  1. I agree. I wanted him to have a run in 05 so bad, especially after he had a better match with Angle than Shawn did.
  2. I was at the Mavs/Bobcats game tonight. It was my first NBA game. If you've never been to one, you owe it to yourself. Such a fun experience, and it turned my non-basketball fan friend into a fan. She was googling Gal Mekel during the game thanks to the Israeli guys sitting in front of us lol. Dirk didn't play, which was disappointing, but Carter, Calderon and Marion all looked fantastic. Monta had a bad offensive game, but was awesome on D with 5 steals. Fab Melo and Ranaldo Balkman looked shockingly good for guys fighting for a contract. Fab hit a fadeaway jumper that actually made Dirk stand up in appreciation. I got to meet the Bobcats dancers. These girls are definitely blessed in the booty department. The Bobcats inexplicably left Kemba, Henderson and MKG in the game till the end, even though it was a double digit lead for Dallas.
  3. I can only hope Styles wins the title then declares "I've got THIS"!
  4. The first Resident Evil game definitely had better acting than most episodes of Impact.
  5. Hopefully the gameplay isn't a mess in the next gen version of 2K14 like it is on current gen. Visually, it's some of the most stunning footage I've seen in a videogame. The Harden and Davis models are incredible.
  6. Maybe he meant Turkoglu in 2001? He didn't :/
  7. Come on. She's perfectly decent-looking. Is she a model? No. Exceptionally pretty? Maybe not. But she's hardly some monster beast who can't leave the house without a mob of torch-wielding village folk swarming her and yelling "Kill it, kill it with fire!" Sure, two guys could be interested in her at the same time. It's not a stretch. Besides, the idea is that Bruce Wayne could have dated a model. He could have any woman he wanted. But he likes her because she's smart and cares about justice and all that. Plus she's a life-long friend. Bruce doesn't have many friends period, let alone many that close. People always forget that point. Rachel represented a link to when Bruce was happy, and she worked 18-hour days with Harvey. A childhood friend and a co-worker being interested in a woman, even if she's not the most beautiful creature? Hardly a stretch. And personally--when dolled up, Maggie G ain't bad looking. Her Agent Provacateur photo shoot was pretty hot. I'd take her over Katie Holmes. This. One of the biggest crushes I've ever had was with someone that alot of guys would pass on at first glance. But I saw her everyday, and anyone else that did also had a thing for her. It happens.
  8. So, you are trying to say that Jeff Hornacek was more beloved in Utah, than Dwight Howard was in Orlando? If you gave the Orlando fans the choice between having Dwight back or having anyone other than Shaq back, they would take Dwight 100 times out of 100. With that said, the way Dwight left was handled horribly, but he is still the 2nd best player in the history of the franchise, and probably the most loved. When he was there, sure. But how many fans do you think he has in Orlando right now? Hornacek could walk on the floor in Utah and get a hero's welcome. I really doubt Dwight would get the same treatment in Orlando.
  9. I loved Flair vs Arn at Fall Brawl. Had no idea people thought it was bad.
  10. And, as we've mentioned, try finding a show past about late 96 where he wasn't getting a reaction. Dude popped when he came out, popped for his offense, went crazy for his finish. I'm not sure where this "wrestled in a vacuum" shit comes from.
  11. Those guys never held their team hostage, got a coach and GM fired, then decided to leave anyway. It's not about quality of play, it's about what he meant to the team. Blackman, Majerle, and Hornacek were beloved players on their teams.
  12. I think it says alot that Dean was easily the most over cruiser on the roster. People forget that Rey went through a period of people not giving a shit about him for a while. Dean always got huge pops, and was able to translate that into a run against a few heavyweights like Jarrett.
  13. Oh, btw, Danny Granger hurt his hamstring early in the game with the Mavs tonight. Also, I love Monta Basketball™.
  14. I must have blanked because I totes missed the Slutty Pumpkin. I've been distracted :/
  15. I think most girls who's circle of friends is mostly male don't realize that they are all trying to sleep with her. So I'll give her a pass on having "ho tendencies", unless she's fully aware. Based on the ads, I don't think Wendy's girl is aware.
  16. Someone mentioned Rocky vs Network. I always felt like Rocky won, just because it's a borderline miracle that it's as good as it is, especially when you know the story of it's development. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think the Academy realized that Rocky was great in spite of itself.
  17. I didn't get a chance to post this last night, but the Dirk/Monta combo is going to give defenses hell. They are working incredibly well on the floor together, especially in a pick and roll situation.
  18. As I understand it, Vince thought his act was hilarious, so he brought him in. Same thing with Jameson.
  19. This is the only time I can say that JMM clearly wasn't robbed. I blame that on Beristain, honestly. He kept telling Marquez he had the fight won, when he clearly didn't. This isn't like the Pacquiao fights where he clearly outfought him, and lost a decision. Part of me wanted to call this Bradley's star making fight, but I can't upon further review. Yeah, he fought a great fight, but he was by no means dominant, even if he was the clear winner. There were alot of moments where I couldn't help but think that JMM from 5 years ago would have dropped him.
  20. Spot on. It's no secret that JMM is one of my all time favorites, but he really did look his age for most of the fight. Oddly enough, he got better in the later half, but I contribute that more to his smarts than anything else. He and Bradley were fighting the same fight, but Bradley was a half second quicker.
  21. I wouldn't say keep her on the sidelines in an insulting way, it's just that I'd rather be great at one thing than be ok at another. She's a damn good sideline reporter. I think she'll be good in the studio, definitely a step up from what they had, but there is something to be said for playing to your strengths.
