Finally cracked open Shadows of Mordor. The controls are better than I had hoped, and not nearly so button-mashing as I'd feared. Within an hour or so I'd managed a couple of side missions and died twice.

The AC died yesterday. Mom's health issues make this a huge problem, so we're calling local person and praying. Then, of course, I get to panic over wondering how the hell we're supposed to even pay for repairs.

I saw that and realized I haven't picked up Heart of the Swarm yet. I may just wait until the Battle Chest edition comes out and pay the $39.99 for everything. ;-)

I was not a Nintendo person (never had any of the consoles), but I cannot deny his affect on the gaming industry. Condolances to his family and friends. Is bile-duct growth a way to say mouth cancer? -
It's HIPAA. And violations are serious business. The one guy on Twitter who broke the story with info from his friend, well, that friend will be in deep doodoo. The hospital itself can be in big trouble too. I saw someone say this: If JPP never plays another game in his life he'll be OK, because he will own every cent that hospital and those guys ever made and will ever make.

BioWare has announced that any future DLCs for Dragon Age Inquisition will not be available for PS3 and XBox360. On the one hand, I can see why, because even the main game on the lower systems are buggy pieces of shite. On the other hand, people who can't afford to upgrade will be screwed until they can.

Path of Exile finally adds a new act in 9 days and I may just have to get back into it then.

Started up Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, got through the introduction and the saddest line in KH history. Also, with the announcement of an expansion for Pillars of the Earth, I really should give that one more try. I can't seem to pick a class I like.

All I want are updated graphics, a better translation of the original Japanese script (IMO it suffers from the weird word choices that make the original FF Tactics nearly incomprehensible), and making Vincent and Yuffie not be optional., That's it. I want the same story, same people, same weirdness, same crazy openword stuff, same Legendary Weapons, etc.

I loved the concept and what they showed of No Man's Sky last year. I'm hoping it'll come out eventually. My reaction to the FF VII remake is basically this: (spoiiler: I'm each of the guys all at once, I am not the calm woman)

It's also about 2 years too late for the MMO push. Those of us who play them are already deep into the ones we love. Those who don't wouldn't play this anyways.

Jaws of Hakkon is better than several areas in the main game, with a good story and the trademark BioWare "Oh, is this your heart? Sorry, we just crushed it to pieces and laughed while drinking your tears" twist. But it is hard, much harder than the rest of the game, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

That's it for the moment. BioWare promises that there's still more. We'll see. I'm'a put some thoughts under a spoiler tag just in case.

The people are thirteen years old. True console gaming requires a comfy couch, snacks, and a murderous mindset.And being interrupted by phone calls while playing. Don't forget the Jehovah's Witnesses at the door... Its almost summertime, when JT might answer the door only in a pair of shorts. *bow chikka wow wow* ....I am not seeing a problem here. Er, wait, back on topic. ;-) Jaws of Hakkon is a gorgeous addition to Dragon Age: Inquisition. It is also MUCH harder than the main game, as promised by the devs. I mean, they put out shiny loot piles in a remote location, then as soon as you touch them, 4 level 30 Despair Demons spawn.

I was really surprised that WB had Turbine make this for them, considering Turbine had not done anything but MMOs to that point.

I tend to pick Redguards when I want a tank melee no frills warrior type, because they get the good bonuses. Just keep kicking ass, you'll be fine. ;-)

I have no idea why the Texans would be the favorite over the Redskins. I mean, obviously the Redskins is going to be the better one to watch. What kind of drama do the Texans even have? A QB battle between Ryan Mallet and Brian Hoyer? There's always the "Will Clowney hurt himself walking to the bank or to the car" watch.

Having never played a MOBA, I was worried about the community, but the folks in the couple of matches I've managed were decent types. I admit, they see "JL Sigman" and I leave it at that, so I may be not seeing stuff someone with "JennSigman" would see. But when I explained after dying for the third time that I was new, they did not immediately tear me down, so that's a plus. I don't know that I'll actually play much of it, but it might be fun every once in a while.
