  1. Randomly watching Clash of the Champions.. got to Pillman vs Eddy and they didn't bleep Heenan when he blurted the F-word when Pillman grabbed him ringside.
  2. Finn's ring work bores me. His entrance is absolutely killer... so he has The Ultimate Warrior thing going on that gets the kids and ladies all in a frenzy. I never thought much about his mic work... he speaks English, so that's a plus. I do thinkle he's absolutely deserving of where he's being placed at on RAW. He is a license to print money and got the biggest pop Monday night when everyone was on stage. Thst again flues into the notion that people have here that the audience at RAW is not the same audience that watches NXT. The dude is over, has credibility, and is ready for the main stage. He's not Danielson or Eddy. I would never associate him with those two... but those two are legends.
  3. I want to say that Brett vs Bulldog II was finished with Magistral Cradle. I absolutely agree with you on this topic. Not all matches should feature the finisher. A fantastic way to protect them is to not rely on them in every match.
  4. Murphy was just as good against Nakamura. I think he's very underrated there's serious potential woth him. Good body, good look, nice offense and can sell.
  5. Santana Garrett is straight Rainbow Brite in that outfit.
  6. I personally never found Taue to be at all interesting. What I do find interesting is how influential Akiyama has become in the north american scene. Out of those 5 guys, it was the little blue guy that most emulate.
  7. I loved Larry Z's. He truly was like fine wine. Kept getting better as he got older
  8. Thank you! I knew it was something along those lines
  9. Shanghai Pierce & Tex Slazenger were pretty badass hosses.
  10. A THOUSAND TIMES YES! To the return of Bunkhouse Buck and Col. Robert Parker.
  11. I'd love to see the return of Ray Gordy or Trevor Murdoch.
  12. Age is relative. How old were you when you first watched AJ circa '94 and how old are you now? I was 18 or so in '98 when I started trading. Seeing the "old guys" like Doc, Jumbo, and Hansen going up against the young blood. Being 45 isn't that old. Flair was still a believable champion at 45. In all honesty, it's when I see guys like Randy Orton at 22 or whatever getting the championship. Larry Zybisco said it best - "talent is wasted on youth".
  13. That was quite the genius retort... such poetic prose.
  14. The Dallas 10 Man (2/7/2000). I honestly think that's the only live crowd that can even come close to The Calgary Stampede.
  15. Is it me or are Nattie matches paced way too fast? Or is this just wrestling in 2016?
  16. Smackdown is using different camera angles. That's pretty different. Its.not for the best. You don't want to get too close to a pulled punch action.
  17. Don't wirry. AJ will get that pin back.
  18. Maybe we get the return of X-Pac and Kane finally rocks a green outfit?
  19. You saw the push coming for Dolph from his post draft interview last week.
  20. If there was ever an actor to portray Regal...
  21. Did anyone else find the repeated cuts to different cameraa when Reigns was pummeling Balor in the corner to be just a bit... much?
  22. This was probably covered in the split thread - but are they running different towns or booking an arena back to back nights?
  23. The issue I have with the 2/3 Falls is the pacing of the falls.
  24. You already see the poisoned well with being related to Roman having an adverse effect on The Uso's. I guarantee you won't hear of any relation mentioned between Nia and Reigns on RAW. They'll throw out The Rock, sure... but never Reigns. He needs a cooling off period. The massive 2 year push is a failure. There is no other way to sugarcoat it. He has the talent to be The Guy. It's just unfortunate he's not The Guy that they want him to be. I would have thought that the WWE would have learned this lesson from the Rocky Miavia fiasco. You have to let things happen organically. You can't manufacture a franchise player as there isn't a blueprint for such a thing. The ability to connect with the audience is more important in the WWE than ones wrestling ability. A prime example is Foley. As I think about it... this whole thing is a little reminiscent of Luger. The Total Package that nobody cared about.
  25. You can't bury him at this point. I think he should be taken off for a few months or loaned out to NJPW to figure things out away from the corporate cookie cutter structure of the WWE. Roman needs to spread his wings and develop something that makes him unique... or at least develop a mystique of some kind.
