Last night I came across a fun tag match that just goes to show how far guys today have fallen. Strike Force vs The Bolshevicks in a Best 2 of 3 Falls. A match I vaguely remember seeing when it was originally broadcast in 1987.

Didn't Rotunda rock the amateur singlet in the varsity club? -
I'm pretty sure it's their end goal of having the WWE Network be a digitized wrestling museum. Vince soent decades accumulating libraries and now they have the technology to make money off it - and doing so are preserving a lot of history thst would have otherwise been lost to time.

John Tolos looks like he could still run circles around some guys in this shot What year is this? Judging by Meltzer's look it appears to be 90-91? -
There's a Regal vs Samoa Joe from UPW up from 2000. Random as random gets.

Been watching a lot of old Frank Shamrock lately.. And it made me miss the old style of MMA. Are there any promotions out there in that Pancrase style that showcased Catch Wrestling? I love that stuff. -
I've always wanted to see Bret vs Terry in Amarillo. I remember when that show happened, and just couldn't help but think that is what pro wrestling should always be.

I just wonder if Heel Uso's would see the magical return of the "don't headbutt a samoan" racial angle.
-
Well... they are going for shooty angles now

I rewatched this angle recently and it's just so awesome. Everyone was just amazing in it. -
Well that's ironic from a Darsow perspective.

Does anyone know anything about Wildcat Belts? Reputable? -
Ibushi probably came up with the spot

After the win over Tozawa (which was obvious because they wouldn't have 2 Japanese guys in the semi's), it's becoming increasingly evident that Metalik will be the victor of the CWC.

Advertising would work. I don't even know what network they're on.

Even for the long term - a feud with Rusev over the US Title would have benefitted Reigns a lot more than feeding the Bulgarian Brute to Cena. They gave up the chance for the premier feud for the next decade by not developing that in the second tier.
-
Absolutely agree that Reigns should have worked his way through a second tier championship before being thruster into the World Championship scene.

I'm not sure I dig the US flag being on the center plate for a "World Championship". -

I haven't liked the WWE belts since WM14. They all looked cartoonish. -
As a reply to the Big Cass topic from last month's thread - Cass can handle the stick a lot better than Reigns. I don't think the crowd will turn on him, but he will probably end up a lot like Diesel.

The old Lou Thesz NWA International Championship is one of the prettiest that ever existed (and my favorite of the Triple Crown). As much as I miss seeing the most badass wrestlers in the world draped in history, this belt does do it justice. Makes me want to shoot an email to Dave Millican for a price quote on this.
