  1. I am really trying to care about this, but it is hard..
  2. So we all saw this during the game and marked the fuck out, right? B Dubs went fucking nuts during the "My God, that's Jason Bourne!" / Moby's Strange Ways Intro part.
  3. Condit / Lawler and MacDonald / Lawler showcased what a stubborn bastard that Robbie is and what he is willing and able to weather when his pride kicks in. Robbie has won a fight or two against elite level strikers, so the match-up will be interesting. I am reticent to say that Thompson is an overall better striker than Condit, but I will say that I think that Thompson is perhaps a more surgical striker. I don't think that RRL can take too many of those shots from Wonderboy without going down, but if Robbie can absorb a few good blows and walk Thompson down, we'll see how that tests Wonderboy's fortitude.

    The Big Game, v.50

I am happy for Peyton. Not too many guys have an opportunity to go out on top, so he should just go ahead and fucking retire. He came back from death surgery and brought a trophy to Denver so he really has nothing left to prove.
  5. Good win for Thompson. His stock went down with me after the decision win over Cote (he really should've KTFOed Cote). The Ellenberger KO made me a believer again, but I did not think Wonderboy could cope with Big Rig's wrestling. Oh well. Lawler is even more hittable than Hendricks and Lawler likes to stand and trade, so a championship fight will make for an interesting match-up.
  6. Watched the double ep / season finale of The Expanse before the Big Game. I found the big reveal of the amoral organization testing the protomolecule in the belt to be a bit cliché and dripping in the usual dystopian sci-fi tropes, but at least it is in line with the novels. Finally, all of Christian's political wrangling on Earth is tying into the overall plot and she is now more than just some scheming old biddy trying to feather her nest. I've read most of the books so I wasn't surprised to find out that Julie's father was behind the whole thing. I would've like to have seen a whole week devoted to Julie Mao, but I think that the stuff they showed properly conveyed her bravery and commitment. She suddenly became more than a one dimensional muse. The room was quite dusty when the tragedy of her lonely death was finally revealed and the ignobility of the experimentation on her corpse made me quite angry. Miller and Holden not getting along was pretty awesome as was Filat Kothari and the spy getting what was coming to them. I think that Amos has suddenly become the most interesting character on the show now that he's gone from lunkhead bully mechanic to unfeeling and trigger happy social Darwinist in no time flat. I like the effect that has on Naomi. I really hated her using Amos to intimidate Alex and Holden. Made her seem like a spoiled kid that was only concerned with getting her way. She used to be quite the smug asshole, but now that Amos has gone from flunkie to psycho terminator, she has no clue where she stands with Amos or what will happen if she crosses him.
  7. There is a DVD collection of Andy Sidaris movies at K-Mart. My hand covers with sime every time I pick it up, but one day I will buy it and review every single movie.
  8. I've never had a reason to blow the whistle in my organization so who is to say how shit will or won't work? When or if I do, we'll see what happens. Okay, so no Black person under surveillance is an actual criminal that needs to go to jail. Gotcha.
  9. Or you can be totally fucked one way and not so fucked the other. You can leak your story to the media and blow the whistle and not also leak stolen Classified documents whose theft will land you in prison. You can be a whistleblower and not be a criminal. But we're not talking about cops. We're talking about a government program that had obviously gone rogue and needed to be reeled in. Who is to say what was the right or wrong way to bring attention to this, but theft of classified documents is still theft. Good Samaritans sadly go to jail every day and hopefully are one day exonerated. I honestly hope that one day Snowden can come home and not expect to be put behind bars when he arrives. And the US Constitution contains no expressed right to privacy, bro. The First, Third, Fifth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments protect civil liberty against government coercion and the Supreme Court has usually interpreted those collected Amendments as a contract between government and citizens to respect privacy. That being said and back on topic, Citizenfour > Snowden, probably. Stone will give Eric the unreal Jesus treatment just shy of CGI stigmata bleeding as he uploads the documents to the cloud and pushes them to The Guardian.
