  1. There's getting on nerves and getting to the end of the wick. Alf Garnett said a lot of things on TV we shouldn't say.
  2. This is probably slightly different from what you're asking but oh well... when the attitude era came around I noticed more and more kids my age were getting into wrestling and would openly talk about it. Whereas I'd been around since hulkamania and my dad knew a big wrestling fan at work who would give me all his powerslam magazines after he'd read them. Anyway, the shit I would hear at school. One guy heard I was a wrestling fan and decided to spend a good 10 minutes explaining that Vince didn't own WWF, that was all for show, in fact Hulk Hogan owned it, despite being in WCW at the time. Everybody's heard the "3 ultimate warriors" thing as a rumour, but when a guy who's been interested in wrestling for 5 minutes is telling you for a FACT he kept dying, it gets a bit tiresome. Simply because you can't reason with them. "No, its one guy called Jim". "No, dude. That's just the current one" "ok" then when Owen died they said they knew people on the inside and Owen was just talking time off.
  3. Yeah pretty sure we had a game last gen, but maybe I have since mistook your psn for one of the shlubbs I had to delete off my FIFA team. If you were also one of those shlubbs then I apologise. (theharmonway)
  4. Ive moved on to PS4 finally and it's changed quite a lot. It's hard to process all the new stuff at once. I've got around $2m in the bank and I don't know if I should invest in one of these business type deals or just run & gun with the crew.
  5. http://www.wwe.com/inside/mattel/gallery/early-look-mattel-exclusives-2017#fid-40089011 3 new retros revealed.
  6. Yeah I didn't realise until now. I know people find Haye very arrogant and cocky, but then I was a big Naz fan.
  7. I don't see that happening. I really can't stand Bellew and hope he gets knocked into next week.
  8. Some people are saying Brock interferes and costs Goldberg the title. That doesn't make (kayfabe) sense to me. With the match locked in for mania, why would Brock sabotage his own chance at winning the title back? If anything he'd make sure Goldberg wins it. If anybody interferes it'll be Jericho, maybe before the fight starts so Owens just rolls in, gets speared and jackhammered. But would they have interference to set up a mania match in both main events? If the Reigns/Taker match is to go ahead, it would make sense if Taker gets Reigns back for the rumble elimination. It would also mean Braun would go over and stay strong, instead of being booked like a monster for months only to job clean to Roman on a throwaway PPV.
  9. do y'all mean subtlety?
  10. Yeah, dude was crazy over too. My mate who doesn't know dick about the indies (even less than me) was chanting "JEFF! JEFF! JEFF!" granted, it's not the most complicated chant.
  11. I have a full set of wcw topps cards from 1992, all in good nic. But I'm not a collector, no idea what to do with them. But it is pretty sweet seeing a Diamond Studd. Wish his Galoob figure was made.

What a great show night 2 was. I was hooked. The crowd were going crazy for Bate and I was too. Marked like hell when he won. Dunno is awesome too, I saw him a few months back and he plays that role so well. Have to admit it blew that WoS show out the water. If they get a weekly show of their own I will watch, for sure. Really really good stuff.

Now that's a belt. Best one they've made in quite some time.
  14. I believe only the first wave of Series 1 (Brock, Cena, Owens, Roman) is Walmart-exclusive. The second wave (those 4 including 'taker and Warrior) will be available elsewhere late Jan. Also, Mattel's twitter confirmed that the exclusivity is US only and they will be available internationally later.
  15. It is on catch-up, I saw it a bit later than shown yesterday. Some things I liked, some things I didn't like. Not too keen on all the crowd shots and the editing. But it looks like wrestling is going that way. It looked like more of a game show than a wrestling show. Having said that, they put in some effort with the staging and everything was well lit. The commentary from JR was good, although Alex Shane is a bit annoying. The wrestling itself was ok. I don't think it really showed what we've got over here at the moment. But if this leads to more shows, I'm sure they'll get the hang of it. In terms of booking, it made sense. It was supposed to be a one-off, so telling a story throughout the show was the right thing to do. All in all I think they have a good thing going here. Let's be honest, what do ITV have going on these days? They have plenty of air time to run a 60-90 minute wrestling show each week. I'll give it a watch.
  16. Some packaging pics of the new retro (hasbro) style figs coming. (source: @craigtello)
  17. Gotta give Shane-O some credit for being able to rant and rave at Ambrose in the Mountie costume with a straight face. Silly backstage segments aren't usually my thing (unless it's Kurt and Austin), but D-Bry and Dean made me genuinely laugh when they were corpsing.
  18. They said Goldberg was the "first entrant" in the royal rumble. i guess that could be confusing.
  19. That head is from a bootleg figure supposedly using an unused Diesel mould from the scrapped Orange Card series.
