  1. They had me biting on a potential Mox win but it was total relief when Cowboy Shit prevailed..... So, can Full Gear top All Out?
  2. Glad for Isaiah but I hope the rest work out, especially with how green Briana looked. Was really surprised by how many picks were just dudes staying put though. Surprised they split up New Day again too. As for the rest of the episode good lord that Seth at Edge's place segment was awful and just, kept, going.
  3. And if I might add Jun Kasais, and Mecha Mummies, and Orange Cassidys, and the puppets from Firefly Funhouse
  4. "Let's call it was it was... the ye-tay was butt fucking Hulk Hogan." - Conrad Thompson
  5. Am I the only one thinking Shane hears about Gage vs. Arquette and thinks "well if the guy from Ready to Rumble can do a deathmatch..."
  6. "They send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue." Shit I didn't know he was serious!
  7. I'm not as harsh on MJF as the rest of you but that promo did rub me the wrong way. I think MJF is great where he has a goal in place. His promos on Jericho during the 5 labors were really good and his whole program with Cody even after talking about how there would be no rematch was all fantastic. Having a legit gripe against Cody and wanting to take Jericho's spot gave him that focus. That was just missing from the Kid Pillman thing, just felt like MJF was way above that program. There's definitely something to MJF and Darby having a program though since they are most likely gonna be the franchise at some point but good lord that got off on the wrong foot. I guess what bothered me is MJF didn't have to go that low. The school shooter line really shouldn't have been there (disclosure, I'm a teacher) and bringing up the car accident didn't feel shitty and heelish but... yeah, cheap. MJF could have brought up since Darby hooked up with Sting he lost the TNT title or a host of other things. I'm sure these two have a great program in them and I'd be down for any combination of Pinnacle vs. Mox/Darby/Kingston/Sting at some point though. I... might have teared up a little when -1 hit Uno with the papers. Seconding what everyone else said about how great Amanda Huber was in that moment too. Not really sure what's next for Dark Order if it's something more with Hangman or a new (fiendish?) Exalted One but so many of those guys are so talented (Uno, Stu, Colt) or seem to have a lot of potential (Silver, Angels) that I hope they find some real direction again. (Also the Fatality is one of the dopest finishes in the company).
  8. Classic, my vote goes to this one though https://youtu.be/Ab_kx2e4cXw
  9. Going to Get Lost A Lot tonight, anyone know if Melrose has a no bags policy?
  10. Okay Mitchell really needs to be on more episodes And just like that, there goes any goodwill Cena might have built up over the years. Like man, f that guy. Was cool to see Cage and the Bucks talk about what an influence Kanyon was on them. Kind of second that as bad as WCW got, Kanyon was one of the bright spots. I think we can all point to him Kanyon Cutter-ing the dude in the parking lot like waaaaaaaaaay in the background as an awesome moment. Even if WWE was a no go for him, it's too bad is issues kept him from making a decent life for himself on the indies or hell even as an "elder statesmen" in mid 2000s Ring of Honor. I feel for the dude feeling like he had to live that secret for so long but thankfully was surrounded by supportive people later.
  11. Wasn't so high on night 1 with the A Block but Naito and Zack ruled, not too comfortable with picking winners since I've been pretty bad at it the last few years but out of the entire field Naito vs. Shingo at Wrestlekingdom seems like the most enticing option. Really hoping KENTA mercs Yano for that down the line..... Really enjoyed Night 2 for B Block though, Taichi and Goto was outstanding and was really surprised by how good Sanada and Tama was. If anyone deserves "fight forever" it's Okada and Tanahashi, every time they get together it feels like magic.
