  1. Year starts off with a BOOM~! Fight of the Year nom a mere four days into 2016. What a fucking war! Naturally there will be a rematch because there will be money to be made even though one probably shouldn't happen. Condit fought his heart out but he lost, so he should make way for a new contender, maybe Maia or whomever wins a fight between MacDonald and Woodley. My scorecard had Condit winning that fight. Lawler had the more memorable shots that did the most visible damage but Condit was a busy fighter and I like busy fighters. Condit also has a chin like a rhino, so I felt that the "visible damage" was not a factor because Condit was still walking Lawler down and imposing his will aka this "aggression" thing that is supposed to factor into scoring but rarely does IMO..
  2. Piper said a lot of dumb things that really infuriated me, but I always respected him as a worker. Here is a bit of the match that put him on the map for me.
  3. I take pride in my new found proficiency at being able to quickscope dashing Strikers with Stillpiercer. Also, nothing stops Strikers in their tracks quite llke Smoke Bombs followed up by Vortex Grenades. I have found new PvP life in Sealed Ahamkara Grasps and the Zhalo. The Chain Lightning synergizes well with my Vortex Grenades and Smoke Bombs and the Refill Super & Ammo on Double Kills compliments the Nightmare Fuel perk which gives me bonus ammo when I do melee damage.... which for my Nightstaker is long range Envenomed Smoke Bombs enhanced by the Lockdown perk.
  4. I also completed the 25 kills with my shotty and got a lot of OHKs at point blank range as I should have.. Shottys are not weaker; you just have to be closer and aim for the head. I got a Buckshot Bruiser medal last night in the IB in the alleged post-shotgun nerf, so the rumors of the death of the gauge in PvP are greatly exaggerated and it helps that I have pretty good class / weapon synergy. I run a full AGI Nightstalker (Black Hole, Lockdown) and mop up tethered players after carpet bombing them with Vortex Grenades and Envenomed smoke bombs. The stock Next Big Thing has Battle Runner that buffs my max sprint speed even further after a kill and One Man Army buffs my Melee and Grenade cooldown after a kill. Folks are sleeping on that perk synergy for Next Big Thing. It is great on small maps and IMO it is the new Shot Package / Crowd Control now that movement is debuffed when using shottys. My set-up would be marginally better if I had a Monte Carlo and Plated Ahamkara Grips, but I like my current gear and weapon load-out. Graviton Forfeit gives me free use of Shadestep for quick evasion and that allows me to keep Keen Scout active (enhanced tracker / sneak are great for pre-shooting) and I like using Zhalo because the accuracy buff helps with headshots and the chain lightning splash damage on nearby players sets up my next kill. Getting a Double Down with Zhalo fills my super meter and grants me bonus ammo straight to the magazine so I don't have to reload. Now that ARs don't suck anymore, Zhalo is nearly a perfect PvP auto-rifle.
  5. Of all the times for the Pats to fucking lose; when the Steelers depend on them to beat the Jets. Naturally it did not help to walk into M&T Stadium not ready to play football against our most hated rivals who were eager to play spoiler. Fucking Ravens. Fucking lazy Steelers. I hate football.
  6. It hasn't fallen down on mine. This is the antithesis of the usual Casket Match because it fucking ruled. I cannot remember the last Casket Match or Buried Alive gimmick match in the US that I actually liked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qlZDA4V-0g
  7. We all know that the Holiday Special was the excuse used to premier the Boba Fett cartoon.
  8. No real 3D moments in Fury Road or Force Awakens so that is a bit of a waste, but the scale of cinematography begged to be viewed in iMax.
  9. Justin Long in Die Hard 4 >>>>>>>> Edward Furlong in The Crow: Wicked Prayer.
  10. Why have I never seen that Fujinami vs. Mendoza match?
  11. That's what I was thinking. Also. Kevin. Smith. Acting. Kevin Smith as fat hacker in his mom's basement with the best lines in the movie was one of few things in that movie worth watching; the other thing being Maggie Q with blonde hair..
