Doubting El Dandy

Outside of Who and Sherlock I haven't seen much else from the UK except for Derek which I loved and Copper which is also pretty darn good. Want to start watching Orphan Black, hopefully it will wind up on Netflix soon.

I loved it. Fantastic send off. Not as emotional as the Tennant finale but still really well done. I loved how simple they kept the plot, and it did feel like the most RTD style episode I've seen from the Moff, but that being said it always felt like he was continuing the RTD over arching story line forward when he took over to it all felt like quite a nice wrap up. And at least for a while some of the Moffat haters can choke on a bag of shit. It felt like everywhere I read about this show people were bitching that Moffat's ego is so big all he wants to do is be the guy to tell everyone what the Doctors real name is. I never thought for a second they would be so stupid as to think they could actually do that reveal and have it be great. I'm pretty sure they are aware that there is nothing any Doctor could say when revealing his name that wouldn't result in a let down. However I would make an exception if the new Doctor were to reveal his actual name as PETER FUCKING CAPALDI~! I would then make an exception.

We are one step closer to me theory of everyone dying and the kids being shipped to a nice happy home where they grow up never knowing about any of this horse shit.

So.......is ROH or whoever owns them now......ever.......going to try and make something of the company in any way, or is the plan to just run as is from now until whenever the owners get tired of spending money on it? Seriously wondering. It feels like they've taken several steps backwards since even the HDNet days, at least then they managed to have shows produced in the standard TV format. The last time I saw them on my local FOX channel it looked less like a new and cutting edge company and more like the reruns of an old local indy, or has that changed since then (it was in like late 2011)

If people didn't see the writing on the wall for Hero when they dumped him from the show because he wasn't a fucking Gym Rat then surely you would have noticed that his return to TV story line was that of a guy who was injured by some guys, who fought through injury to comeback for revenge and lose.....TWICE. Considering how stupid the WWE booking has been since SummerSlam this roster move is right in line with their thinking, so I guess good for them. I'd say they are really missing out but it's not like Chris can go anywhere and really prove them wrong.

I think it's an excellent step up from last year. AI is more aggressive, they actually hit their big moves and go for pins, reversal system is great. Universe mode is better just with the AI matchmaking improvements and the ability to handle the rivalries this year. Mania mode has also been a blast to play. I'd say it was worth the money where as I couldn't say the same thing for '13.

And here I was about to jump in this thread to kvetch about the lack of substantive reviews. I presume are you kidding, because that review is anything but substantive. :-)

Is it me, or once HHH got in the ring the crowd got noticeably more quiet until the finish of the match?It seemed like a lot of people just went quiet and started back up their isles to go home like "damn, this is what we get for spending so much money on these seats, we should have known better".

Odd I thought Meltzer said that he was told that it was under 3,000. Friend of mine has a brother in law that goes to SDSU out there and he said they were giving away tickets like crazy.

Depends on when you buy the game honestly. All pre-orders come with Warrior, but he will eventually be made available after all the other DLC packs are released. That being said I didn't pre order WWE 13 last year, picked up on the second day of release and that game still had a code for Tyson in it.

Gabriel was teaming pretty regularly with Tyson Kidd before he got injured, and this was also before they started pushing the tag division again. I'd say the obvious choice for ridiculously fun matches would be Gabs and Neville but neither could cut a promo to save their life, so I'm not sure how over they'd get. Then again Evan Bourne pretty much got over huge with cool spots....speaking of which why isn't he at least on NXT working matches? I heard Meltzer say he was cleared and that was a while ago.

On the roster. They lock that shit down in March. If you weren't wrestling on screen in March you aren't in the game. Big E and Fandango didn't make in ring debuts on TV until Mania really. The others way after that. Plus you'd have to assume they want to cash in DLC and they know people will pay it. The only real WTF inclusion is DAVID OTUNGAHe's had three televised matches all year. The Royal Rumble match, a match on Superstars, and a match on RAW. He hasn't even worked a house show since March. So color me surprised.

Just so we're clear. Is the aim of this show to get everyone to want to see everyone on the show get killed and the little kids get sent to live with nice families? That's the vibe I'm getting from this, and just about every other good show on TV these days.
