  1. Was Ultimo's run really any worse than Mistico's (so far)?
  2. Obviously, Swaggart marked hard for Flair. (I wouldn't be completely surprised if Swaggart and Flair partied together at some point)
  3. Eh, it delivered well enough. I really liked this angle back in 1997 when Triple H was still known as "Vince" and Daniel Bryan was calling himself "Stone Cold". Heck, I even enjoyed Stephanie's heeling back when she was still "Vickie" and married to Edge
  4. This thread has taken a turn for the better (particularly since the middle pages are mostly about Dennys and fast food).
  5. I never thought Virgil was literally a slave (I assumed he was being paid). However, even as a youngster, I thought it was a demeaning, borderline racist gimmick. I kinda assumed the company didn't realize how it was really coming across. If I had to sum up the gimmick, "Stephen Fetchit" would be an apt descriptor. This also fits too: Yeah, she had a better grasp of how the gimmick came across than creative did. I'm shocked.
  6. Is there really any reason I need to figure out which Bella is dating Bryan and which is dating Cena? I still have no idea. I could probably watch an episode of Total Divas or google it or something, but... nah. This seems like one of those rare situations where ignorance is a good thing.
  7. I think the story was that he was asked to take a paycut (he's getting something ridiculous like $35,000 a show) and wasn't too happy. Throw in that he's been paid late and he may really be done with them soon. Oh Noes! Where ever will TNA find another hole in the ground to fling its money into? Has TNA taken even a baby step forward since Hogan came aboard? I do think getting away from the Impact Zone and airing live instead of taped are steps in the right direction, but they haven't come close to paying off for TNA and none of the other Hogan/Bisch stuff has amounted to more than bluster.
  8. I liked this thread better when it was still about iphone passcodes. I am neutral on the breakfast issue. Walt is probably a toast man, but Heisenberg seems like a bacon, eggs, & melted cheese man. Nothing like the smell of clogged arteries first thing in the morning. I assume Walt flip flops between the two, depending on whether he's eating alone or with someone who could observe his "suspicious" behavior.
  9. I finished Millar's Kick Ass stuff last week (Kick Ass, Hit Girl prelude, Kick Ass 2). I had the same reaction when I was done. Not entirely terrible reads, but I hated pretty much everything about comics when I was done.
  10. Kidman used the ropes to slingshot himself into the ring. Vampiro caught him in the air and had him across him shoulders in the fireman carry position. Vamps accidentally dropped him and covered by suplexing Kidman instead. Fairly sure the guy who interfered in the Harlem Heat match was 4x4 of the No Limit Soldiers (later renamed Kash/Cash).
  11. Yeah, I like Elementary a whole lot more than Sherlock for basically the reasons mentioned above. Comcast has the whole season upped on Xfinity on Demand, so I'm in the process of rewatching the season. Regarding Moriarty: Am I the only person who thought that they were hinting that at one point. Kinda figured that was a red herring, though.
  12. Steen vs. Heigl only works as a heel vs. heel feud. Neither one of them makes for a good babyface.
  13. Ex-GM Laptop is probably bitter right now that he never got a Twitter account. Speaking of WWE, am I the only person who thinks Big Show's knockout punch (WMD) looks terrible. I've heard the stories about Show tearing doors off their hinges and I don't doubt that he could legitimately cave some people's faces in, but I think the WMD mostly looks terrible. Especially when he throws it against non-wrestlers like McMahon and Dusty. To me, it looks really unconvincing as a legit punch.
  14. Not what you are looking but needs to be posted just for his outfit Hard to believe someone thought Vince would look good in that. Cocaine really is a hell of a drug.
  15. Season 1 is lifted directly from the first Dexter novel. Except, irrc, his brother sticks around and even commits murders for Dexter later on (so "Dexter can dispatch people while being tailed by the police). After the first novel, the show's plotlines diverge. Kinda wish the show had followed the third novel - just for hilarity's sake (basic plot of third novel: Dark Passenger isn't a mental illness. Dexter is possessed by a demon. Plot revolves around a cult that worships said demon. Dexter gets rid of Dark Passenger/demon, marries Rita. On his wedding day, Dexter realizes life without the Dark Passenger is going to be mundane and boring, so he becomes depressed enough to wish the Dark Passenger into repossessing him. No, really.)
  16. Well, for starters, it'd be an improvement over some of the tattoos he actually does have.
  17. Bruno executes a Greco-Roman chairshot to the head. H Hayes needs to wear a name tag if he's going to shave his beard. Vince has aged better than Dave's mullet has.
  18. It's the headband that makes that look totally work for him.
  19. To be honest, no, I don't remember Kofi ever being something special.
  20. If Vince is going to strip Bryan of the belt tomorrow, he should put it on a heel who's really over right now - Bryan Cranston.
  21. Yeah, I had the same thought. Not really sure what to think about this ep. Walt had some babyface moments, but also some episodes of pure evil. Ratting out Jesse's hiding spot, then the "I watched her die" line should have killed any sympathy the audience feels for him, but he also tried to save Hank and provide cover for Skyler (of course, he stole her baby right before that and might have killed or hurt Skyler if Flynn hadn't gotten involved), Not convinced he's going to try to take out Jack or any of the Aryans. He seemed to be blaming Jesse for Hank's death. Blaming Jack means acknowledging his set events in motion by asking Jack to kill Jesse and calling Jack from the desert. That's not how Walt rolls. Honestly, I still think maybe he's going to try to take out Jesse in the flash forward. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
  22. I thought he meant the fans were kids. I naturally assumed he was wrestling a bear (or bears, more properly, since it was a 10 man tag).
  23. Nope, his only singles matches have been getting squashed by Sting and his recent DQ win over Sabin, as well as tapping out to Joe before he unmasked. Even in tags I think he's only been on the winning team maybe twice. So what you're saying is that all signs point towards a world title run for Knux before the year is out?
