  1. Apropos of nothing, we were at my mom's over the weekend helping her catalog family photos to scan in at a later date. One of the things I found was an old Chicago Times article on the shooting death of my great-aunt's brother. Spotted at the scene: JAKE GUZIK.
  2. Tried to register and the connection farted out. Not off to the greatest start here...
  3. Can you even fathom the suck heat if they ran ADR/Batista directly after the six-man?
  4. Spent Saturday afternoon at my mom's looking at tons of old photos to scan down the line. There's a bunch of awesome stuff that I will endeavor to post here at a later date, but one in particular stood out: my beloved bubbe with Miss World USA 1972. WONDER WOMAN, BITCHES!
  5. Bradley's new mascot, Kaboom the Gargoyle! I'm actually okay with this.
  6. This would've been a fun match on Raw in 1995 or whatever. I can picture Cornette stooging big time for this as his charges throw down on each other.
  7. Maybe my favorite match of all time. 10 times your daily recommended amount of AWESOME. Kikuchi as a Rising Sun Ricky Morton, Kroffat the magnificent bastard (20:30 for his "that's right, we bad" strut) and the most volcanic crowd ever. When God comes down to pass judgement on us, this match will be my offering to Him.
  8. Someone explain why Sara Del Ray isn't on our TVs on a weekly basis again?
  9. Everyone is sleeping on the Chacales/Guapos and especially the Infernales. EDIT: I now have "Backstreet's Back" stuck in my head. I blame myself.
  10. "Alberto Dos Rios" working for CMLI (not the Consejo but an incredible simulation) is soooo awesomely carny.
  11. If you wear pants like that you deserve to lose a few friends "Hope his shoes are waterproof because those pants are pissers." (my Dad's old joke)
  12. Dreamer's shriek of agony after Lawler caned him DOWN THERE still chills me to the bone every time I hear it. In retrospect it's a miracle he could perform any husbandly duties with Beulah, much less have two kids.
  13. Good win for Dnipro, but they shouldn't get complacent yet. Need to take everything Juande at a time...
  14. Peterson died back in the early 90s. Motorcycle crash IMSMR.
  15. Not even. That may have been the worst penalty ever. Neuer didn't bite on the slow run up, committed and then stopped mid dive, tied his shoes, reached up and gently batted the shot away. When it comes to bad penalties, I remember this one: Cardiff City vs. Leicester City in the 2010 Championship Semi-Final second leg. I remember the Leicester players consolling the other Leicester player who missed a penality but nobody went to Kermorgant. Always remember that for the Cardiff keeper going the wrong way yet still having the time to reach out and boop it away.
  16. Was tempted to do that too, but I picture YOUNG LIONS Gilbert and Hennig pulling the upset over them. It'd be a fun tag match to open a 1982 MSG house show.
  17. I could see Bruiser/Crusher vs Ladd/Brody tearing down the house in Indianapolis. Figuratively and quite possibly literally.
  18. Roberts/Angel vs JYD/Colonel Buck would've been a fun MSW feud. I could see them trading the Louisiana tag belts a handful of times.
  19. I'm picturing Brusier Brody with a beret and a loaf of bread.
  20. Heh. I'm old and I remember when the VFL (I still call it the VFL) was the first pro league ESPN had access to... when WCE came into existence it was so cool finally having a club to root for without 100 years of backstory or whatever.
  21. Hokey smokes, when was that from?
  22. I predict this will be our most depressing tourney ever. EDIT: Pretty sure Jerry Brown is still alive...