  10. There is a right way and a wrong way to piss people off. You can either say or do something that makes someone angry and yet they can get over it and still be friends with you, or you make someone angry in a way that invites an immediate assbeating. You can be a whistleblower and not fuck over national security
  11. Clubber Lang was the first great 80's movie villain. Second in the decade only to Biff Tannen or Freddy Krueger.
  12. I don't think it had as many moving parts as Too Big to Fail. You have to break out notebook paper for that shit. I had to take a shower after watching Inside Job. Being a US DoD tech with a TS clearance, I felt kinda dirty after watching Citizenfour, but there is a right way and a wrong way to blow the whistle. Good to see you're being open minded about this.... I am a Jeffersonian at heart. If you sacrifice freedom for security, you don't deserve either and NSA snooping is what happens when people just hand over their civil liberties or sit quietly while they are taken away. That being said as I mentioned before, there is a right way and a wrong way to blow the whistle. By snitching on the NSA, he probably advanced the intel collecting capabilities of other nations by light years. The Russians are showing their appreciation for his info right at this very minute. And let's not be naïve.. Our allies spy on us just as we spy on them. NSA just had the bad luck to get caught doing it after being ratted out. Not everyone that works in a foreign embassy in DC is a diplomat.
  13. POGO~! ME BOUNCY~! or are we talking Pogo, me throw fireball in your face?
  14. This would never happen at my house. If my girlfriend and I played video games to decide who did what around the house, I'd never do chores because I'd always win.
  15. I am guessing I should've said Misawa / Kawada since there aren't too many Lucha teams you really mark for. I am a huge MVC mark, so they will always be the best tag-team to me. I only mention the Roadies because everyone else in the world does and you can't leave them out of the discussion.
  16. I personally wouldn't proclaim Demolition the best team ever, but I can see the argument especially considering the handicap they were saddled with.. Eadie, Darsow, and Adams managed to work within the confines of the Demolition monster brawler gimmick even though they all had extensive backgrounds. Eadie left his Masked Superstar arsenal in the locker room just as Darsow shied away from breaking out any of the signature moves gleaned from the billions of spots spots he'd used over dozens of gimmicks. And then there was Brian Adams, trained by Inoki and possessing a solid boxing and karate background, yet he did not incorporate any kicks or utilize his pugilistic skills when donning the Demolition Crush gimmick.. All that unused technique and Demolition still managed to stay in the title picture, wrestle smart, work stiff, and get convincing wins over really good teams. Demo kept it simple. They just beat people up. Best team ever though? I think my vote would go to either The Road Warriors, Williams / Gordy, or Hase / Mutoh, I think it is sad that the youngest member of that team died first.
  17. Ax, Smash, & Crush add something new. Sugar & Spice take on the indy Demolition combination of Smash & Blast. Demos beat Arn & Tully to recover their titles on free television.
  18. The maps would work to the benefit of long range engagements if you didn't have high AGI Hunters like me covering ground in no time flat, so unless the map has clearly defined sniper nests like Shores of Time or alley killzones like Pantheon, you are better off running and gunning at short to medium range. My Bladedancer has made a career out of outflanking and Arc Blading the shit out of preoccupied snipers. My load-outs depend on what sub-class I am running. Gunslinger: TLW or First Curse, Stillpiercer, Ruin Wake Bladedancer: Zhalo or Hawksaw, Next Big Thing, Ruin Wake or Dark Drinker Nightstalker: Same as Bladedancer I always check out the roster before a match. If there are a bunch of low lights, I will use Hawksaw and my exotic sword. If most people are above 290, then I use Zhalo.. The exception being that I always use TLW or First Curse with my Gunslinger.
  19. Sicario is easy top 5-10 for me. I find the bleak piece of work comment funny just from the aspect of Beasts of No Nation being #2. Fantastic film. Elba should have been nominated for an Oscar. Beasts was a brutal watch but at least I felt angry about what was on screen. Sicario just numbed my soul.
  20. Wow, Axl Rotten, Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, and Dave Mirra all gone within 24 hours of each other. it does indeed happen in threes. The evil of 2015 is bleeding over into 2016.
  21. I heard about this in tandem with Axl's death and now my girlfriend tells me that Maurice White of Earth, Wind, & Fire passed away. It is 2015 all over again.

    Random music thoughts

I heard about that this morning along with Dave Mirra committing suicide and Axl Rotten passing away. It is 2015 all over again.
