  1. Jeez, felt bad for the American to have a lead in cycling for so long only to not even medal. Tough break for her, but it was smart how the three medalists passed her.
  2. Four years ago, with NBC's then-shitty sports app the only way to get events like judo live on my TV was to hook up the laptop to the TV and hope it could handle it (it barely did) Now in 2016 with the Xfinity's X1 system I can watch it live streaming through NBC sports crystal clear. Times like this I realize how truly awesome technology is. This is absolutely delightful!
  3. Agreed, she's quite pretty yet it's hard not to think that. And the timing of Sasha's engagement didn't strike me until that photo. I'm sure it's a coincidence but I got a chuckle out of that.
  4. I might go to at least one of those shows. The Night of Legends sounds neat but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend assloads of cash just to meet them all. But it should be a fun time regardless.
  5. Apparently according to your signature so have those dancing. The Olympics are going to be a literal shitshow for outdoor events. I have a morbid curiosity to check those out just to see how bad it truly gets. But I'm super interested in Judo, Wrestling, and Taekwondo. It's too bad that fringe events get no love on NBC, but I'm hopeful with all they've been promising I should still be able to watch live/catch up without much difficulty. It's amazing to think how easy it should be now compared to even four years ago.
  6. Yes, there's the commentary and random C-show matches. But why not have him go singles on Smackdown? If the roster is as thin as many claim then I'm sure people would be up for Jay having matches on there.
  7. Why is it that when one Uso gets hurt the other can't be on TV? Would a singles run really be the worst thing in the world?
  8. Checking his post history, no it appears he's only posted in this thread. But hey, free country and all that. At least he's not one of the many bots that did/do sign up here. If all he wants to do is shill his magazine, who are we to judge? Besides, the times I checked it it's a good magazine.
  9. I'm thrilled to see Swann winning the first round, glad to see him being his wacky dancing self. I've heard a bit about Noam Dar but have not seen any matches. I'm hoping he has better matches in him because aside from the submission this wasn't a good match. Bryan's love for Jack came across as so authentic that you just wanted to say "I know, right?" His enthusiasm is so infectious, especially for the way Jack got out of holds. I like Sabre Jr. just fine, but admit that Jack does it much better. And unlike Zack's first round match, the opponent had plenty of chances to shine with Fabian did. Fun, fun match and I'm hoping to see a lot more from both guys. And the main event told a helluva story, loved that match. Ciampa was the one driving the story home, but Gargano held his own. Great show, can't wait for round 2.
  10. I have these DVRed, but if you wouldn't mind a little primer on the trilogy would be appreciated. How good is the action and story, and is there a standout among the three? Thanks in advance.
  11. If we're going that route, I'd say Sami would be Skeeter and Bayley would be Patti Mayonnaise.
  12. I swear I didn't see that post, I wasn't near it at all when I posted. So imagine my dismay when I do go to the general thread. So due to that might as well edit that so I can bring up something else.
  13. Since Evolve talked about a possible Slater run if not for Smackdown, I can't help but wonder who he'd go against. The thought of him and Galloway reuniting would have been so, so awesome. I'm hoping he loses so he ends up doing this anyway.
  14. Yeah, it seemed they had quite the genuine friendship which was nice. And going by Twitter it sounds they still think tremendously high of each other. As for WCW in '01, the comparison to TNA now isn't that far off. When all else fails, put on good wrestling and hope for the best. Hopefully TNA can get out of the financial shithole they're in as the shows this year mostly have been pretty good. I went from hate-watching to actually liking it a good bit. Then again, I was hoping for a similar thing with WCW and that didn't pan out.
  15. My bad, should have read that a bit better. Basically, he's scrapping the After Dark site and bringing it back to the F4D site. However, it doesn't appear there's going to be free as you'd need to be a subscriber. If you do Twitter you might want to tweet him asking about a free option. But other than that for free it's streaming only. If i find out anything different I'll let you know.
  16. That moved to a different site. http://darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/shows/after-dark-radio/ And if you like Karl Stern he has a show called Dragon King Dark that's on the site as well.
  17. Raw was pretty damn good, I'm liking the quasi-reset button being pushed and most of the stuff is making sense. Even the Golden Truth thing has a point to it, though it is weird seeing Pokemon Go of all things used to drive a story forward. I laughed and laughed and laughed at the $1,000 line, that shit was gold. Braun squashes are going to be my new favorite thing if they aren't already. Also really loved Nia's squash, she's going to be a big star. Pushed right she'll really matter to the division, and she has a chance to attract a segment of women who love that's she's plus-sized and more importantly different.
  18. I somehow managed to get up to number 79 when I saw Chyna's name. God bless her, I miss her time in WWF, but seeing her 11 spots above Nakamura did me in. I came dangerously close to laughing like mad at work so it's best to read this while on break. But holy bats this list sucks donkey balls!
  19. I'm baffled because I thought the fanbase would have been all over this. It could be possible they have more available than they did in previous years. But hey, can't go wrong saving $20.
  20. It's a great article and I like how it described Akira in a really special way. But I imagine there was more to her than just fighting through horrible injuries, she sounded like a fantastic wrestler. I'm hoping that Sasha doesn't feel the need to kill herself for the sake of women's wrestling, but there's worse people to be compared to.
  21. Damn, talk about not wasting time. And considering how much you guys have been hyping it up on the podcast I'm excited to see what they bring.
  22. I'm a fan of ZSJ but agree that he was too "cute" for his own good. He made Dux look mostly like a chump which I'm not too keen on. The whole "Look at me, I can do this hold and this hold too!" can be annoying. When he's in competitive matches it balances out to a degree, so hopefully things will ramp up with the later rounds. And I'm sure after going through PC he'll drop the annoying/nonsensical elements and actually make things matter. At least I'm hoping. But I was loving every bit of Bryan freaking out over the guy, it's obvious he's a fan of Zack. Gulak looked pretty good and I loved everything about the commentary for how the ankle was trapped. It's not like anything we heard before, and Bryan was the man for bringing that up. Neese looked super impressive and I'd love to see him as a midcarder on the main roster. And I had no clue who Mendoza was, but he sure did impress me. Would be interested to check out more.
  23. So, so many gifable moments from Nakamura's time on NXT last night. What an amazing man he is.
  24. Looking at who follows @BankonBoss it's mainly fan and fake accounts. That, and unlike the real deal it's not verified. I'm heavily leaning towards creepy person posing as Sasha, except a lot of people got duped. I'll never understand these idiots that create fake accounts, it's sad really.
