  1. Its not my type of game but it does look amazing. Love the art.
  2. People see what they want to see. His first stance was easy to disprove so he had to go in a new direction.
  3. It looked like that from the original angle, but from the second angle you can see that his helmet hit Mariota's helmet, you can see his head snap back. A lot of people online only saw the first angle and assumed it was much ado about nothing. He did hit his teammate too but first contact was to Mariota.
  4. I feel you. Unrelated but I had the same thought with Loot Crate and didn't renew my sub, after one of the toy subscription boxes recently went bankrupt. I try to just do things month to month now, it may cost a few extra dollars but I imagine trying to get a refund if a subscription fails or gets worse than promised is a pain in the ass.
  5. Sherman just had three penalties called on him on one play. That's special.
  6. They didn't have any timeouts. The theory is that with eight seconds, that isn't enough time for a team to get up to the line and clock the ball. Its a tough rule since it doesn't take into account if it is a three yard play or a 30 yard play, as that would factor in if the team would have time to clock it. So I guess they figured 10 seconds was fair, I am not sure what that rule could be that would be perfect. Its just a really unusual situation.
  7. After two somewhat calm weeks, things definitely went off the rails this week. Starting with the Thursday game, lots of close/weird/exciting conclusions so far.
  8. What a way to end the game. Poor Lions.
  9. That's what the Bills do. They always have a couple wins that surprise people which is why they are always in the 7-9 to 9-7 range. They aren't good. They aren't bad. They just.... are.
  10. I can't take Pico too seriously until he defeats an opponent that has a trainer and isn't "self taught." I know they needed to get him a win, I don't fault their business practice, but it didn't show me much. I don't doubt his boxing and wrestling abilities but they were careful not to give him someone that was good at submissions this time.
  11. Syuri won her UFC fight tonight. Really happy for her, don't know what this means for her future but she has stated before that fighting in UFC was her dream. Syuri is easily the most legit fighter in Joshi history, I don't think she gets enough credit for it as most of her wrestling career since becoming more full time was in smaller promotions like REINA so she was a bit under the radar for more casual viewers.
  12. The only reason I ever got these at launch before was for the collector's edition, but since the collector's edition kinda sucks this year I think I'll just wait until early 2018 when the price is down and the DLC is out. Still scratching my head at the price/contents of the collector's edition this year, I can't be the only person that only gets games at launch if I have a good incentive to. I admit I may be biased - I like Cena fine but not enough to want an "exclusive" plaque and action figure of his in my home. If it was someone else I may pay the $120 (with Best Buy discount) for it.
  13. The Dolphins calling a TO for no reason, then the poor rookie missing another game winning/tying kick was a fun way to end a game. Kickers are mentally frail, he's probably done.
  14. I like how they are saying Cam had an 'injured ankle' when we all saw him get kneed in the head and lay there not moving for several minutes. Carny gonna carny.
  15. Cam Newton just got sacked and was down for a few minutes as he got kneed in the head. Bills D is bringing it, course the offense isn't doing anything but at least their defense is trying.
  16. So glad they changed the focus from the last few years. Funny episode that was still topical without it being just about politics, which was so dominate last year and really brought down the season when they didn't know how to tie up their weird story. It just didn't feel like an entire episode setting up a future joke that may or may not deliver.
  17. That'll fix everything. Course I can't talk since the Bills did the same thing last year.
  18. Sareee announced she is leading SEAdLINNNG next month. Never really understood why she joined the "promotion" in the first place as it seems like somewhere you would just Freelance anyway. Speculation of course is that she is going to WWE since Regal was at a SEAdLINNNG event last spring. Which is definitely possible, she is a quality young wrestler that should be the type that WWE is interested in. Guess we'll find out next month.
  19. When did Dalton become literally the worst QB in the NFL? He was pretty good last year. Now he just looks confused.
  20. Is this a Loser Leaves The NFL match?
  21. That is used in baseball too, but personally I am not going to judge someone off assumptions. And while I am sure back in the 90s they were on stuff, the testing isn't new. I don't think most people still rank the Shamrocks or Royces in the 'best fighter's ever' list simply because MMA was so different back then, anyone in UFC in 2017 could walk onto any early UFC card and beat everyone on the show back to back all night with energy to spare.
  22. An article on mmafighting mentioned Jon Jones as being one of the best fighters ever. After all these suspensions, can that really still be said? I don't doubt his natural ability and skill at all, but he is about to be stripped of a title for the third time in three years and only has three official wins since 2014. I think he could go down as the biggest wasted opportunity for sure, but even though he was dominating in UFC from 2009 to 2014 I don't think its enough to put him on that level, especially not knowing what drugs he was on (I don't believe he never did steroids in his life and suddenly did last summer). Not sure how he will be viewed in ten years, assuming either he is done now or when he does fight again he isn't at the elite level anymore if he gets a four year suspension.
  23. I don't know if this is "the" answer, but since it has been left/right for so long due to filming limitations in the past, it may be too jolting to long time fans if they suddenly put it north/south. The technology is there now if they wanted to but I could see that leading to a lot of complaints. In the long run I think people would get used to it and it would be great, but the adjustment time and risk of annoying fans when their viewership is already decreasing is probably too big of a risk for the anti-risk NFL. Being able to watch the receivers/defense is my biggest joy of seeing games in person. You don't really think about how much you miss watching games on TV until you are there live and can actually see plays develop.
  24. I was just using that as an example, same could be said for most forms of technology. I just find something like the Switch more "special" than a cell phone that does the same basic things as the last version, just slightly faster with a few new tricks to justify paying $900 for it. Hell on my $60 cell phone I get great sound quality, can text, can play games, and watch movies. I admit it doesn't have the quality/speed/size of an iPhone but I don't think its enough of a jump to justify paying 1,500% more for it.
  25. I understand defenses, but even if it was just vanilla Cover 2 (which I doubt, since Gilmore was 15 yards downfield and still jogging after Hill when the pass was thrown), in Cover 2 the CB is supposed to bump/get his hands on the WR at the line to give the safety time to get in position and see the play unfolding, which Gilmore didn't do. It could have also been Cover 2 Man, in which case Gilmore would still be responsible for someone. If you watch the corner on the other side, he stayed with a WR and did not release him, implying he was in Man. Really it was just the right play call at the right time, I don't actually see it as bad as some do against Gilmore, but since Gilmore continued running after Hill the entire play (although not at full speed) he was at least somewhat aware that he should have been on him, he didn't stop in the flat. If Hill had hooked, which may have been Gilmore's assumption since Smith isn't known for deep throws, he would have been in perfect position. I think it was more an issue of Gilmore guessing wrong then him getting 'torched' as is being reported, sometimes CBs take a guess on what is coming and guess wrong.