  12. Someone pointed out the EZ pass was really visible too and I felt bad but I couldn't stop laughing after that, hahaha. Easy to feel like NJ got short changed with how loaded Dynamite and Rampage are gonna be next week. Feel like Britt/Ruby or SuperKliq/Jurassic Express could have happened this week but (at least on Rampage) but this show was totally worth the 500 plus day wait (friend messaged me the exact number last night). But even still we had Adam Cole's in ring debut (I was at the NXT Brooklyn he debuted at too which was some nice symmetry) Sting and Tully getting into it 2.0 Main eventing A proper Suzuki Gun ass kicking to close the show And a mostly fun Rampage that'll be discussed on Friday. Only thing was I don't know what was up with the audio but some of the in ring promos were a little hard to hear. It wasn't all night but sometimes a video package would come on and it would take a minute for the sound to come up so I'll be watching the show again later this afternoon. Totally not an audio issue but Jersey came correct letting MJF know how they felt and we barely heard any of what he had to say.
  13. I don't know. I liked last night's episode about as much as I've enjoyed any other recent episodes of NXT. They paint the whole "new direction" but it still felt like what it's been, which might be worse than if the show was actually worse than usual since then at least you can see what the changes would have been. I did kind of like the master troll job of sticking Van Hammer (forgot his name, don't feel like looking it up) as a sub for Kyle with all the talk of how NXT is going to be about bigger dudes like with that we thought there was a real chance of "Shit, they're actually going to do that...." The wedding was fun, about as much as a wrestling wedding could be. Indi and Dexter have a really fun chemistry and I hope this lasts a while. When this whole thing first started I figured Indi was going to end up tied up in a crawl space somewhere but hey happy ending! I guess The Creed brothers are cool, been some quality squash matches out of them and that keeps up for a while, totally the best part of the show for the past two weeks. After NXT's glory days though, kind of sad that I lump NXT with Impact. I enjoy both but really only to the extent of "Well there's nothing else on tonight." Oh, positive, the Wale theme is pretty good!
  14. Was the dig at her part of the suspension? I thought it was mostly the r*pe comment
  15. Okay, I knew Julia had the injury angle for All Out but she was on the graphic for the match on their socials. Mox making save, I get giving him the Cincinatti moment but everything felt a little too... convenient. Pillman's regular partner isn't there so Mox gets to have another moment. I was talking with two friends about Skyline (we're all good cooks), one really liked it and one thinks its gross so I felt like I'd have to be the tie breaker but yikes, that doesn't sound great. I have a secret recipe for my chili but noodles does sound weird. And it's not even that they appear infrequently but there's something to when they go missing. Sammy had the huge moment keeping the Inner Circle together at Double or Nothing which was this big star making moment now he's barely on the show. And I get you want to showcase the big new signees but there has to be a balance of what you've been building before. I love that guys like Miro, Kingston, and Archer are there and there's so much possibility for what can be done with Punk, Danielson, and Cole but gotta remember that Sammy is there to be the future with MJF, Darby, and Jungle Boy.
  16. "Okay Ric Flair, I'll team with you to take on your mortal nemesis and Son in Law, Andrade... BUT IF YOU SCREW ME!" - Sting I had this whole thing ready to go about how yeah I am pretty down on how Andrade's been used so far but the idea him and Flair vs. Sting and Darby when the time is right would rule (and Darby is beefing with Tully now....) . He was a really big signing but feels like he's gotten lost and directionless especially with Malakai/Danielson/Punk/Adam Cole coming after. But if the Flair stuff is true I can be a little patient. In other topics it's been talked up that Andrade's thing is that he has great match but then his chyron noted this was his first match since May (against Sydal) and his second match overall. I really hope they find a spot for him now that the initial waves are kind of over with the other huge debuts. And yeah I know Pac's travel issues have been a part of this too. Wonder why no Griff Garrison last night. Castor had Bowens in his corner so why not have Pillman have his partner. The graphic even said Pillman was supposed to have Julia as his second for this match too. I really like the winks that Castor's suspension and it being the chili line where Bowens was like "You're on this ice already!" Also I've never had skyline chili but this past week has me kind of curious about it now.
