This was apparently a thing, a 30 minute VHS release trying to use clips from The Main Event to liken these guys to New Kids on the Block.

Look, this isn't that big of a mess. I think most of us could storyboard how this could or should work out with a couple of hours, and we're not getting paid millions of dollars or whatever. It's not rocket science. It's comic book character management. Marvel's publishing wing has something like 3 events a year they have to correspond over 40 titles. This is infinitely simpler than that.

From what has been bandied around, one thought is that not all the characters will be in Avengers 3. Some could end up in a big Guardians finale I suppose.

No, but on average he's better. He's pretty good at telling stories that are good if you ignore all backstory. Millar's pretty terrible even if you ignore all backstory. Neither are good in a shared universe.

I'm catching up on Arrow. We're 17 or so episodes into Season 2 now that it hit netflix and I wanted to go back through the thread to see what people thought of the Suicide Squad episode and my god is this thing ever painful to binge through.

I like how they've hit the point where they're putting a match together because they don't really have anything to do with Orton. They can't even contrive a feud over a japanese shampoo commercial.

I think comics would be so much better if we never had Frank Miller. He inspired so much doom and gloom and "realism," and the original work isn't good enough to be worth all the stuff he inspired.

Which is funny because when I was really loving DC in 2003 it was because it was the new Marvel.

In a world of quarterly profits, I could kind of see Sony making a terrible long term move. At the same time, I don't really want Spider-Man in the MCU. One of my favorite things about it is that it's so Avengers centric. I like Spider-Man but I wouldn't want him to become the primary focus. There's something to the logic that If they have Spider-Man, something like Guardians which I'd much rather see than Spider-Man doesn't happen.

Hurricane was so frustrating in 09. I liked the idea of the Burchill feud and that was at the heart of WWE PG when Hurricane should have been a great way to print money with the kids, but he was just a shell of his previous self.
