actually get Oprah, Ricki Lake and Montel Williams on our tellies for a while though.
  11. See thing about James Storm is, even though he's in the same position as a guy like Sheamus, where everything in his moveset is derivative and overused (except the Eye of the Storm, which is a move he stopped doing because it looked weak and silly), he can still have a great match because he understands the art of storytelling in the ring. Whereas with a lot of guys with derivative movesets, you just get sick of them having the same match over and over again, regardless of their opponent.
  12. Theoretically, right, if you buy a ticket to a Marathon, is there any obligation to attend the whole thing? Or can you turn up halfway through Attack of the Clones and still get in (I'm assuming they're going numerical order, not release order)? And if so, someone go, sit in the front row and photograph the audience as the lights go down, for each movie. Because you might be watching episode one in isolated millionaire mode
  13. Duffy beat McGregor, and McGregor beat Poirier, so obviously Poirier has to beat Duffy. That's how the world works. Although since losing to Conor, Poirier does seem to have improved quite a lot. And Duffy's win could possibly be put a bit more down to natural weight classes and what happens when you fight outside of them, than x>y.
  14. Problems with the UK TV deal? Saturday in Dublin is airing on Pick TV, instead of BT Sport. Pick TV is SKY's freeview channel, and basically exists so SKY can taunt non-subscribers with non-HD versions of the shows they would otherwise have to pay for.
  15. Fresh is posting videos on the youtube and then not adding them on the board? Huh? EDIT: He's not posting anything else for a few days, I'm guessing he's suspended.
  16. For your Juventud Guerrera CAW?
  17. I had been having a week off from playing games and watched stuff all week instead. Amongst that, I watched Taken 2. It reminded me of GTA 5* (in the LA scenes) and Uncharted (in the running around rooftops in Turkey scenes). Street Kings also reminded me of computer games, but that's Keanu's acting level, his movies always feel like cutscenes. Hugh Laurie and Forest Whittaker were good though. Chris Evans too, but after he's done such a good job of nailing Captain America, it's hard to accept him as a junior character like he used to play. Cellular would look really different if I watched it now. I was wondering who the guy who looked like a skinny, non-athletic Terry Crews was. It was Terry Crews. Also I watched The Italian Job. The classic version, obviously. It was classic. * The last bit before the credits, when they're all back in LA and celebrating with Ice Cream, they're in a cafe at the end of a Pier. There's this establishing shot of the pier where the camera swoops up over the hill and you see the freeway, the beach, the pier, and all I could think was they should be grateful I cleared all the Ballas off of that pier last week.
  18. Decided to give Max Payne 3 a go. It's a bit like the Uncharted series, only with all the charm, excitement and adventure removed, and replaced by a misanthropic hatred of and disgust with everything and everyone. A nihilistic view of a world that contains villains, victims, and nobody else. And no climbing scenes. Was Dan Houser not quite right in the head around the turn of the decade? Because it took until GTA 5 for him to realise games are supposed to be fun, and not, like, really depressing and sad.
  19. The two biggest babyfaces of the biggest era in Wrestling were obnoxious douchebags.
  20. Shit, ten years ago when top rosters guys had become an embarresment, they could (and would) demote them to FCW for a while. Even guys who'd been in the title picture and main events, like Big Show. But now... unless you're at the Emma level, I don't see any way they could send someone back to NXT (or let them go to TNA*) without putting a 'failure' tag on them for life. * Christian made the jump, had a couple of years that were easier on his body, and got to prove he could viably be a top singles guy in a company. The TNA he was a part of is not the TNA that exists now.
  21. Can't wait to look at this stuff. In about a year (or more), when I eventually upgrade a console generation. Money is kicking my arse lately.
  22. I was going to say you should go, just so for the rest of your life you could tell people you'd seen Lionel Messi live in the flesh. But he's injured. So go, so you can see Luis Suarez live in the flesh. Then tweet FSW and taunt him about it.
  23. I'll take a wild guess at what's for next week. The Air Raid siren thing was set off from Alexandria because the Wolves showed up. The Alexandrian's thought it would be safe because this was only a dress rehearsal. They kept the fact that they have an Air Raid Siren secret from everyone because they're all idiots with no survival instinct. The producers decided that the show gets stale when they have people in a secure location and the walkers are not a threat, so they concocted this whole thing as a reason to have the secure location overrun, cull a bunch of cast members, and get the ones who survive back on the run (scattered, and mutually unaware of which of their friends are alive or dead) and desperate. Because that was thrilling and dramatic the last three times it happened in this show. They build a castle, they knock it down. It's what they do.
