  1. I'm shocked at the finish- Naito may be ruined by it. Only way it makes sense is if they're going all in on Omega soon.
  2. Have Kenny beat Naito for the belt during the year- then defend it while being worn down vs Okada. Betting if the Bucks and Scruill lose tonight that Kenny will get screwed by BC.
  3. Well, if first pinfall or sub wins, who gets the win in a DQ?
  4. More like is one popular among kids, another among salarymen, etc.... I think I heard that Ingobernables tended to get a lot of support from NEET-types.
  5. Is there a difference between say, Bullet Club fans and Suzuki-Gun fans?
  6. this might be Trump's idea- he's had a long vendetta against the NFL, and he's convinced Vince that there's a crowd of NFL-haters looking for an alternative.
  7. I feel like Omega is hammy, but it works. It doesn't work as much with the Bucks- who are more comedy guys to me. I see them as flippier Colt Cabanas. That might be because Omega is a lot better athlete than the Bucks, and because his offense looks like it hurts.
  8. http://uproxx.com/prowrestling/yoshihiro-takayama-fire-pro-wrestling-don-frye/ Takayama DLC incoming for the game to benefit him.
  9. Cesaro isn't the modern day Angle, he's the modern day Greg Valentine. There's value in having Valentines , but they're not WWE main eventers .
  10. Is it wrong to like Luger's yelling selling? At least he sold.
  11. I don't know how anyone could call that Broken Matt thing good. From what I saw of it, it looked super overproduced. The TNA version was a lot more menacing and more fun.
  12. This week also was pretty solid booking to go with the in-ring. Everything just seemed to make sense.
  13. I could easily see those two trying to outdangerous each other.
  14. Would need to combine it with an overall con I think to draw 10k. You might get something weird like ACH vs George South and Johnny Impact vs Toru Yano in a match where you must sell 10 DVDs to fans in order to win.
  15. I remember Evangelion was what really opened the floodgates, with another floodgate opening when bittorrent became popular and killed off the era of VHS fansubs. I remember hearing about some of the raw 7th generation VHS tapes some of the older folks used to have here from usenet back in the those days when I was too broke to have anything.
  16. First time ever going to one of these events. A decent number of folks left early in order to hit Starcade. Got to talk to three people a bit. You can't really judge because it's just a snippet- but Johnny Mundo/Taya seem like really good folks, Cornette is incredibly sharp and witty, and Matt Striker's pretty nice and gracious also. I generally want to believe good things about people I like though, especially given the lack of goodness in the world right now. Brought a friend who had like zero wrestling experience to the thing because I had planned to gift this to someone, and he couldn't make it- so had a spare ticket. George South really made him laugh- mostly because of the bible-thumping. Being a Jesus freak makes you a really annoying and effective heel if you're a millenial- the Progressive Liberal would have been a huge face at the event. I did feel bad that some of the LU folks didn't get as good a reception as I anticipated. Johnny got one, but ex-WWE, Taya and Ive earned theirs by busting their ass and bringing the hate and violence, but the Mack (they had two Macks there, one was a local guy) and PJ Black didn't get a lot of love. PJ looked really rusty out there too, but I"m going to cut him a ton of slack because of the basejumping injury and just returning to action. Was also mad a couple of folks were shitting on Severn vs Josh Woods- but it wasn't for everyone. I think people are seeing a C-O-N-SPIRACY about Starcade trying to kill Wrestlecade. I think these things were decided months in advance.
  17. You had two nostalgia choices in the Triad last night- Starcade or Wrestlecade, hit the other show. Cornette announced his retirement (He'll probably retire as many times as Terry Funk), Got to see Lawler use an iron claw, a fun but weird Dan Severn/Josh Woods match that was shat on unfairly for no reason, and Ivelisse and Taya really brought the hate well.
  18. Last week's show was a reality good hour of TV from top to bottom. Think it was one of the best shows I've ever seen from ROH.
  19. Gotta say that Daniels and Cody don't need flaming tables to have a good match. Not enough hate to even justify it.
  20. Just saw the Dream/Black match. Very good, but I can see where the Dream is still a bit green, but he'll get better with time. I would have loved it if after the words Black spoke Dream just collapsed in a heap with a smile on his face. That would have been the perfect ending. Great story and very good match though.
  21. It is kinda a sign of WWE's failure to raise new talent that they had to bring in all the old guys. It's the exact same thing many of us 20 years ago, including some of the same posters here, were pillorying WCW for, and Hogan wasn't as old as some of the guys WWE is trotting out.
  22. I was expecting it, but not the doing it when it was done. That was something I didn't expect.
  23. waiting for the NEVER Brass Knucks States Heritage championship.
  24. You guys went full Cornette. You never go full Cornette.
