  1. Always loved the SS 88 tag team tag match. The double turn with Powers Of Pain and the Demos was so very well done.
  2. I would say the main at Survivor Series was worse. We all knew the Punjabi Prison match was gonna be shit. I had really high hopes for the elimination tag match, and the match didn't come within spitting distance of those hopes. So for me, Punjabi Prison was only the second worst match of the year
  3. The guy somehow did all his aging by the time the 90s started.
  4. Jax has been wrestling for a bit over 2 years. If The Rock had walked after that amount of time put in, his whole Hollywood career never would have happened. Bad advice if that is how things went down .
  5. As far as content for the TNA app goes, does it include classic Xplosion episodes? There's some hidden gems on there. One episode in particular has Siaki shoot knocking out CB Cane with a clothesline and trying to suplex his unconscious body, and in the next match Spider Nate Webb missing a moonsault to the floor. On purpose.
  6. To be fair though, its gotta be pretty tough to gig yourself flying through the air and getting it done before your face hits the cage
  7. Whoa, those look great!! Well, all but Finn, dude looks super bloated or something. Flair looks tremendous. Glad they chilled out on the "gorilla press" action models.
  8. Post WCW he did a few regular shots in Minneapolis indies, and the fans there always razzed him for being so pitifully dull. This was not a "smark" crowd either. He was playing face and got more heel heat than anyone else. It was hilarious.
  9. As Dr. Ivo Robotnik? Would his finish have been the Mean Bean Machine?
  10. Not sure how this stacks up against some of the all time greats in this thread but I marked out hard for this as a kid. Chalk up another on for DiBiade.
  11. Would he still be interested though, considering he owns NWA now? Maybe (another) merger?
  12. From what I understand, that was Scott Hall's idea. The reasoning for being able to trade punches with Murdoch is spot on. Hall also said he requested this as a show of thanks to Murdoch for mentoring him in Japan years earlier
  13. Soft mat, all the way. The chance of possibly twisting a knee/ankle is a fair trade for a definitely sore back/tailbone/neck. Its also likely going to effect the quality of action; guys aren't going to want to take painful or risky bumps on a hard surface. There's a reason guys don't generally take German suplexes on the unprotected floor.
  14. I think he got held back by his gimmick. Not that it was that bad or anything, it was just way too cartoony for an era where they were moving towards reality based characters.
  15. I could ramble for paragraphs about everything wrong with the House of Horrors match, but I'll keep it simple. It was a total bore. Like, grade school Haunted House level decor. Ridiculously ponderous. Bray clearly had no game plan. Its his place right? Why not have a bunch of weapons at the ready? Or booby traps? Or a whole crew of dudes ready to pummel Orton? What it comes down to is that should've been campy fun, not some far too serious grudge fight. Dud city.
  16. Fair assessment. I miss the days of Bret Hart selling his knee throughout an entire show.
  17. Selling is just something Rollins does to kill time until its time for him to make his Superman comeback and hit all his signature spots
  18. Its a shame he got saddled with that DOA gimmick, Hunico is damn good
  19. The suplex off the ramp was pretty careless on Taz's part. He could have started about a foot farther up (which is three feet in Taz's world) and moved the guardrail flush with the ramp. But then again, he only hurt himself and him smoking his head means we're still talking about it 2 decades later, so, good job?