  17. I'm trying to stay optimistic that they brought back the Demon and they aren't going to just feed him to Roman but with Brock there you know Roman's not dropping the Universal title before then (or possibly after). I wonder if the Big E. thing is an out so Roman can lose it that way before, then Balor beats Roman in a non title situation. Buuuut then I remember it's WWE so we're probably just killing the demon here. Really liked Seth and Edge, better than their Summerslam match too. With the way commentary has been selling the stomp could end Edge's career again wondering where this goes or how long he's been written off for. During Seth's little promo after the ambulance segment, I kept expecting him to break what he was doing and just start gloating but hopeful this is a new quality to the messiah character, like doing this broke him in a way maybe. I don't really think WWE has their backs to the wall. Ratings have been declining even before AEW was a concept and it's not AEW is actually stealing their fans (like Nitro did to Raw back when). Also there's that disconnect in WWE that ratings and profits aren't connected with their money coming from Fox and Saudi more than fan engagement (merch/tix/etc). I remember when Dynamite first started airing and a few of my friends were like "Well this is when WWE gets good when Vince knows there's competition" and around the time the creative was putting thew the Rusev/Lashley/Lana jawn ala If Dynamite and Smackdown were on the same night I'd kiiiiind of the get argument but I feel WWE's gonna do what it's gonna do, bring back people to pop a rating with no concern to anything long term. Yeah having Cena back for a month was fun but as much as I love Roman and the Bloodline it's still the same thing week after week with them.
  18. From Tama Tonga's instagram, Picking him to win G1 now https://www.instagram.com/p/CTp8V8NBsdW/
  19. Good lord that was the best wrestling show I've seen in ages. This easily could have felt like overkill but Punk's hero's return, Ruby having that moment, the little swerve for Cole being back in the Elite, and following that up with Danielson, plus Suzuki showing up. If I made a top 5 list of dope stuff on this show, it says a lot that Miro and Kingston might not crack it. I am beyond stoked for getting to finally see them live soon (Newark show).
  20. I'm guessing things were looking like they would have been able to do higher capacity before things got bad again. I felt like lack of a crowd, or even moreso having the quiet crowd took a little out of most of this card, especially Okada and Cobb (Which was great!) I was surprised Sho went BC/EVIL's group, I thought he would have been a better fit with Empire since they're still a new group and can use the numbers (and a junior) but if it's EVIL building his own group I'm okay with it, and it's been (checks watch) 25 minutes since we've had a Bullet Club infighting story. Man Tanahashi is right there with Shingo as New Japan's MVP for the past two years. Really hoping he has a good a G1
  21. I was laughing a lot at "You're cut! You're cut!" haha. I know Impact is the least notable of the big American promotions these days but that package really made Deonna feel like a huge deal. Was never a fan of the Crists but Josh vs. Jake was really good and I really dug the main even too. Impact's been on a good little run recently, wasn't really sure what was up with the EY/Rhino Segment but kind of hoping it full crazy like the old Jake Roberts/Warrior segments that.... sadly didn't lead to anything.
  22. Power went out for me a little into the show last night so just caught up this afternoon. Not sure if it was connection but TNT's streaming kind of sucks sometimes, especially the ads seem to buffer constantly compared to the main video. That ending, was really effective in me wanting to see Penta and Fenix straight up murder the Bucks and really hoping they finally take the belts. It's crazy how the cold spray is such a goofy heel weapon but in the context of spraying people trying to climb a cage it felt like Cutler was straight up macing people. That Kingston promo made me remember why I became a fan of his in the first place, really hoping he beats Miro on Sunday.
  23. Thanks homie, fixed But at the same time that injury was pretty gruesome
  24. I don't know if it's about them leaving so much as it is about not being able to team anymore with Cash's injury. I feel like Bucks vs. FTR has happen again someday too. Then again it's wrestling so it might just be a work but I think that's also me hoping Cash's injury isn't as bad as they've been selling it to be.
