  1. I wonder if any match with these three made tape. Or just happened at all.
  2. Guys, there's only five more days in the month. Please. Personally I think it would be even funnier if Brock was the last guy in the Rumble and everyone just jumps over the top rope and eliminates themselves.
  3. On @Midnight wrestling just came up again, because Ron Funches. He threw up a Too Sweet to his fellow Bullet Club members the Bucks (yes, he actually said "the Bullet Club", and "Nick and Matt Jackson"), they showed the Rockers rapping, had a ridiculous promo by some toothless dude that I believe Funches identified but I didn't catch it, and an intro from NWA Mountain State which was the most indie thing ever including two guys that were clearly two yarders in t-shirts and a "luchador" as skinny as Cheeseburger. I laughed like a maniac.
  4. While I'm thinking about it I also gotta give a shout out to Bobby Heenan's first book. That thing is infinitely re-readable just for him being him, as you would imagine in real life on the page. And all the love for Andre, Gorilla, and Wally Karbo. If I had to rate I'd go 1. Terry Funk 2. Gary Hart 3. Calgary (fucking fantastic) 4. first Bobby 5. first Foley Take in mind I haven't read JJ's, Watts', Holly's, or (again) Hooker. Thinking about that, Verne Gagne would have had a hell of a book/shoot interview.
  5. Just have Cueto do the same "I want the best competition for my temple so I signed this guy from Britain" deal. It writes itself. Also, I totally forgot about the Marty/Sexy thing. Skeleton humping... well, that would work for him being such a creep.
  6. Only caught the main but it was perfectly acceptable, full of counter wrestling to vary up the formula (which Booker actually mentioned on commentary!) mixed with Dean's brawling. And some good counters at that plus Dean busting out a toprope gutwrench suplex and a fisherman's suplex to boot. They changed the end up from the spoilers though. I also caught the backstage thing with the Dudleys and poor Renee looked crowded when PTP showed up. Another thought after today's WOTD: they should get rid of the Dudleys and just hire Da Hit Squad. As long as Dan Maff can do a safe Burning Hammer, WWE style.
  7. Heh, I might be one of the only that doesn't, my Facebook (which is the same name as here) tells it all But enough about me. I want to know where Dario Cueto's safe house was and if Pentagon Jr. is finally gonna send Sexy Star back to AAA for good.
  8. pretty prETTY PRETTY EDIT: I want to make it publicly clear that I am not a gas-huffing, pill-popping, sadomasochistic gangster. Just in case any of you have, you know, questions.
  9. That Valentine quote is totally his Jules from Pulp Fiction bible quote. You hear that, that's yo ass.
  10. Why am I seeing this three days after the fact?! I'm on this board all the goddamn time. Anyway that news has me looking and feeling like this
  11. What they should do is have whoever wins between Cesaro and Ambrose has to immediately face Owens, and Cesaro wins the whole thing.
  12. That was quite the spectacle. I must've yelled out loud at least three times in that match, usually something prefaced by "FUCKING". And then among the screencaps on display afterwards were Wahoo McDaniel holding up his index finger and Dennis Hopper smiling. That pretty much sums it up.
  13. What's funny about Ring of Hell is all the stuff in Jericho's second book matching it, so you totally know he was a source. EDIT: Might've been some stuff from the first book too. All I remember is there were some recollections which were identical.
  14. Do the world a favor. Watch that Barista trailer and then go kick a hipster in the teeth.
  15. Looks like it's up on Youtube so, not to speak for Fowler, but I imagine so. Still, even I don't have it on DVD (never even seen it) and my collection of horror films is ridiculous. That's probably because I never picked up one of the many many Evil Dead reissues since I always had it on VHS. EDIT: Also, don't reveal your hand so quick, dammit!
  16. In of course. I think I have my pick already.
  17. YES. Stage Fright is one of the best slashers/giallos. Who wouldn't want to watch a guy with a giant owl head sawing up irritating and pretentious stage actors? The inventiveness of his films was fantastic; Cemetery Man alone deserves him a mark in history as a genius director. Martin Scorcese of all people called it one of the best Italian films of the '90s. The problem is that, according to Wiki, he stopped directing to care for his ailing son for awhile, and besides that, the Italian film industry tanked for whatever reason after the mid-'90s. At least that's what I hope it adds up to as someone as good as him doesn't deserve to be stuck in TV hell. EDIT: Apparently he's tried to get at least two projects off the ground, including a sequel to Cemetery Man, but these were in '08 and '11. I'm blaming Berlusconi.
  18. Who? You mean Bring Strawberries? I'm gonna be so sad to have to watch this Raw en Espanol on NBC Universo.
  19. I think it was the third or fourth I ever owned; my folks bought me the CD for Xmas. Why I STILL DON'T have it on vinyl is a complete mystery to me. Hell, the other day I was gonna splurge and buy some obscenely priced reissue of it at my friend's record store, just because he's closing up shop, but it was already sold.
  20. Yeah it was way better than Kill the Irishman or certainly The Iceman, which was a pretty big disappointment for me. Humanizing Michael Shannon in that was the dumbest thing in the world if you've ever watched the HBO documentaries on the dude.
  21. Damn time flies, The Departed came out in 2006?!
  22. Hey now, I only gargle Jack Daniels with the people most appropriate to gargling Jack Daniels with. Which means Mr. Perfect is absolutely on my list. Also, I can almost 100% that Bryan is not a smoker, maybe just a "once every 6 months" guy. Then again, smokers can be deceptive...