  12. I take it you are not old enough to remember the awesomeness of Fillmore, Tron: Uprising, or Kim Possible? Sadly, I am officially done with Into The Badlands. The Expanse is my new favorite show.
  13. Yeah, at least Ms. .45 had the vaguely appealing Nietchzhean sub-text of vengeance turning victim into monster even though the whole Death Wish 2 deal of vividly depicting violent rape still turns my stomach. If you want to watch some proper vengeance themed horror / thrillers, go chat with Park Chan-wook.
  14. I didn't play any Destiny over Christmas holiday and didn't miss it too much. I spent more time goofing off with Dungeon Siege 3 and tinkering with my new tablet.
  15. Hit the IB yesterday and got to Rank 2 in four matches thanks to leftover bounties and medals and a nice 3 game win streak following a heartbreaking loss. Shotguns are not entirely useless and honestly I think they work as designed now. Close range feast or famine weapons. I got three or four shotgun kills yesterday in the Banner and they don't seem to have lost any punch at close or point blank range and headshots are still 100% lethal and are almost always a OHK unless I'm shooting at some Light 308+ Titan with a Toughness / Recovery build who has the appropriate armor buff for the damage type of his sub-class. It also helps that my Next Big Thing has Battle Runner on it and my gauntlets have the Shotgun Loader perk, so I don't really see the movement or reload speed debuffs. OTOH, I certainly notice the stow speed debuff since I don't have Single Point Sling. It takes a second or two to ready my shotgun and that is an eternity when someone is bearing down on you. I will continue to use my shotgun on smaller maps, but I've gotten more mileage out of Stillpiercer in PvP lately.

    RIP Lemmy Kilmister

Meadowlark Lemon and now Lemmy. I shudder to think who the third will be. I hate 2015.
  17. Steamboat / Flair is probably my favorite feud of all time and Flair has always maintained that Steamboat is one of the best workers he's ever been in the ring with. I love the shoot interview with DM where Flair says that Steamboat could pretty much do or learn anything, but kept his moveset tight as not to overdo it. "If you asked Steamboat to learn how to do a moonsault, he'd do it.. BUT IT WASN'T REQUIRED BACK THEN~!" That is a powerful statement from Flair and I have always been a proponent of the don't do shit just because it looks cool school of pro wrasslin workrate. Grainy though it may be, I love watching the 70's footage from the NWA house shows.
  18. Got the last two TTK Dead Ghosts.
  19. One glaring omission from a couple of those lists is All The Boys Love Mandy Lane. I enjoyed it, but it has proven to be a rather polarizing movie. People either like it or hate it.
  20. House of Traps is one of my favorite SB movies that barely anyone has seen. I can forgive Rodruiguez for having the short kaiju catalogue so long as he keeps the SB library chock full of gems. I don't understand how he has rare treasures like House of Traps and The Battle Wizard and still has not managed to get Avenging Warriors of Shaolin on television. It is not SB, but he needs to work a deal to get The Incredible Kung Fu Mission into the rotation.
  21. You mean poor Miss Philippines. Miss Columbia is going to be a talk show darling for weeks and weeks and weeks.
  22. I did not cry when Han died. I was very proud of myself. Then fucking Luke shows up right at the end and Rey presents the lightsaber and they give each other big ups without uttering one word. I started to tear up and my daughter exclaims, "Aw, Dad. You almost made it..." and gives me a hug which solicited chuckles throughout the audience.
  23. My guess is that it is Anakin's / Vader's grave marking the reliquary where Anakin's ashes are kept. Now that we know Kylo Ren's identity, the scene in the trailer where he is apparently worshipping Vader's helmet as an idol makes perfect sense.
  24. Nope. I am going by old info. No wonder there is a dearth of complaining about the IB this week.
