    yeah, i made a post about how dark/depressing the Mutant Massacre is. if i had read that at 7 years old i would've been scarred. and yeah, i read the Longshot mini. not really a fan. i'm trying to read everything. did the same with Batman a few years back.

    Eivion, i am reading all the X-Men comics also. started like 18 months ago, i am reading the entirety of Uncanny, Excalibur, New Mutants, X Factor, and Wolverine right now. with your latest post, you finally passed the point that i am at. it's been fun seeing your reactions basically mirror mine. wish i had some suggestions as to what is next for you.

    seems like awfully high expectations. i don't follow the buyrate game too closely, but i'd expect it to top out around 135k. 150k wouldn't surprise me, but anything over that has to be considered a win (not taking into account the payroll for this event).

    Return of the Caped Crusaders is fantastic. the best parts of the 60s show, told with modern sensibilities. personally, i'm still waiting for the '90s Spider-Man animated series to get the dvd treatment.

    meh, the BTILC comic chugged along and was ok. I'll check this out, but my hopes are mediocre.

    love that on a card with THREE title fights, Chael Sonnen vs Wanderlei is the main event. all that aside, this looks like a good card. will be watching.

    i got a day of peace and quiet. i filled it by watching some wrestling. it was glorious.

    I've watched tons of benoit matches the last few years....I'm rewatching the entirety of the monday night wars in real time. it reminds me of why benoit was one of the best in the world at that point. that said, everything that went down 10 years ago was horrific. i probably will never understand how something like that can happe. just absolutely bizarre and terrifying. wasn't benoit's surviving son getting in to pro wrestling? that dude's got a tough career in front of him.

    i hope Mauro can still commentate for Rizin. I'm not a huge fan of the guy but nobody else has been impressive there either. he adds the Pride legitimacy at least.

    so sad. adam west as batman was my introduction to the character and began a lifelong love. as mentioned, his guest roles on batman TAS were highlights on an already fantastic show. guess we'll catch him on the other side. same bat-time, same bat-channel.

    i've been thinking about putting together a Liger in America video collection. i mean, i'm really lazy, so probably never will, but i've been thinking about it. He's worked for so many US promotions it would have to be filled with hidden gems, right? i look forward to following your columns on this.

    finally finished Iron Fist. man, not a fan of this one. it started out promising enough, but every twist and turn is obvious ten miles away. The Ep 10 reveal (discussed earlier) is the only one that caught me off guard, but that was more in a "wait, what?" kinda way than anything. the martial arts fights were not good at all. Danny gets beat up by everyone from security to regular thugs before turning it around with one of those corkscrew kicks. every. damn. time. Plus, he never even uses his iron fist to punch somebody. i'm not even putting that in spoilers. NOBODY GETS PUNCHED WITH THE IRON FIST. Danny is a complete jerk to everybody that tries to help him, unless it's obvious that these people will turn on him, which of course are the only people he trusts.

    Holloway has been on a god damn tear. I'm not sure what the betting odds are, but i think they should be awfully close. Aldo is on a whole nother level most of the time, and i think he takes this one, but Max definitely has the tools to get the win. Claudia-Karolina i'm really excited to see. Karolina has only been in the ufc for a year and a half, but she has definitely become one of my favorite female fighters. Thinking along the same lines, in that she wins by taking the back half of the fight. Should be a barnburner. And Moraes is what i am the most pumped for. He was the biggest shining spot in WSOF for me. Assuncao is no pushover, and i think this will be a solid matchup. Will Moraes' striking skills carry over to the UFC? i certainly hope so, i can't wait to find out tomorrow. Silva-Medeiros should be a fun opener to the PPV portion. Neither guy really has lived up to the promise of their potential, but they are both solid and entertaining fighters.

    i thought Wanted was just barely "good enough". it wasn't really that great, but i thought the concept was pretty cool so it worked for me. Kick-Ass was decent. Only read the first series, but i didn't hate it. I really dug Millar's "Nemesis" mini tho. most people hate it, but i quite enjoyed it.

    love that series and backed the KS a couple weeks ago. i agree that it's not looking promising, but i can dream....

    i am at 66.5 hours of play. 71 shrines and two divine beasts down. still loving this game.
