  1. Thanks. Not sure why they don't have it in the normal spot but this will give me something to watch later.
  2. I was hoping to catch this on Max after work today but I can't find the replay anywhere so that's a bummer. Most of the Omega/Ospreay tag is on YouTube and that tiny ring is jarring!
  3. I'm jealous it's not coming out on PS5 (yet). There's a ton of stuff I wanna play later this year and was hoping Avowed would bridge the gap. It's looking like Civilization 7 won't be that good until they release some more content over the year either so I guess on the plus side I'll save some money
  4. I absolutely despise Nigel on commentary but replacing him with Corey Graves would be some real monkey's paw shit for me. I've also been loving the stream on Max. I usually ordered the PPVs and watched Dark and Elevation when those were a thing but I rarely got the chance to watch Dynamite. It and Collision are now in my weekly routine and it's been a nice distraction. I don't enjoy ratings talk much but I am curious about how many viewers they're getting on Max. I wonder how many people were in my same boat with no cable access that can now watch every week.
  5. My "yes" vote is logged but I am ready for Mox to go ahead and lose the title. I'm more than down with Hobbs winning it next week, even if it's not a super-long reign. If they're waiting for Darby to win it in July that doesn't work for me, brother
  6. I thought Grand Slam Australia was just a Dynamite/Collision taping. I guess that just shows how poorly it's been promoted, though I suppose they're not trying to sell tickets to some guy in Florida
  7. PlayStation has a 2 hour demo for Black Myth Wukong and it totally sold me on the game. I really wish demos were more of the norm.
  8. Even though the game is cooked I just can't get into the new 2K gameplay after so long with the AEW engine. It doesn't help that I don't know who most of the WWE guys are but the combat is so painfully slow
  9. I love Mortos and knew he wouldn't be a force in the C2 but I was hoping he'd get at least one win, and Shelton would be the easy pick for that win. TK clearly loves Mortos or else he wouldn't feature him on every single show but I'm hoping by this time next year he's a bigger deal
  10. The Margaritaville segment was on the RAW before Survivor Series 2001. I remember it vividly because I went to that PPV and I had also never heard the song before that segment and had no idea what they were going on about.
  11. It's only for the version with ads but I'm primarily getting it for AEW so I'm all over it. That's about what a month of it costs on the top tier.
  12. I played for 100 hours and was able to beat it on every deck and win on the hardest setting. I uninstalled it because it was starting to seep into my dreams but I'm sure I'll reinstall at some point
  13. I've got 12 hours in 2K24 but I've only played two matches. I've just been doing My GM and trying to figure out if I hate it or not. It's definitely a better mode than 2K22's version. After playing so much AEW it's just hard transitioning to the clunky controls here but eventually I'll try out some of the weird gimmick matches. I also don't know who most of these wrestlers are so it's disappointing I can't play as some of the "legends" from the get-go. I'm glad it was a monthly freebie otherwise I probably never would have tried it
  14. An acquaintance of mine only got back into wrestling when Smackdown came to Fox so I'm sure he'd be fine with some new wrestling. Besides antenna all he uses is Tubi. AEW could definitely pick up some newer fans from this
  15. Anyone have a link to a clip of the crowd reaction to Hangman walking back towards the ring? Apologies if I missed it earlier in the thread.
  16. I only get to catch up on the cable shows through YouTube but they put up a good chunk of that 4-way Rampage main event. It was nice to see Takeshita back and look dominant but The Beast Mortos is so freaking awesome, I need to see more of him. I don't know how he pulls off half the shit he does with that giant mask in the way. All the clips of Hologram have made him out to be a star too. I've always been anti-brand split but maybe it's time to make Collision its own thing. Make the TNT title the main belt and go off from there. They seem to be pulling decent ratings with the random cards they've been throwing together, maybe with a little more roster consistency they can build on that.
  17. How could I forget Bun B? He added an extra layer of hype to Swerve's entrance and he was a pleasant surprise
  18. Ironman Casino Gauntlet, most pins/submissions wins. The first few entrants have more time to score but the last few entrants have the advantage of being fresh. Someone like Claudio comes in late and instantly pins/submits 3 guys and is suddenly in the lead. Probably too much of a nightmare to book but I wish I thought of it when I still played with wrestling toys. I like the Casino Gauntlet but I kinda hate how it's sudden death the entire match. It is refreshing to see a unique match type and I can't say the one at All In wasn't extremely entertaining.
  19. Forgot to give my opinions on the show. I took the day off of work to watch this since I missed last year's and the card seemed much better this time. Toni/Mariah was great but I'm still surprised it went so early. Mercedes tried her best to carry Britt but it was kinda flat. Her finisher seems like it could be cool but it always looks so awkward. Her sidewalk slam and body slam off the top looked awesome though. The ladder match was inoffensive and the Tag Title bout was dragged down by the absolutely terrible distracting referee. That guy needs to go, worst referee I've ever seen and AEW and WWE both have a lot of bad ones. The gauntlet match had some cool spots and it was nice to see Ricochet but I don't think I like the gimmick of the match. I think it would work better as an elimination style match but I never saw the other ones so maybe they were better. This was my introduction to Zach Sabre Jr and he lived up to the hype. Christian should have some fun with his little MiTB gimmick. Ospreay/MJF was great, the streamers were distracting. I'm still new to Ospreay but I thought the Storm breaker was his death move but MJF easily kicked out at 2. I thought the whole diamond ring being stolen was a gimmick and expected to see it finish the match so it was nice when that wasn't the case. Darby/Perry was just fine for what it was. I wish the Jericho/HOOK match took the less is more approach this match did And I don't know what else I could say about Danielson/Swerve. They both came out looking great and I'm so thrilled we've gotten all these bonus years of Dragon wrestling.
  20. I'm thinking Mox comes back soon and does a legit heel run trying to kill Bryan
  21. I would guess a few of those coaches have very little to do with match layout/booking. I know Chimel mainly works with TV production since they don't use the same camera crews every show. He also barely watches wrestling so he stays out of the in-ring stuff.
  22. The last of the Season 4 Fight Forever DLC came out today. I haven't seen much Jay White but I tried a few matches out and he seems pretty solid. The tournament mode can have either 4 or 8 participants. There is also a tag team option with 4 or 8 teams which I was pleasantly surprised to see. For the singles tournament you can select different match types too but I haven't seen an option to have a tournament for a title. Once I play around a bit more I'll let y'all know if I find any other fun stuff in there.
  23. I made it to the final boss and that's gonna be a whole thing. Otherwise I'd say I'm about 70% through the DLC. I've done most of the dungeons and Remembrance bosses. I might take a break for a bit because one of those bosses is really frustrating me and feels almost broken.
  24. I'm house-sitting for somebody and they have cable so I was actually able to watch Dynamite and I picked a great episode to watch. Bryan/Pac was a great start and it didn't slow down after that. I didn't even mind Chris Jericho that much
  25. I played CK 3 for a few hours and enjoyed it but it didn't click for me. I've been trying to fill my Civilization void with that, Tropico 6 and Stellaris but they're not scratching that same itch. Luckily I got them all cheap so I'm sure I'll revisit them sometime next time I have a back injury and have nothing but time to kill.
