More '80s lucha not on the '80s lucha set showing up on the Youtubes
-
I found another hidden piece of the puzzle here. Somebody watch it and let me know how it is; I'm done with Youtube until the 23rd when my net time turns over.
-
El Abuelo is okay, the sunglasses and nightcap motif is humorous. The other one looks just about as scary as Espectro Jr.'s.
-
At some point I should revisit it and see if it makes me feel the same. At the time (same time frame only I wasn't in the building like you were) it was awesome because it felt really different and epic in a way, I had never seen a match like that. Given how it ended up, and the fact that Bret didn't even want it on his DVD set, I'm leaning towards your reaction being similar to mine if I ever see it again.

That Negro interview was fantastic and I have ran out of likes for the day so here is Fredo's.
-
Okay, I'm with you on that. The only other Iron Man match I can remember liking myself is Bret/Shawn and I haven't seen that since I was a kid. The important thing is 1. Everyone should watch LU on Wednesday 2. Everyone should watch Steamboat/Rude

Man, Mulligan was a beast. Andre looks to be only half a head taller. It's like watching Hansen/Andre where you realize just how massive Stan was. Also, I never want to see that old man mask again, that creeps me the fuck out.

Thanks Owens Thanks. SHIT! "POSEURS MUST DIE" indeed! I love the backshot because it makes it look like Owens dropped him off a cliff.

[Remedial Wrestling] #1: Misawa/Kawada and Friends
Curt McGirt replied to Matt D's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Given the footage we have now it should be a great introduction to heated '80s lucha with a strong rudo presence, thematically, but people don't cotton to lucha for whatever reason EDIT: In other words, if you liked Holy Demon Army vs. the All Japan golden boys then watch this and compare and contrast. It's something I might do today at some point myself just for fun. As of right now it's too damn late. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zidIDa2LpXA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTC4zVryIUY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZDtc5ergRo Now THAT'S "Remedial Wrestling"! Know or just fuck off. -
This is a little conventional of me but Pete brought it up and I had to dig it up from the WWE Ladder Match set. Features some of the best Jim Ross calls of all time, Jeff Hardy trying to be both Sabu and Ricky Morton in one match, and Taker at his absolute best. The thousand-yard stare he had at the end was either fantastic selling or a legit concussion. I don't even want to know what Jeff felt at the end when he was clutching his wrist. "YOU HAVEN'T BROKEN ME TAKER"

Dolph needs to quit buying his his jackets off of Etsy. POSEURS MUST DIE

That praise is too high to believe. C'mon, man. Damn near anything touches Steamboat/Rude. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xkn5ci_rick-rude-vs-ricky-steamboat-iron-man_sport EDIT: For reference after Wednesday

Got home in time to turn on the last ten minutes and see Hunter and Steph in the ring. Yuck. Already a horrible day at work, this isn't gonna help... then... then... I seriously busted out a Paul Bearer "YESSSSS YESSSSS OHHHHHH YESSSS!" The crazy eyes as Lesnar stalked around the ring, Rollins not making eye contact, then visibly trembling before the bail. It's not as good as chair-throwing or hardway blood, but it made me feel a whole hell of a lot better. And the coal/diamond analogy from HHH was actually pretty cool.

I so love that JR quote. Might have to watch Hardy/Taker tonight, matter of fact.

Rest in Peace to the legend, Dusty Rhodes
Curt McGirt replied to supremebve's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I think a lot of the anti-Dusty stuff stemmed from people reading Flair's book, where he pretty much went after him. In retrospect I think all parties involved would say that bygones should be bygones. As Dusty himself said "if you don't have an ego you shouldn't be in this business" and that's what it all boiled down to. -
Oh that fucker is now officially the American Dream, and I'm making one ASAP. I love bomb pops almost as much as I love vodka.
-
If we could do blood in WWE again, I'd love for Ambrose or Wyatt to have a Stairway to Hell match. That's probably the stip Zakk was talking about above.
-
I caught the last two eps of Orange Is the New Black at a friend's the other night (he was binge watching. 19 hours, goddamn!). It was, well, kind of uneventful. There was one big feel-good moment at the very end that is probably gonna end up with a very eventful beginning to the next season, though.

Daaaaaaaaamn. That looks terrifying.

One of the main things I'll miss from WCW is that nobody ever talks to the camera.

2015 RING OF HONOR DISCUSSION THREAD
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Goddamn Naito as a goofy rudo is so much better than anything else he does. He was cracking me up with his expressions tonight. The match itself was really indy-tastic and had a lot of botches but it was entertaining as hell. I'm gonna sound like an asshole asking this but did Veda get implants? Still... woof. -
Expected this so I held back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yII7XVb4IxE

I forgot about this, but I've gotten in the habit of calling my dachshund "Big Bubber". -
