  1. i loved that Halftime Heat match. well, until we got that closeup of the Rock ("forklift cam" is a perfect name for it) and it looked fake as hell. everyone i was watching with was into the match until that moment and it ruined the finish.
  2. my target hasn't received Rosalina yet. they're not sure if or when they will. fun times!
  3. i looked it up after you posted this. apparently the storyline continues in the Azrael series, it's just not branded as "No Man's Land", thus i haven't gotten that far. guess i'll have to check that out next. i've got nothing against the character, in face i'm interested in learning more. but she (and her father) just seemed to pop out of nowhere with no backstory and everybody had to just accept it immediately. just a really weird way to introduce a new legacy character.
  4. i found this main event one hell of a five round fight. diaz was completely clowning Silva during the first, which i figure led him to winning that round. after that, you can see Silva slowly start to dominate but never really press the action. my eyeballs were glued to the TV for the entire fight, always anticipating what was about to happen. this was a hell of a card overall (with the Gastelum/Woodley exception. that fight sucked ballsack). every single fight held something entertaining. lots of underdogs pulled off the upset. and i won a little bit of money, so no complaints here.
  5. so i watched See No Evil 2 the other day. good lord, what a piece of crap that was. i enjoyed the first one way more than i expected to, so that earned the sequel a viewing. but bad acting, bad script, bad layout. plus there weren't many gory death scenes. a lot of them happened off-camera. yikes. count me out if they make a third.
  6. so i just read the entirety of "No Man's Land" and i gotta say, overall i liked it. it is such a good concept. impossible, but good. after the first third, i felt it started to drag, but by the time i got to the final third, i was fully invested again. what i liked: the opening salvo with Azrael chasing Nick Scratch the gang elements with the super villains' "zones" and with the tagging was a really cool idea Huntress as Batgirl worked surprisingly well what happened to Jim Gordon's wife was a gut punch. i had no idea that was about to happen what i didn't: no punishment/payoff to the Nicholas Scratch storyline no buildup to Cassandra Cain's debut. her father and her both debut in the same issue, and she's the new batgirl extremely shortly after. didn't feel organic
  7. some of them did, and in some stores. there's no hard street date on amiibos, so stores are able to sell them as the please. for some, that means as soon as they get them, and for others, it means something else. but it varies store-to-store as well as chain-to-chain, so you never really know. i guess Rosalina (the target exclusive) is in Sunday's Target ad, and all stores are supposed to have them in stock. i assume that means that more wave 3 figures will be available as well. we'll see. edit: according to brickseek, the 18 target stores it lists have a combined ZERO rosalinas in stock as of right now. wow. that is 100 miles in every direction.
  8. i assume you mean SS 2005. SS95 had HBK/Razor's 2nd ladder match, which is pretty damn good. i still don't understand the hate for Hogan/Michaels. Hogan was a dick and refused to lose, HBK was also a dick and just over sold anything. but since Hogan couldn't sell anything, it really balances out. a fun romp but nowhere near a classic that some people (for no valid reason) thought it would be. Kennel from Hell is on Unforgiven '99
  9. Mega Man and Sonic are later in the month. i wanna say 2/20, but who the hell really knows anyway? it's not like these are on some strict street date. some stores sell them as soon as they get them, some hold some back, and some (like the ones in my town) just plain never get them in. as of yesterday, my local Target had not received any Rosalinas.
  10. is there any Villano II here? i see 1, 3, 4, & 5. i'm not up on my lucha, so someone please link me to a 2 match.
  11. i called every place in town yesterday. if i'm after Mario or Peach, i have lots of options. Everybody confirmed they hadn't ever seen a Captain Falcon or Pit in stock. A couple people mentioned that Wave 3 comes out 2/1, but nobody had received anything yet. this town sucks.
  12. Umaga was amazing at smashing jobbers. after reading on Wikipedia, i don't recall any specifics in his feuds before the Cena one (Flair, Kane). that doesn't bode well for him, but at the time i enjoyed what i saw of him. so he gets a pass (at least in my eyes).
  13. was surprised to see Pokrajac released. Until i looked it up and found out he has 5 losses in a row. Rodrigo Damm is also finished with UFC.
  14. I defy you to find SE7EN others. this is how i interpreted this post.
  15. first match that came to my mind was Bret Hart vs Pierre Oulette. now don't get me wrong, i love the Quebecers and even their lowcard run in WCW as the Amazing French-Canadians, but i don't think most people expected anything out of this match and it ended up being a fantastic little ditty.
  16. could very well have been a "well we let stopped two of them quick and are getting flack for it, i better let this one play out..." kinda thing
  17. i thought it was a great event. missed the early part of the preshow tag match, but liked what i saw. all of my friends (and seemingly everyone here) hate on the Ascention, so i'm backing them 100% and hope they get a top run. the match itself was mediocre but entirely servicable. divas tag was better than i expected. triple threat was awesome. had a couple network hiccups in the middle part, but it wasn't anything that made me feel like we were missing out. after Cena AA'd the security dudes and Rollins i legit thought that was the end. Brock rolling back in and just BROCK'ing everything in sight was a fantastic finish. the Rumble was a ton of fun. Bray looked good. Kofi's not-elimination with Adam Rose's group was funny. DDP diamondcutting everyone was tits. there was a ton of really good stuff right there. and then Bryan got eliminated. now that, in itself, wasn't terrible. but after that, they filled the ring with all of the big powerhouses and nothing too interesting happened after that. Mizdow was good stuff tho. Ambrose (#25 was my draw) i seriously thought was gonna be the surprise winner. once he was out, the crowd was totally against it. the fake out with Rusev could've been interesting, but they did the least imaginative thing possible with it. overall: look, when your Royal Rumble winner is getting SHIT ON by the crowd, and even the ROCK can't save him, you've made the wrong choice.
  18. so i watched Birdman tonight. i thought it was tremendous. everything was very different than what i expected, and it all delivered. highly recommended.
  19. i'm up to seven Amiibos. i finally gave up on only finding them in stores, as no store in town has yet received Captain Falcon, Pit, or Little Mac from wave 2. but i refuse to pay more than retail price (+shipping) so i haven't ordered any off Amazon yet. did preorder Sonic thru Amazon the other day, so i have that going for me. Falcon and Mega Man are my most wanteds.
  20. you know, that's not the worst theory i've ever heard....
  21. Evolution-era Triple H is the worst. everything before that was decent-good-great, and he seems to be good creatively when he's not centering angles on himself.
  22. i'm jonesing for some more info on "Mario Maker". release date, price, online capabilities, all that jazz.
  23. i liked the mini game but i'm not sure i really care about a full version of it.
  24. i can't decide if this the the best or worst comparison ever.
